NEW YORK — A prominent group that represents LGBT conservatives says a video shared by Ron DeSantis ′ presidential campaign that slams rival Donald Trump for his past support of gay and transgender people “ventured into homophobic territory.”
The “DeSantis War Room” Twitter account shared the video on Friday — the last day of June’s LGBTQ+ Pride Month — that features footage of Trump at the Republican National Convention in 2016 saying he would “do everything in my power to protect our LGBTQ citizens.” Trump had been pledging protection from terrorist attacks weeks after the shootings at the Pulse Nightclub, a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida,

U.S. Attorney David Weiss has caused plenty of confusion when it comes to whether or not he has had full authority to charge Hunter Biden. House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) had recently sent him a letter demanding clarification about a letter Weiss had sent to the Committee indicating he had full authority, in response to a letter that Jordan had sent to Attorney General Merrick Garland. Jordan had given Weiss a deadline of July 6. Almost a full week before the deadline, though, Weiss sent a letter to Jordan on Friday night. It's not only a "Friday night news dump," it's one before the holiday weekend.

Slipped out under the radar ahead of a long Fourth of July weekend on a Friday night, the State Department's report on the U.S. pullout on Afghanistan in 2021 is out, and it's a beaut.
According to CBS:
Washington — The State Department released on Friday an unclassified version of its Afghanistan "After Action Review" report, which faulted both the Trump and Biden administrations for "insufficient" planning and said a lack of clear communication and decision-making "added significantly" to the challenges U.S. personnel faced during the frenzied, and ultimately deadly, military withdrawal and evacuation from Kabul in 2021.

Thomas wrote a nearly 60-page concurrence to express his horror at institutionalized racial discrimination in 21st-century America. The Supreme Court’s Thursday decision in Students for Fair Admissions v. President and Fellows of Harvard College dealt an overdue blow to race-based college admissions, and some of the best punches were thrown by Justice Clarence Thomas in his concurrence.
The court ruled that so-called “affirmative action” at Harvard and the University of North Carolina were in violation of the 14th Amendment and its application via the Civil Rights Act. Policies that discriminate based on race without demonstrating a compelling public interest,

Does anyone doubt that The New York Times not only is virulently anti-Trump (in the manner of a William Barr or a Paul Ryan), but is committed to effacing embarrassing references to Democrats convicted of deplorable criminal conduct? The following should remove all doubts that the Times is in the tank for the Democrat.
Here are the lede paragraphs from a June 29 AP story by Mike Catalini on the sentence given a New Jersey politico for arranging the murder of "a colleague."

When I was ten years old, I got a trial with a Little League team, but I was cut by the coach just before the season started in favor of his 9-year-old son. The son wasn't nearly as good at baseball as I was, but I understood the situation and accepted it without much fanfare. I figured at age 11, I'd have no problem making the Little League, and I'd be on some team for two years.
Much to my chagrin, at age 11, I wasn't even considered for a team and went straight to what was called the farm team. This irked me.

Christians must be ready with an unwavering answer when a lost world asks something of us we know we cannot do — no matter how big or small — and then be prepared to carry that cross.303 Creative has finally been decided, and Christians — and all Americans — won. In a 6-3 landmark decision on Friday, the Supreme Court ruled that graphic designer Lorie Smith can’t be compelled to affirm values that conflict with her deeply held religious beliefs about marriage by designing wedding websites for same-sex couples.

A coda to Kyle Rittenhouse’s ordeal recently occurred: conviction of one of his aggressors, armed rioter (now armed robber/kidnapper) Joshua Ziminski, on unrelated felony charges. Rittenhouse, George Zimmerman, and NYC subway Samaritans Daniel Penny and Jordan Williams are frontline warriors battling to preserve civilization. Rittenhouse's legal ordeal continues. He faces litigation from Gaige Grosskreutz (wounded after pointing a gun at Rittenhouse) and a wrongful death action from Anthony Huber’s estate, shot by Rittenhouse after Huber bashed him with a skateboard. Grosskreutz's complaint, more diatribe than lawsuit, features the word “White” 20 times, two more times than in the Huber suit.

Donna Fiducia and Don Neuen co-host Cowboy Logic on Real America’s Voice on Saturday night. The two conservatives have used their platform to assist the hundreds of January 6 political prisoners over the past two years.
This weekend Don and Donna released evidence that the Biden DOJ edited footage from January 6 in order to convict innocent January 6 protesters and Oath Keepers members.
This is a very serious charge and Don and Donna provided all of the evidence on their show.
This segment will air tonight on Cowboy Logic on RAV TV. They also have a Cowboy Logic Facebook page.

Project Veritas on Friday released an undercover video revealing Joe Biden’s unannounced “Plan B” to work around the Supreme Court’s ruling on his student loan bailout program.
The US Supreme Court on Friday crushed Joe Biden’s student loan bailout program.
Joe Biden unilaterally announced a massive forgiveness of student loans last August to buy the Gen Z-Millennial vote in the 2022 midterms.
Biden canceled over $400 billion in student loans which turned out to be up to $10,000 in student debt for borrowers who earn $125,000 a year or less and up to $20,000 for recipients of Pell Grants.

In the decades during which I have followed politics and social issues, I have seen passionate disagreements among Americans. The Vietnam War was the focus of massive protests. Legalized abortion, after Roe v. Wade, was followed by bombings. Racial integration was accompanied by murders by racist militants. Unenforced laws, including immigration and retail theft, have left us feeling betrayed by our government. The list goes on. Somehow, we survived.
Then came the transsexual movement, complete with "drag-queen story hours" for young children. Some of those children have become the victims of surgical mutilation.

For some, one of the more notable attributes associated with the idea of there being a God is the binary choice He is said to have offered mankind: be His friend, and you'll be blessed by Him for eternity; choose otherwise, and you'll be left with an eternity that, at best, will be damned regrettable...to say the least.
Through the ages, many have wrestled with the rightness or wrongness of this concept, including the scientist and mathematician Blaise Pascal. It was he who put the real issue on the table with what has come to be known as Pascal's Wager:
