Never Back Down, a super PAC supporting Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, is about to spend over a million dollars on an ad featuring an artificial intelligence deep fake of former President Donald Trump speaking.
The DeSantis campaign has already come under fire for using a deceptive ai-generated image of Trump embracing Anthony Fauci in another ad.
According to a report from Politico, the ad “charges Trump with attacking Iowa governor Kim Reynolds as part of a larger pattern of disrespect he has shown to the first caucus state.”

Okay. Using this kind of advertising, especially in a political context, is a BIG red "NO" against the candidate who is doing it in my book. Previously, I saw DeSantis in a positive light.
Not only does is make me question his morals, it makes me question his (natural) intelligence.

I'm with #1.
This is a HUGE NO-NO!
Who does DeSantis think he is, anyway? A Leftist Democrat?
I have viewed him as one of the good guys, but assuming this is true, this puts him firmly on my 'Feces' List!

Bad move. Although these PAC supposedly operate outside the control of the candidate, DeSantis must tell those running it to knock off the fakery. There are numerous ways to criticize Trump without using A-I.

Anyone who believes DeSantis and/or his very media savvy wife didn’t know about and approve this ad is naive or pulling wool over their own eyes because they are so besotted with him that they are no longer thinking rationally.

Has DeSantis denied he appoved of this ad, said he disapproves of this ad, requested that his PAC pull the ad and apologized to President Trump? ………. (crickets)

What goes around comes around! What little integrity there is in elections will be forever erased if this and subsequent ads using the same technology is allowed. A shame it began with a Republican.

#9 - Are we sure it started here? Take a look at some of the various FJB videos/edits and tell me there isn't some deep-fakery going on.

Just remember who is helping DeSantis with his campaign. It it helpful to me to realize that as ''clean and pure as the wind driven snow'' that Ron DeS appears to be, he of his free will and own knowledge and believe CHOSE the dark side. It was his choice alone. I miss Rush more during the Silly Season, i.e., campaign time.

Somebody been bought or several somebodies have been BOUGHT !!
If DeSantis doesn't deny or cancel this, he may as well just go home.
This is the ONE thing that Trump has that none of the other potential candidates have.
Money. His OWN money and he is willing to spend it. He cannot be threatened and made
to 'toe the line' or 'spout the PARTY position' on ANYTHING else under the threat of losing party
backing and more importantly 'PARTY FUNDING' d - this is what galls the opposition !
Like other posters here, Rod DeSantis, is regretfully dropping, IMHO.
