NEW YORK -- There are new developments in New York City's struggle to house recently arrived asylum seekers.
Mayor Eric Adams said Wednesday the city has been carrying the weight of the nation's crisis and now there is no longer space for new people coming in, citing the absence of state or federal aid.
He said he has put a plan in place that will begin in the next couple of days to help move current migrants out of shelters to make space for families arriving with children. With an average of 300 to 500 people still arriving daily, the mayor said the city will begin providing 60-day

NY has been carrying the burden?! What about Texas and other border states? Typical eastern liberal - the world revolves around New York. Just ask them.

Most important, Adams deserves strongest criticism for his ruinous policies...... and then there is his resemblance to George "Kingfish" Stevens, to add ridicule to the mix.

All above posters are correct. If he were a conservative, the left would pummel him with words like: racist! bigot! heartless, enemy to humanity! etc.

Just ship them upstate to all the red counties. That was the plan all along. They are probably all registered to vote already.

As long as you are handing out free room, board, clothing, health care, etc... they will keep coming. Maybe they just want to read that poem tacked onto the Statue of Liberty (long after it was built) about the huddled masses.

Well, Mayor Adams, the southern part of Texas ran out of room for all these illegal alien invaders years ago, but your beloved Senile Joe bidet has kept letting them pour across the border for the last 2+ years. They have to go somewhere, and your wonderful sanctuary city of NYC is perfect!!!
Excuse me while we go load up the busses!!!

Maybe he should have thought about that sanctuary city thing a while longer. The more pigeons you feed the faster the bag goes empty.

Neither has Texas any more money to pay for all the illegals, Adams. Give Mayorkas and the vegetable in the WH a call.

Adams or any other mayor has no legal authority to interfere with illegal aliens (migrants) who Biden and the leftist Democrats have allowed to unlawfully enter the USA to await asylum hearings in the immigration courts sometime, many years in the future if at all, as immigration is within the authority of the federal government that is supposed to administer and enforce the immigration laws passed by Congress.
What Adam’s and other leftist Democrat mayors are are really up is to get Biden and the Congressional Democrats to send them billions of federal dollars to ostensively defray all the social costs of housing and feeding those illegal aliens indefinitely, and you can bet so that a portion of that money can be skimmed off and doled out to leftist Democrat activist groups.

Recently arrived asylum seekers? You mean ILLEGAL ALIENS, CBS? Adams is just another incompetent elected by the foolish voters of NYC. No more room? Like Martha’s Vineyard?

Gee, I don't see the cities of Del Rio and Eagle Pass, Texas (about 30-40,000 each) whining and moaning about the thousands of illegal border crossers they have to deal with daily. But Mayor Adams gripes and *itches about a bus or two that shows up a couple times a week.
Cry me a stinkin' river, Mayor. I don't care. I do care about the good people on the Texas border and I actually do care about the safety of those folks coming across the border because they have fallen prey to the two-legged coyotes, cartels, unbearable heat, and raging rivers they have chosen to deal with. That human cost is much greater than any inconvenience a busload or two of people cause you in NYC.
Maybe you should encourage your pal Sleepy Creepy Crooked President Uncle Joe to close the border so that you aren't bothered by the riff-raff coming from the border.

We need to make all of the blue metropolis's "refugee" centers. In NYC Central park could be a huge refugee camp. Why not put them up in Yankee stadium or Flushing Meadows?
