The president of the American Library Association, who began her tenure in July by declaring herself a 'Marxist lesbian' when she was elected, now faces staunch criticism by conservatives and states are cutting ties with her group.
In April 2022, following her election to her current post, Emily Drabinski, 48, tweeted (and has since deleted): 'I just cannot believe that a Marxist lesbian who believes that collective power is possible to build and can be wielded for a better world is the president-elect of @ALALibrary'
'I am so excited for what we will do together. Solidarity! And my mom is SO PROUD. I love you mom.'

I don't give a rodent's rectum what she and her friends do in private, but if she's that vocal about it, and her Marxism moreso, this is an agitator with an agenda that we can well do without. The states cutting ties with this arthole are more than justified.
Where's Marian Paroo when we need her?

I work in a small public library in a small town. I can tell you the ALA and the MLA are looooaddded with "progressive" little nasty marxists that peddle the most leftist ideas and notions. The only books they want to promote are books with BIPOC protagonists, queer or trans of course. Not in MY small town.

Nothing in the article mentioning her education that would bring her to become the president of the ALA. Unless I missed it.
While she may want to use her position to install her political and personal agenda's, that is not something most can do in private business. Most would be sued, and/or fired.
After all, someone would mention that person was creating a hostile work environment, or bring up sexual harassment lawsuit, right?

Worked in a school library for 20 years. Remember when they wanted us to remove "To Kill a Mockingbird" because it had that word in it. Baby, we have come a long way and not for the better. Funny how the progressives told everyone to stay out of their bedrooms and now they want books on the shelf giving kids step by step instructions in deviant behavior with illustrations. If you have no problem with that kind of a book for your child it is available. Perhaps your Public library or it can be purchased. It has no place in a public school. These books are not banned. They are available. I will always think that "To Kill a Mockingbird" has more worth than "Gender Queer" but that is my personnel choice. You might choose differently.

She may be a librarian but she is apparently unaware of the millions of deaths caused by Marxist ideologues.

What did Iowa Hawk say? "Target an institution. Kill it. Gut it. Then wear it as a skin suit, demanding respect."

First, public libraries answer to the taxpayers, not lesbians and Marxist. If taxpayers, through their elected officials, don't want their tax dollars to fund lesbian and Marxist books, that is democracy. Why do fascist demand democracy until democracy denies paying for their agenda?

The ALA has been a detriment to children for a LONG time. They are just feeling comfortable enough to now shout it from the roof-tops. I'm glad to hear there are still some states who say "No, thanks." Too bad it's not all of them.
