an end to the 'burden' of asylum seekers

Four fifths of New Yorkers say the recent influx of migrants is a 'serious problem' for the state, with many calling newcomers a 'burden' and souring on President Joe Biden's Democratic Party. Fully 82 percent of Empire State voters said the stream of some 100,000 asylum seekers was a concern, and more than half of them — 54 percent — said it was 'very serious,' a Siena College poll shows. When asked about the settling of migrants in New York these past two decades, nearly half of respondents — 46 percent — called them a 'burden' on resources. Less than a third called them a 'benefit.'

Democrat-Communist leaders...not to worry. Next election voters will return to office the same politicians approving the massive influx of illegal aliens and smiling when companies pack up and leave New York. Same applies to Illinois and California. These states are a lock for senile Joe and courtesan Kamala. Cheating elsewhere will make the 2024 election a cakewalk for Marxists seeking entrenchment in power. Judges, of course, will continue in the "get out of my courtroom" mode to challengers of the cheats.

How sanctimonious they were declaring themselves a “sanctuary.” I still hear Andrew Cuomo thundering on about being “the progressive capital” of the country. How mighty were their derisive put-downs of conservatives! Actually, what is unbelievable is that they apparently didn’t think, didn’t know, that their progressive leaders would destroy even them, eviscerate their precious “sanctuaries” without a moment’s concern. Too bad. The exodus of money, business and working people from NYC is epic. Poor, poor idiots.

Trump simply wanted to shore-up the border barrier and wanted $5 billion to do it. Democrats wanted the talking point instead of wanting to solve the problem or improve the process. Now, they may be upset in NYC, but it only matters if you vote for someone other than the people you've elected in the past 4-6 years. Especially if you would vote Republican. Otherwise, you don't get their attention and nothing will change/improve.

How was the survey taken? How many participants were there? If 82% of all New Yorkers were surveyed, they must have started the survey several years ago and are just now completing it. Maybe they asked only one hundred people and 82 of those didn't want the stream of ''asylum seekers.'' What a quaint way to describe illegal alien invaders! A better survey would be ''How do you rate this current mayor?''

And yet they voted Adams in, even though his actually residency in NYC was in question and he held a police desk job. Even worse is the election of Governor Kathy Hokul, a woman with serious questions already on her plate, because they couldn't bear to vote for a Republican, Lee Zelden, who would have actually managed the State well. Some people need to be knocked down and beaten in the head with a 2x4 before they begin to see the light. New Yorkers take even more than that but it's amazing when 82% of them can agree on anything. They voted for Daddy Bloomberg and Mother de Blasio who took them most of the way down the path to destruction and finished it by bringing in Bongo the Fancy Dancer who wanted the position and the paycheck but not the responsibility. Now that the illegals have become a worse problem than the rats and the roaches they are taking notice but will not change their voting practices.

Are we talking about the entire populace of New York or just those that live in the big city? Because I frankly think we should send more illegals to NY City and cut off the bridges. NYC dominates the state anyway so they should feel it. They asked for it, they wanted sanctuary, they should walk the talk. Seal up the mayor and the bureaucrats and the police in there. All of them ASKED for this. Then hold an election for the rest of the state of New York to decide the fate of the city. Dick’s Sporting Goods Inc.’s stock tumbled 22% Tuesday, after the retailer’s second-quarter profit missed consensus by a wide margin, while sales also fell short., and the company squarely blamed theft for its woes. It was the company’s first earnings miss in three years. The last time Dick’s missed profit and sales consensus was in April of 2020, when it was reporting first-quarter earnings for that year. “While we posted another double-digit EBT margin, our Q2 profitability was short of our expectations due in large part to the impact of elevated inventory shrink, an increasingly serious issue impacting many retailers,” said CEO Lauren Hobart in a statement.

A summer surge of COVID-19 has some wondering aloud if we should return to mask mandates. For now, the official line, despite the media effort to rekindle coronavirus hysteria, is that it’s unlikely. But we heard that before, in 2020, right before public health officials dropped their mask tyranny on us. If they do it again, we have an obligation to say no. Are we calling for civil disobedience? Are we suggesting that Americans resist orders that are not laws but are instead decrees issued by despots? Absolutely, and without reservation. Masks are dehumanizing.

The decision to skip the debates quickly drew condemnation from Trump critics

The results of Campbell’s autopsy have not been made public as per state policy, Timothy McGuirk, a spokesman for the Massachusetts Executive Office of Public Safety and Security, told the Washington Post.

Left-wing activist and Harvard prodigy David Hogg said he would "much rather own a Porsche and have a Portuguese water dog and golden doodle" than have children because it's "better for the environment," comments that reflect a broad consensus among college-educated liberals whose mental health has markedly declined since 2016. "I'm never planning on having kids," Hogg wrote in a bizarre Twitter thread. (snip) Having children these days is like owning a boat, Hogg suggested before outlining his vision for a terrifying future of childless decadence. (snip) This is the future liberals want -

As RedState reported, President Joe Biden finally made it to Maui, having left his second vacation of the month to make a half-day trip to the island. That comes after devastating fires left over a hundred people confirmed dead with nearly a thousand still missing, including what is assumed to be many children. From the moment Biden touched down, it was apparent that he wasn't taking the situation seriously (if he even knew why he was there), and once he started to speak, things only got worse. In his first public appearance, the president decided to joke about how hot the ground was. He also brought up the death
