Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley said she would gut federal law enforcement agencies and remove problematic officials who politicize and weaponize those agencies if elected to the White House. Haley, a former governor of South Carolina and U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, made the remarks on Friday during The Family Leadership Summit in Iowa with Tucker Carlson. Carlson grilled the candidates that went before her, including Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC), former Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson, and former Vice President Mike Pence.

The Federal agencies need to be strengthened with honest law enforcement. by people who do not use their personal political views to punish those who do not share their views. There should be no partisan objectives to the enforcement of the law. Many in the Federal agencies need to be investigated and the guilty removed. Without pensions.

Oh, where to begin? Some agencies are efficient and successful so you leave them alone but I doubt if we have any of those at the moment. Some agencies are useless and you eliminate them, to the last government drone behind the smallest desk. Energy, Agriculture, Education, Homeland Insecurity, all of them. Law enforcement is either honest and tough on criminals or they are as dishonest as the criminals themselves so the entire seventh floor of the Hoover Building should be escorted down to the sidewalk. Intelligence agencies can never be trusted no matter what so Oversight must be strict and intrusive. Security practices must never be structured to hide or withhold information. Strict boundaries must be enforced. The people at the top can easily go astray under the elixir of power and secrecy. Defense is FUBAR so every officer O7 and above needs to go because that's where Obama performed his ongoing purge of good people and replaced them with pusillanimous morons more concerned with feelings instead of killing enemies and breaking things. I don't believe Haley can do it.

Needless to say every Republican running should be promising to shake up the federal bureaucracy. They need to go deeper than was revealed in this interview. Generally the heads of the departments are replaced, leaving intact the underlings that in DC are most likely to be left-wing Democrats. Those running should figure out how to remove as many as the civil service rules make possible. It should be clear that in any administration the departments support themselves and do not work for the American people.

She is an anti-Trump RINO, not trustworthy. Trump brought her from obscurity to fame as United Nations ambassador. She rewarded him by a back-stab on some issue after leaving the UN. Then she later met with Trump to ask forgiveness. I don't think we want this person to win the Republican nomination, do you?

The best answer would be to shut them down and forbid the employees from ever working in law enforcement again. Replace the agencies with nothing. They have done more damage to our country and our freedom than the KGB ever could have. Nikki talks a good game, but I doubt she would ever follow through. They would Trump her and she cant take the pressure.

Biden’s corrupt Justice Department is seeking a December 11 trial date in Jack Smith’s classified documents case. This is brazen election interference. If Judge Aileen grants the DOJ’s request, the trial date will begin just weeks before the Iowa Republican presidential caucuses. The Iowa Caucuses are starting earlier this election cycle and will take place on January 15, 2024. Judge Cannon set the trial date for August 14 but Trump’s lawyers asked to indefinitely postpone the trial. Justice Department lawyers on Thursday filed a motion pushing back on Trump’s legal team and asked the Judge to proceed with jury selection on December 11, 2023.

But Republicans are starting to fight back. Kash Patel, who served as chief of staff to the acting secretary of defense under President Trump and as the senior counsel for the House Intelligence Committee under then-Rep. It’s his first visit since Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022. Yoon toured Bucha and Irpin, two small cities near Kyiv where bodies of civilians were found in the streets and mass graves after Russian troops retreated from the capital region last year.

The supporters of former President Trump are absolutely correct about one thing. If every single Republican pledged their allegiance to him and fell in line he’d win the nomination easily. But he’d also lose the general election, again. He does not receive enough support from outside the traditional Republican and MAGA base to win in 2024. Hillary Clinton beat Trump by roughly 3 million in the popular vote in 2016. While Trump indeed did win the election by taking the required 270 electoral votes, just a few thousand votes in each of the key swing states would have changed that outcome into a Hillary Clinton landslide victory in 2016.

US District Court Judge Karin Immergut ruled that Ballot Measure 114’s restrictions on large-capacity magazines that hold more than 10 rounds are constitutional because these magazines are “not commonly used for self-defense, and are therefore not protected by the Second Amendment.” “Even if LCMs are protected by the Second Amendment, BM 114’s restrictions are consistent with this Nation’s history and tradition of regulating uniquely dangerous features of weapons and firearms to protect public safety,” the ruling said.
