We Won’t Be Masked Again

Original Article

A summer surge of COVID-19 has some wondering aloud if we should return to mask mandates. For now, the official line, despite the media effort to rekindle coronavirus hysteria, is that it’s unlikely. But we heard that before, in 2020, right before public health officials dropped their mask tyranny on us. If they do it again, we have an obligation to say no. Are we calling for civil disobedience? Are we suggesting that Americans resist orders that are not laws but are instead decrees issued by despots? Absolutely, and without reservation. Masks are dehumanizing.

Masks are useless, medically speaking. Social distancing is also stupid. It only ensures tyrants that there slaves can't plot against them in whispers and gives an excuse for absentee voting that can be rigged. 1 citizen, 1 vote, with a stamp of indelible ink prominently displayed is the only fair way to vote.

I just sent an email to several people I know. I think this is VERY important. What is the scientific basis for masking to prevent transmission of respiratory viruses? Just a few days ago I did an online search regarding this question. I used two different search engines -- Duck Duck Go, and Brave. Both searches failed to find a single article (in the first 5 to 6 pages of results) concluding that masking is ineffective. This in splite of my having encountered numerous articles to this effect over the past 3 years. For some reason I failed to note these articles in my ongoing list of "politically incorrect" articles. Today there is an article posted on Issues and Insights that neatly presents strong evidence against the effectiveness of masking. I really believe the strategy of mainstream media and various Google based search engines is to report news in a "glancing" way (short mention when maybe at the top of an news cycle) and then soon afterwards to bury all record ot contrary views. Please take a careful look at the following information. Perhaps you might want to at least copy the links to this information or even maybe print it out for a hardcopy. Otherwise, it looks like it might just "go down the memory hole" in a short period of time. https://issuesinsights.com/2023/08/23/we-wont-be-masked-again/ https://www.city-journal.org/article/do-masks-work https://www.cochranelibrary.com/cdsr/doi/10.1002/14651858.CD006207.pub6/full https://chicago.suntimes.com/columnists/2023/2/8/23591132/cdc-exaggerated-evidence-supporting-mask-mandates-column-jacob-sullum

Masks don't work. They never worked. The overwhelming majority of masks didn't work. There will be some weak-minded people with no common sense who will wear the mask again. There are some people who never gave up wearing a mask. I guess they have their reasons, but if Covid is one of them, then they're just stupid and no amount of info will stop them. The government can mandate all they want; it's not going to work. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

Re, #1, no, flu season starts when the sunlight gets short and natural Vitamin D3 levels begin to drop. Not flu season. I doubt it's actually happening as my starting position. NOT going to ever wear a mask again. Hard NO! I endlessly was at odds with the mask nazies at medical offices, just refused their "required" mask wearing. Only once did it get to the office supervisor coming into an exam room and ordering me to take the mask in her hand or leave. I took the mask, put it on, and she left, and I took it off. Doc came in, did the exam, had a discussion, and I walked out when done, all sans mask. Since then my position has hardened considerably.

The more you try to reason with these people the more emotional and irrational they will become. Their sense of moral superiority will be clear. Re #8, no, not really. I frequently shopped in stores with "masks required" signs without a mask, never once was challenged. Just call their bluff. One Colorado Walmart did have a line, and a big guy outside checking, ONE time, and we looked and walked away, got the same merchandise elsewhere, no masks. Next time we went to that town, no door guard, and we just ignored their 'requirements'. Just refuse their "mandate". You'll quickly find that 99% are unwilling to do the slightest thing to make you wear a mask. Hell, most of them won't stop a shoplifter. You can bet they won't stop an unmasked shopper with actual money.

Normally, we wouldn’t care, but the push to tear down these (and other) dams exposes the rank hypocrisy of the “climate change” zealots. Those four dams are hydroelectric stations. In other words, they are sources of clean, carbon-free energy. According to the non-profit NW Energy Coalition, they produce about 1,000 megawatts of power throughout the year, but that can climb to 2,200 MW during peak energy demand. So, where’s that energy to replace that loss supposed to come from? Coal plants?
