From reading pro- and con-Barbie movie reviews, I’ve learned that Barbie Land is great to look at, the movie is a woke celebration or nightmare, depending on your viewpoint, and men are the last bastion of true femininity, and fairy tales have reverted to their ancient place as adult entertainment,
Having grown up playing with Barbies, I watched some of the promos for the movie. Visually, they were great. Barbie Land’s buildings, interior design, beaches, and bright clothes really did look like Barbie’s world brought to life. Closer viewing revealed that these Barbies were irritatingly shrill (my Barbies never were) and the Kens vapid.
Even worse, it became increasingly clear

I was born in the 50's when Barbie was unleashed on America's little girls. I never had a Barbie. My mother honestly told us that Barbie was too expensive and we could not afford Barbie dolls. I had 4 sisters. Somehow I didn't care and never really wanted one. One of my friends had a Barbie and we would play dolls but we actually spent most of our time running around outside enjoying the great outdoors. I don't feel as if I missed anything and being in on the beginning of Barbie was quite different than when Barbie was out and about having different jobs, and a house, and a convertible and all the other paraphernalia ($) that she could acquire. I remember the blonde ponytailed, heavy blue eye makeup, black and white stripped bathing suit Barbie. The characters in this movie appear to be too old. When I think of Barbie I think of someone in their early 20's. These guys look old. This movie reminds me of the Flintstone Movie several years ago. Seemed like a cute good idea but actually it sucked. No emotional attachment to Barbie and her comings and goings. I'll do other things with my time and money. But then again I don't think I am their target audience. Too old and I still care about my country and think that turning everything into a "woke show" is just so much BS.

A shopper looking for a Barbie doll: "'Does Barbie come with Ken?' he asked the perky saleswoman. 'Actually no,' she answered slyly. 'Barbie comes with G.I. Joe—she fakes it with Ken.'"

That’s too bad. I loved my Barbies when I was a kid and I love playing Barbie’s with my granddaughters. I fully intended to see this movie with them, but not now.
Want to hear something even more horrific? The director of this movie is set to direct the Chronicles of Narnia for Netflix. I have no words.

My older sister got the second year Barbie. I got Midge. She had moved on by the time the double closet carrier came along and I benefited from all the accumulated clothes, shoes and accessories. My friends and I had a great time playing Barbie. Only one gal had a Ken, and we all thought he was a dufus. He never got out of the closet! All my Barbie stuff was left behind at my mother's house when I moved out, and played with by my nieces. One day the youngest of them took my Midge home with her. When my Dad sold the house back in the mid-90's, I rescued the Barbie. Her hairstyle was a bit worse for wear, and there was a lot missing in the closet carrier. I found a "Barbie" store, and the gal swapped me an outfit to redo my doll's hair and face. I have her in the picnic outfit; complete with hat, sandles and wicker basket, in my eclectic doll case.
It is a tall Japanese doll in the traditional glass case, sent to me by my brother-in-law from the military catalogue when he was serving in Southeast Asia (1968-69). Over the years I've added gifted dolls including a French proceline harlequin, a Polish peasant, and Scarlett O'Hara! I keep meaning to get different cases for them, but its just never happened. They all seem happy together!

My younger sister loved all things Barbie. Not me. I was one to either go outside and play or read a book. Every time I see an ad for the movie it just reminds me that Hollywood is a thing of the past.

The left has two goals: Normalize perversion and indoctrinate the young. Irritating their opponents is a bonus. To them Barbie, the various adventure series like Indiana Jones or Starwars, or the Marcel and DC movies are ideal. They tend to follow celebrities, so they believe they can inject their poisonous beliefs by perverting what we have, in the past, admired. They can't comprehend, except dimly, that we follow someone because of their goals and beliefs, not because they are flashy, powerful, or publicly popular. After a while the glitz becomes dross, the exciting becomes repetitive and the powerful are viewed as tyrannical.
They can't comprehend they are digging their own Graves.

The only "nostalgia" I remember is thousands of little girls crying for an overpriced set of plastic dolls complete with house and pink Corvette that their parents could not afford and bought Raggedy Anns instead.

The Barbie movie was never going to be about playing with a Barbie doll and the endless outfits that one could buy. It was all make believe when my sisters played with their dolls. So perhaps this Barbie movie with all of its transgender, feminist BS is make believe. In the real world, no one is going to want or believe this crap. Perhaps that's why all across this country the Barbie movie and the Oppenheimer movie are being combined. Pay for one, and one gets to see both movies. It might be the only way the studio can make its money back once the word gets out about how awful the Barbie movie really is.

The article references MOVIE GUIDE and it is available as an app.
I use it because it is a good point of reference to avoid propaganda and ggive s a thorough account of what is in a movie and the promoted 'world view' of it.
Check it out--

I’m being forced to go see this trash with the grandkids. I’m totally against it, for me and for them. I’m going to have to take a stand, and probably go down in flames.
I’m pretty sure I’ll want to beat the crap or worse out of Ken halfway through, and say it out loud.

All in all, Barbie is just a doll. Nothing more. To give this little plastic thing the attributes of a human is the same as heathen idolaters bowing down to a piece of wood, stone, or metal; declaring it to be a god.
