The 4 Big Lies (And 1 Terrible Truth)
In Biden’s ‘Bidenomics Is Working’ Speech

“I’m happy to call it ‘Bidenomics.’ And guess what? Bidenomics is working.” In a 30-minute speech in Chicago this week, President Joe Biden declared that his economic policies — which can charitably be summed up as “borrow and spend, tax and regulate” — are doing wonders for the nation’s economy. Never mind that just 38% of Americans approve of the job Biden has been doing on the economy. No. The only risk we face, Biden argued, was a return of that bogeyman known as “trickle-down economics.”

Before Biden and his sidekick Yellen got their hands on the economy, the homeless could afford homes and rent was a reasonable alternative. When you are paid millions of dollars by China and don't pay your taxes, the little people don't matter.

Solid article. Funny how Biden uses the $1.7 trillion figure repeatedly but sometimes he says he reduced the deficit by that amount and at other times he says he reduced the debt by 1.7. Does Joe even understand the difference? Did the pre-decline Joe ever know the difference? Do his speech writers know?

He sure was juiced up to deliver this farcical speech. Ditto his comments about the USSC on race-based admissions. Who is on his medical team, and what in the heck are they pumping into him to facilitate and time these public displays??

#3, exactly my thoughts. He was pumped with the best drugs money can buy to make it thru a 30-minute teleprompter reading. And clearly no grasp of economics, and betting on the fact that the majority of the country is ignorant/uninformed/uninterested. Oy vey!

Biden referred to "trickle down economics", a straw man of the left that does not exist. "As economist Thomas Sowell noted in his book Basic Economics, “’Trickle down’ has been a characterization and rejection of what somebody else supposedly believed.” But “no recognized economist of any school of thought has ever had any such theory or made any such proposal. It is a straw man. It cannot be found in even the most voluminous and learned histories of economic theories.” https://www.nccivitas.org/2014/myth-trickle-economics/ Fair to say, I think, that Thomas Sowell knows far more about economics than Joe Biden...or anyone who buys the leftist hogwash.

Every time Biden says “Guess what?” or “No joke” he’s lying. It’s one of his “tells”.

"The meaning of peace,” Karl Marx said, “is the absence of opposition to socialism.” To the Soviets, peace was the state in which resistance to their territorial and philosophical ambitions was not only futile, it was fatal. If Democrats were as straightforward as their philosophical consigliere, they would define democracy, which they refer to in worshipful tones, as the absence of any challenge to their political power. Given how that party has continually revealed its authoritarian core, there can be no other explanation. We’ve argued before that the Democrats don’t want to govern under constitutional limits but instead rule without constraint,

An Axios story over the weekend carried the headline: “Biden’s 2024 vision: Play 2020 again.” If true, that means Joe Biden will be running against himself, because the attacks he lodged against then-President Donald Trump four years ago – on the economy, on COVID, on disunity, on corruption – all look worse today. Before COVID, for example, Biden was attacking the economy, arguing that, despite the 40-year low unemployment rate in late 2019, things were worse than ever. In a speech Biden gave in Scranton, Pa., in October of that year, he talked about an interview he’d done with “60 Minutes,”

It’s hard to notice amid the hullabaloo over The Donald’s and Hunter’s legal challenges. But lookit who’s vying for the coveted “Christian Conservative lane” in the GOP presidential sweepstakes – along with the close-akin anti-woke capital corridor. “I’m a Christian, a conservative, and a Republican — in that order,” erstwhile Trump veep Mike Pence trumpeted in launching his candidacy in … hmmmm … Iowa a couple of weeks back. Ya don’t say. Sure could’ve fooled the “Christians-and-conservatives-in-that-order” of your somewhat-slighted Hoosier State.

To listen to the climate alarmists, the casual observer would be convinced that the incineration of Earth due to combustion that produces carbon dioxide is imminent. As in next year … or maybe next week. Here’s Rep. Rashida Tlaib, Democrat from Michigan: “We have to be much more aggressive

Once upon a time, Democratic presidents understood how important a healthy economy was. President Bill Clinton and his advisers won two elections living by the mantra, “It’s the economy, stupid.” Get that right, they thought, and everything else follows. But today, Americans think President Joe Biden doesn’t get it, June’s I&I/TIPP Poll shows. The online I&I/TIPP Poll, taken from May 31-June 2 and including responses from 1,358 adults nationwide, asked the following: “To what extent do you agree or disagree with the following statement: The American economy remains strong, as it transitions to steady and stable growth.”

It was clear from the beginning that charges of “collusion” between Donald Trump and Russia during the 2016 election were phony — a cheap, and illegal, political trick. But they did their damage. While Trump beat Hillary Clinton, there has since been a non-stop Democratic Party-led campaign to tar him as a “traitor” or worse. And, as the recent testimony of Special Counsel John Durham to Congress shows, Clinton lay behind this scheme to defraud American voters and throw an election. So, today, despite powerful evidence of official wrongdoing, we’re back where we were some seven years ago.

Watching President Joe Biden try to make his way through a speech is painful enough. Reading a transcript of it is worse. Not just because Biden’s words are even more confusing in print, but because you start to feel a strong sense of pity for the person responsible for figuring out what he is trying to say, how much of it to transcribe verbatim, and which facts to correct. We looked through Biden’s remarks from just this month and found 15 instances where the transcriber felt compelled to make corrections on things the president said. Here’s an example from one 11-minute speech he gave over the weekend in Palo Alto.

Summer arrives in the Northern Hemisphere on Wednesday and it’s likely to be a cruel one in the countries where policymakers are forcing a green energy transition. Enlightened, these people are not. There’s a lot of truth to the old joke that goes: “What did socialists use before candles? Electricity.” The green energy “revolution” is taking us backward, to an era in which there won’t be enough electricity to meet the demand. Members of the House Subcommittee on Energy, Climate, and Grid Security were told last week to expect “potentially catastrophic consequences” due to dispatchable

Companies, schools, amusement parks and even professional sports teams that have gone “woke” and adopted “diversity, equity and inclusion” measures are alienating many customers, leading to a drop in business, reports indicate. The latest I&I/TIPP Poll shows why: A strong plurality of Americans oppose such social activism rather than support it. Some of the best advice ever given was from Mark Twain, who said “it’s better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than open it and remove all doubt.” We’re not saying Joe Biden is stupid, but his comment about “plans to build a railroad from the Pacific all the way across the Indian Ocean,” removes all doubt that he is all there. Speaking Wednesday evening before the League of Conservation Voters’ annual dinner, Biden waxed ineloquently: “We’re talking about building — and I had my team putting together with other countries as well — to build a railroad from the Pacific Ocean

In an email obtained by Fox News Digital, the student board began by lambasting the Supreme Court's decision in the Students for Fair Admissions case, which declared race-based affirmative action in college admissions is unconstitutional.

Sec. State Blinken ordered this review of the department’s response to the Afghanistan withdrawal. The result is critical of both President Trump and President Biden saying they failed to plan appropriately for the withdrawal. The report is sharply critical of the U.S. government’s handling of the most serious evacuation crisis since the fall of Saigon. It says President Biden and his predecessor, Donald Trump, each failed to appreciate how a U.S. military pullout would affect the Afghan government’s stability, and that standard summer diplomatic rotations in the weeks ahead of Kabul’s collapse left the U.S. evacuation in the hands of personnel who in some cases had been in the country
