Gun sales do not seem to be affected by the Biden economy or the inflation that has come with it. July of this year marked 48 straight months of record gun sales. People are obviously concerned about crime, but one of the other things driving this is the constant threat of greater gun control from Democrats. People used to call Obama the world’s greatest gun salesman, but this trend has continued even with him out of office.

IIRC, over 125 million guns sold in the USA in the last ? years. I think it is 6 or 7 years. HUGE numbers of gun sales. And these numbers are based on the FBI instant background check numbers, which only relates to new sales via federal dealers. There are millions of used guns legally sold by private sales which are not reflected in these numbers. People have decided that they need to become more personally responsible for their safety. I have trained a number of them myself, many who had never owned a gun previously who decided to take personal charge of their safety by getting some training, developing shooting skills and being armed.

The police (and in my case sheriff) are generally good, brave people and will do what they can. Problem is, in my county there are at best two deputies on the road at any given time. Response times can be as much as 30 minutes. Thats too long. Its up to me to defend my family, and the sheriff can came and take the report.

Here are understated estimates: Fifty million new guns sold in past 48 months. Assume these sales included an average of 100 rounds of ammunition. That’s 5 billion rounds, according to my math, just for the new guns.

I have to get to the gun range within 30 minutes of opening or I'll sit and wait for a lane to become available. People are getting serious about self defense. What used to be mostly an inner city gang/gun/drug problem is moving to the suburbs.

In April, the Democratic Party announced it would no longer use its longtime lawyer Marc Elias, and now we know why. The Democrats got tired of losing, or as Axios put it, Elias’ approach often “backfired.” Elias himself does not tire of losing, and here’s why. His lawsuits — parading as a fight for “democracy” by tearing down voter ID, secure drop boxes, and signature matching — have nothing to do with our nation’s interests. Instead, as Elias’ allies admitted to Axios, his work is nothing more than “a political strategy that is actually a business strategy,”

With each new piece of shocking evidence that Joe Biden, as vice president, engaged with his son in a foreign bribery scheme, the national media react with something along the lines of, “But, ya know, in the end, Republicans haven’t yet proven anything in their Republican-y investigations.” Devon Archer, a former business partner of Biden’s son Hunter, testified Monday to Congress that Joe Biden had been included on calls between the two partners by speakerphone. That’s in contradiction to the president’s repeated claim that when it comes to Hunter’s unreal professional life, he’s Helen Keller in a burka. Those speakerphone calls happened at least 20 times, according to Archer’s testimony.

The editorial board of the Wall Street Journal is arguing that the indictment of former President Trump sets a dangerous precedent for candidates’ ability to contest election results in the years to come. While the conservative editorial board called Trump’s actions and rhetoric after the 2020 election “deceitful and destructive,” it questioned whether the conduct amounted to criminal behavior. “There is no evidence tying Mr. Trump to the Oath Keepers or Proud Boys who planned to, and did, breach the U.S. Capitol that day. That was the worst offense against democracy, and more than 1,000 people have been prosecuted in connection with it,” the editorial board wrote.

Trump was indicted out of Special Counsel Jack Smith’s investigation related to 2020 election interference and the Jan. 6, 2021 Capitol riot, and is facing charges such as conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding. "The most jarring thing about this indictment is it basically just accuses him of disinformation — this is a disinformation indictment," said legal scholar Jonathan Turley, a professor of public interest law at George Washington University and a Fox News contributor.

Donald Trump is facing two indictments, with the potential for more. Political wisdom may have once suggested the former president’s bid for a second White House term would be nothing but a pipe dream. But most of us know better by now. Trump is not only in a historically strong position for a nonincumbent to win the Republican nomination, but he is in a better position to win the general election than at any point during the 2020 cycle and almost at any point during the 2016 cycle. No one in Trump’s current polling position has lost an open presidential primary (i.e., one without an incumbent) in the modern era.
