Greg Abbott has deployed the National Guard to re-install razor wire to deter migrants - as one mayor declared an emergency amid an influx of 14,000 people.
The Texas Governor launched a blistering attack on Joe Biden on Wednesday, slamming him for 'cutting the wire' and assuring Texans he was having it repaired.
He shared footage of members of the Texas National Guard unravelling the new barrier before putting it up along the besieged banks of the Rio Grande.

Gov. Abbott seems to have grown more forceful since Attorney General Paxton sent the Bush clan packing back to the ranch. I hope this is just the start of a more robust exercise of State Rights and the enforcement of Texas' unique State Constitution.

Good for Abbott. I'm sick and tired of Joey welcoming all the criminals and showering them with benefits while our own citizens get stuck paying for it.

Why not? Merrick gave the middle finger to Congress yesterday. Works both ways.

Here’s a novel idea. Put the National Guard on the border. Take a stand to protect the country’s sovereignty. Line ‘em up five or six deep and play a serious game of Red Rover. The political class is failing us in protecting the border. People in border states have been suffering for years and they deserve to live in peace without the fear of violent illegal aliens and drug cartels traipsing through their property. The world knows we are not serious about the border and will keep coming as long as there is no pushback. It’s time to pushback. Put the razor wire out and back it up with the National Guard standing guard.

The Mayor's of Democrat cities are crying and still Biden is not listening.
If he doesn't listen to his own party who does he listen to.
Why is our border open and what good does it do? What is the reason ? Is there a reason?

The only permanent solution to this problem is to start an 'orange card' work visa program. You can get one and enter easily but as long as you hold it there is no 'credit' towards a green card and citizenship. Social Security payment also will be restricted to your contribution. My guess is an overwhelming majority (99 %) of 'illegals' will take it. Only the Democrats will be opposed.

Closing the barn door after nearly every terrorist, parasite, rapist and thief has passed through from Central and South America, China, the Middle East and places never even heard of. The Border Patrol, National Guard and the US Military should have been out there shooting live ammunition on January 7th 2021 and tossing the bloody bodies back into the Rio Grande. Both republicans and democrats were complicit in this outrageous invasion and decades-long burden on the American people. Would this invasion have occurred in the countries that our government claims to despise, like North Korea, China, Russia, etc. Hell no.

There are about 30 million people in Venezuela, so Biden still has a way to go in allowing Venezuelans to unlawfully enter the USA!

I can't think of a country in history that failed to defend its own border. It's unbelievable what has happened to our country in such a short period of time.

The Biden strategy is clear. The border is open to virtually anyone and he could not care less about the consequences. It is a great idea to bus these losers to ‘sanctuary cities’ and let these virtue signaling morons feel the pain. I hope there is much more of it. I support any means possible to fight the lawlessness of this Administration.

Well at this point, I think we are thankful at any action Governor Abbott takes as now, not just thousands, but tens of thousands are on their way to the border.
I do think the Trumping of Paxton by a rino-led State House has awakened the Alamo fighting spirit in our state. I thank God for it too! This attempted impeachment was only the first battle in the war we must fight to kick out fake Republicans in power positions all over the state.

He's only doing this because he feels the political heat. Some rinos have to be dragged kicking and screaming to do the right thing.

They should use tripod mounted machine guns, not razor wire, to stop this invasion. And if a bunch of them get killed....they should have stayed home.

Next invasion will use a different route.
The illegals don't realize it yet, but they should have stayed home. They are being used for votes. Meanwhile they are basically homeless and receiving minimal care from a country that cannot afford to take care of them.
Stop playing games and build the damn wall.

I really believe...even republicans have used the southern border crisis to their advantage...there has not been any just explanation regarding why Texas cannot shut down the border to protect itself...so why now?... perhaps a President Trump administration is in the offing ?

I'm waiting for Biden to try to federalize the National Guard. Pull up a chair with a bag of popcorn. This really does need to happen, to see where it goes.

Maybe Abbott is feeling the heat so he's seeing the light. One can only hope. Abbott should have stopped this invasion years ago, but he didn't. When Tucker asked him why he didn't have his National Guard stand at the border with guns drawn and stop the illegal aliens from coming across the border, Abbott said, "it's complicated." That's a politician speaking, not someone who cares about his people who are suffering from the millions of illegals flooding his State. I wish Ken Paxton were the governor not Abbott. Paxton is a fighter. The gov is not.

Yes, #6. There’s a reason - Cloward-Piven. Since the left has perfected election cheating, they no longer need these illegals for their votes. Now it’s all about overwhelming the system in order to usher in socialism.

The left is using multiple tactics to overwhelm the systems, including companies like Vanguard and Blackrock continuing to purchase single family homes which they convert to rentals, swaths of them, and/or a house or two on every block in middle class and upper middle class neighborhoods throughout the country. The next step, rent the properties at a low, government subsidized rate to illegal immigrant invader families. That would fulfill the central planners goal to destroy middle class property values, set off a crime wave in once safe neighborhoods and overwhelm systems in the suburbs.

To little to late. Forget the razor wire, he should have been shipping them back from day one. His cities have already been over run with those parasites. If they know they are going right back they would stop. The damage is already done.

Gov. Abbot may as well go ahead a do this, since FJB already has filled credit cards by the bus loads waiting for these intruders! The intruders who made reservations and are waiting for their plane tickets to the other American cities they have chosen. I get the impression that Biden is working WITH the cartels. What's his take, the usual 10%?

It's my understanding that Abbott declared an actual state of emergency on the grounds of the "INVASION" of a sovereign state. This is no joke and perfectly legal under the constitution. Abbott sent shitt for brains a scathing letter explicitly outlining the actions to be taken by Texas due to bai din's and Harris's failures. BRAVO!!!!
