In reporting on a Montana case in which a judge ruled that the state had to include the climate effect of oil and gas permits before deciding on them, the Associated Press showed just how brain-dead the discussions of “global warming” have become. District Court Judge Kathy Seeley ruled in favor of several young plaintiffs – ranging in age from 5 to 22 – saying they “have a fundamental constitutional right to a clean and healthful environment, which includes climate as part of the environmental-support system.” As proof of the harm the plaintiffs are suffering, the order has a list of horribles that includes:

The judge in question was elected to preside over the Montana state judicial district encompassing Broadwater and Lewis & Clark Counties, and her jurisdiction extends no further than the borders of those two counties. She is a left-wing lunatic whose ruling is so absurd that it has been ridiculed as a clown show by observers. That this is being trumpeted as some sort of monumental victory by the "environmental rights" crowd is merely a sign of their desperation as well as the utter corruption of the media who have made this molehill into some kind of mountain . Relax, it's not going to result in any action once the furor has died down.

As proof of the harm the plaintiffs are suffering, the order has a list of horribles that includes: “Olivia expressed despair due to climate change.” “Badge is anxious when he thinks about the future that he, and his potential children, will inherit.” “Grace … is anxious about climate change.” “Mica gets frustrated when he is required to stay indoors during the summer because of wildfire smoke.” Would that be the smoke from wildfires set by eco-terrorists to produce just these results? Should Mica be told he's "suffering" from his friends eco-terrorist attacks?

"Established a government duty to protect citizens from climate change". Stunning in it's arrogant, blind stupidity. But, everything that the government does these days is similarly described....arrogant, blind stupidity. 1) IF the climate is changing, there is absolutely nothing humans can do to stop it. 2) There is absolutely NO factual evidence that shows that human activities have any effect on climate. 3) Weather is NOT "climate", and I argue that any observations of less than two or three centuries duration are NOT climate at all, but only weather. Climate is the average of a century or two's weather. We don't even have temperature measurements over any wide geographic area for two centuries, since the thermometer, which for a long time was only a laboratory instrument, was only invented about 300 years ago.

How sad for these young children to have been used and manipulated in such a way as to have such "concerns" at their ages. Unfortunately, the truth won't sink into their skulls because they've been indoctrinated into believing what they're told. And, this is why Democrats focus on "climate change" since it resonates with so many of their constituents despite having not actual evidence to support their theory. They've convinced so many that anyone who doesn't believe in "climate change" is a denier, and wrong, should be opposed, but mostly voted out of office.

FTA: "...climate as part of the environmental-support system.” Beyond asinine, I can't even make any sense out of this phrase. So maybe it's the environmental-support system (whatever the H that is) that is broken, not the climate?

I cringe when I hear the phrase "Climate Change" (formerly Global Cooling, then Global Warming). You know, people 100-years from now are going to look back at these times and say "how stupid WERE those people, to believe that nonsense".

Great article but a minor quibble. The Earth has been in an ice age for the last 1.8 million years. Periods of very cold climate and massive glaciation last, as written in the article, about 100k years with about 10k years 'inter regnums'. (We ARE approaching a predictable end to warm climate if history is our guide. But past performance is no...etc) Our ice cores from Greenland go back almost 500k years and, yes, they document five ice 'ages'.... but, obviously, there were more. Why do they document only 5? Because somewhere over 400k years back Greenland had no ice. Put that in your Cuisinart and set it to puree.

The Southern Poverty Law Center has its “hate map” of conservative groups that it hopes to marginalize if not kill off entirely. Meanwhile, the feds are looking for vicious, bloodthirsty right-wingers under the bed. But a university survey recently found that the left is more prone to political violence than the right. It’s exactly what we have come to expect from a group that is so sure of its superiority and the importance of its agenda that it’s willing to break an infinite number of eggs so that it can make its authoritarian omelet. How do we know that Joe Biden has made a verbal blunder? His lips were moving. There are so many slip-ups and absurdities coming out of his mouth that it’s hard to keep up. But one recent gaffe stands out: The president said last week during an interview with the Weather Channel that he had already “practically speaking” declared a climate emergency. He of course hasn’t, but should he or another president do so, they would in effect also be declaring themselves to be an American kaiser who could issue tyrannical edicts with absolute power. They would be able to autocratically “

A group of far-left lawmakers has introduced yet another bill to soak the rich. The new bill is called the Oppose Limitless Inequality Growth and Reverse Community Harms Act — the OLIGARCH Act, get it? It would introduce an entirely new tax on wealth above $120 million, starting at 2% and climbing to 8%. This new tax would be in addition to the income tax. Rep. Barbara Lee (D-CA) claims the legislation is designed to “tax extreme wealth, reduce inequality, and combat the threat to democracy posed by aristocracy.” But it would more accurately be described as

Two weeks after President Joe Biden acknowledged the existence of his seventh grandchild, he admitted that the Inflation Reduction Act was false advertising – both of which everybody knew already. Fresh signs of dementia? Perhaps. But it leads us to wonder what else will Biden confess. We have some suggestions. Until a few weeks ago, Biden kept insisting that he had only six grandchildren, four of them granddaughters. In fact, he seemed to delight in pointing this out. At a take-your-child-to-work day event this April, one of the kids asked Biden how many people lived in the White House, to which he answered by saying, apropos of nothing,

What would Bentsen say today about an economy that – instead of blasting ahead at more than 4% a year at it was in 1988 – is barely eking out gains and appears headed to a downturn … despite the fact that President Joe

As many as 1000 persons, many of them children, may have died as a result of the fire in Maui. The exact toll -- above the hundreds documented -- is difficult to assess right now as the bodies are charred beyond recognition and scientific equipment to test the remains are not readily available, but the tragedy -- naturally and without basis -- is being blamed on "climate change” in many of the media accounts. In fact, these people died as human sacrifices to green policies, legislative and corporate missteps, and administrative incompetence. The citizens of Hawaii, a solidly Democratic one-party state, are learning what those of
