We’ve recently written quite a bit about electric vehicles’ many flaws – the reasons to hate them, their evil nature, the entire EV con. But they’re not the only green plaything that’s being exposed for the debacle they are. Windmills are just as troubled. “All over the world, rural people are reacting with fury at the encroachment of large wind and solar projects on their homes and neighborhoods,” writes energy author Robert Bryce. Last month, “thousands of Druze residents in the Golan Heights,” says Bryce, “rioted to stop the installation of a large wind project on their traditional lands.” Before that,

They kill birds with impunity but the owners get a pass from the federal and state regulators, but if your I accidentally shot a Golden eagle - fine and/or prison time. But if Biden gets re-elected or another Dem, they'll be putting up wind and solar farms on every acre of federal land.

Wind turbines besmirch large areas of Wyoming. There is 520 cubic yards of concrete at the base of all these eyesores.

In the Palm Desert area of CA wind turbines cover the landscape. Yet people are urged to "voluntarily" conserve by turning off almost everything and keeping their homes at 78 degrees or higher. Thing is, voluntary can become mandatory so easily with these big energy companies who have the State behind them.

In my little corner of flyover country, there is a fenced storage yard containing about fifty huge windmill blades. They have been there for quite a while and I'm sensing some kind of holdup in installation. In a windmill farm some fifty miles away, at least half of the monstrosities are down for maintenance at any given time.

Wind and solar are a pipe dream at this point in time. They cost more than they produce and they don't last long enough to pay for themselves. We have ample coal and fuel and natural gas to produce electricity for the next 200 years, perhaps in that time a new source of energy will present itself. But right now the alternative solar panels and windmills just won't cut the mustard.

On a trip to Ohio, west of Lima near the border with Indiana, we were driving early one morning enjoying the flat expanse of cornfields when suddenly out of the mists reared a collection of these monstrosities. They reminded my wife of the Martian machines from the various film adaptations of H.G. Wells' "War of the Worlds" (albeit with three blades rather than tripod legs). There was even a rest area off the road where you could park and stare at them and listen to the eerie noise they made as the massive blades slowly cut through the air. What a waste of formerly useful farmland... greyseal

Those concrete reinforced windmill bases are going to be around for a long time. There ought to be laws that require escrow accounts paid for by the windmill companies to pay for the elimination of the bases. What will happen is that the scammers will declare bankruptcy and abandoned the defunct windmills to the landowners. Eventually the landowners will get the politicians to fund the removals with tax money.

"You know, if you let me write $200 billion worth of hot checks every year, I could give you an illusion of prosperity, too.” That was then-Democratic Sen. Lloyd Bentsen back in 1988 arguing that the Reagan boom was a myth because it was bought and paid for with deficit spending, then running about $200 billion a year. What would Bentsen say today about an economy that – instead of blasting ahead at more than 4% a year at it was in 1988 – is barely eking out gains and appears headed to a downturn … despite the fact that President Joe

Some months ago, California Gov. Gavin Newsom said he would be “all in” on a debate with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. DeSantis later accepted. Now some are wondering if Newsom’s offer was sincere because it looks as if he wants to avoid the verbal sparring. Which makes sense: Newsom probably knows he can’t take the heat. Newsom was fast-tracked for political stardom through his connections to San Francisco wealth and power. He was groomed and polished by the Gettys, the Pritzkers and the Fishers, not only in politics but in business, where he was set up not to fail.

Three California residents last week filed a lawsuit against Tesla for what they claim is false advertising over the car’s range. But why stop at Tesla? And why just sue over false claims about range when every other claim about EVs is also a lie? The lawsuit comes in the wake of a Reuters report contending that Tesla had been goosing the range displayed on its dashboard and created a “diversion team” to deal with all the customer complaints about faulty batteries. The filing claims that “Had Tesla honestly advertised its electric vehicle ranges, consumers either would not have purchased

Despite three criminal indictments, the threat of hundreds of years of prison-time and an unprecedented media assault on his character and reputation, former President Donald Trump has maintained his head-to-head lead in polls against President Joe Biden. How is that possible? A significant number of Americans simply don’t believe the charges are valid, the latest I&I/TIPP Poll shows. For this month’s online national poll, taken August 2-4 of 1,369 adults, we asked the following: “Former President Trump is facing more than 40 federal charges in connection with the Mar-a-Lago

"Trickle-down economics has never worked.” That’s what President Joe Biden says any time he’s talking about economic policy. Assuming our Octogenarian-in-Chief knows what he’s talking about, he’s guilty of what psychiatrists call projection. Because it’s Bidenomics that has failed everywhere it’s been tried. At home. Abroad. Throughout history. And right now in states across the U.S. Earlier this week in our What We’re Reading column, we linked to a multitude of stories that had been published detailing how Biden’s approach to economic policy — high taxes, heavy regulation, attacks on the rich and businesses,

As the Biden corruption probe broadens, and more evidence comes to the fore of possible bribery of the Biden family by foreign powers, a question arises: What do Americans think should be done if the allegations are true? The overwhelming response: Biden should leave or be removed from office and not run again, the latest I&I/TIPP Poll shows. In an earlier story we wondered: “If any of these charges are shown to be true, can Biden weather the ensuing political storm? Or will he face a choice of impeachment or resignation, a la Richard Nixon, and thereby force the Democrats to find a new standard bearer in 2024?”

The Biden administration has just spent two years negotiating with a group of foreign countries to raise taxes on U.S. companies operating overseas. Now we’re being told it’s been “delayed” for two more years. But why delay a bad decision? It’s an awful idea that should be rejected out of hand. “Americans have already been crushed by inflation caused by the Biden administration,” argued West Virginia congresswoman Carol Miller, in a recent op-ed. “But now, they want to add fuel to the fire by giving American taxes to foreign countries, raising costs for Americans, and sticking us with the bill for funding a global socialist agenda.” Her analysis is spot on.

After the FDA approves the human drug for sale, does it then have the authority to interfere with how that drug is used within the doctor-patient relationship? The answer is no," Jared Kelson, representing the doctors, told the appeals court.

That spending request seeks an extra $300 for Ukraine aid for every $1 it seeks for counter-drug programs.
