Sound of Freedom is once again shocking the box office with expectations of reaching nearly $23 million in its second weekend in theaters.
The film grossed more than $7 million on Friday, putting it on pace to finish the weekend with $81 million and to break $100 million in gross receipts, according to box office reports. Sound of Freedom continues to beat Sony Pictures Insidious: The Red Door overall, in addition to besting Disney’s latest Indiana Jones film on a daily basis for nearly a week. The movie, which is distributed by Angel Studios, details

The headline could be clearer. It's 81 million (or more) to date. It could reach 100 million in the next week or two if the attendance surge remains strong (rare, but maybe not here.)
The movie was #2. The Indy flop was #4. Its production cost was rumored to be $14 million (its cost to get it from Disney is publicly unknown.) Its profit will be astronomical. It's been suggested it could reach revenues approaching $150 million. It's a sure bet the Oscar quality supporting actors will receive zero recognition during awards season. The thing is a hit with Spanish speaking audiences and press.

I think the top figure will be met. Churches are using the great pew-packing technique of the Second Great Reviva of the 1810's. Since I only read MSM guardedly, meaning this website only, I do a bit of hit-and-run on headlines. Angel films is more interested in getting the message out than in garnering box office receipts.

I think the success of this film is due to two things. First, it is a good film that deals with a serious here and now topic - child human trafficking. (Our open borders facilitate this problem).
Secondly, all the customers who liked going to the movies, but stopped going due to Hollywood's cranking out of sub par movies, now have a chance to send the left coast a message about their products. The more the left criticizes this movie, the more people attend.

Take that, Hollywood. May your strike last forever while less woke groups continue to produce good movies and TV series. Maybe some day, the success of “Sound of Freedom” will open y’all’s eyes to what Americans really want.
The Brits do their programming (movies and TV series) far, far better without the woke, the profanity, the gay sex, and the nudity. Every time I try to stream an American-made production, I have to turn it off not long into it. So I head back to Britbox, Masterpiece, PBS, etc. Shows like Grantchester, Line of Duty, and other great British series have a far, far better product.

This movie exposes the evil of human trafficking -- of innocent children, no less -- and yet it seems the left and their media don't like it. Why??? Because it sheds light on an inevitable aspect of illegal immigration? Or could it be that the left -- which supports abortion -- simply doesn't care about "the children"?

Those who defend destroying the innocence of children through trafficking, pedophilia, and drag queens grooming children to accept the trans lifestyle should be exposed and opposed for their corruption— We are all God’s children and as the movie emphatically proclaims… God’s Children are NOT for sale!

The left doesn't care about " the children" or anyone actually except themselves. IMO many of our "betters" are personally involved in using these kids for their various predilections. Epstein wasn’t the only game in town, for sure. Many of our elites are much more vile than we credit them for being.

I've been a huge Superman fan ever since as a kid I saw the late great Christopher Reeve fly in 1978. Therefore, when Man of Steel came out decades later, I saw it twice. I will do the same for Sound of Freedom as to me it was that profound. As an added bonus it's making the pro-groomer trans apologists in Hollywood the fake news media and other leftist democrat enclaves get their panties in a knot over how successful the movie's been. On that joyous note alone, I might break the bank and see it three times.
