One of Lia Thomas' former teammates at the University of Pennsylvania has slammed her alma mater for 'shutting down' any criticism of the pre-op 6-foot-1 biological male's presence on the school's female swimming team. In a new interview with the Daily Wire's Matt Walsh, Paula Scanlan accused the university of wanting student athletes to 'be quiet' and said 'they did it in a very effective way'. 'They continued to tell us that our opinions were wrong and if we had an issue about it, we were the problem and it's frightening and your future job is on the line,' Scanlan said in her interview.

“Pre-op,” is that some new term to form an apologia for trans-women like this guy who want the wins but haven’t yet shed their equipment? Pre-op for the “op,” that’s never gonna happen.

Yeah, but for all of their noble philosophy, these women knuckled under to save their scholarships so in essence the University bought them off; if they were truly the principled people they hold themselves out to be, they would have said "Buh bye, University of Pennsylvania."

Pre-op? Will Thomas, a male heterosexual, is still attracted to women and has kept all of his equipment. I refuse to call him "Lia." He's a cheater who ought to have his one piece women's swimsuit soaked in pure capsicum before his next women's competition. Let him burn. He won't make it to the pool. Look for the smoke.

So...are they REQUIRED to change in front of the Trans-man? Are they doing something wrong by trying to have so privacy from the obviously intact male? What next? First we all have to accept. Then we were told to show tolerance of those who are different. When that happens and it's still not good enough. The next requirement is that you must become an advocate and cheerleader for the cause. This whole thing is insane.

I watched the full interview last night and told my teenage daughter to watch it. I will not criticize this young woman for how she handled the situation. There but for the grace of God go I. As crazy as we all find the world we live in, it is what it is and we need to encourage and praise young women like Paula who are speaking out. FWIW, the interview also delves into issues of free speech and I found her to be clear and true. We need more young women and young men like her if we are to right this ship and to do that, we must be supportive of those who speak out.
