Colorado has a teachers’ union problem. From embracing gender ideology amid drag show field trips to enshrining anti-white initiatives in collective bargaining agreements, Colorado teachers’ unions have repeatedly shown their penchant for left-wing politics at the expense of students and communities.This April, the Colorado Education Association (CEA) passed a resolution condemning capitalism, citing its fundamental “exploitation of children, public schools, land, labor, and/or resources.” Due to seemingly endless resources from their national organizations, teachers’ unions often go unchecked in school districts, especially in deep blue states.

The Pentagon revealed on Tuesday that an overestimation in the value of weapons sent to Ukraine over the past two years has resulted in an extra $6.2 billion of U.S. taxpayers’ money earmarked for the Eastern European country. This figure is approximately double what was originally estimated and allegedly will be utilized for future security packages.
Pentagon spokesperson Sabrina Singh provided clarification on the nature of the error, explaining that the military services had used the replacement cost rather than the book value of equipment pulled from Pentagon stocks and sent to Ukraine.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott vetoed more than 75 bills before Sunday night’s deadline, mostly sponsored by conservative Texas state senators. Never before in the 178-year history of Texas has its governor vetoed so many bills passed by his own party.
Texas Republicans would override most of these vetoes if they could, but the legislature was required by the state constitution to adjourn in May until 2025. Tens of thousands of hours of work that went into all these bills were washed away by Abbott’s retaliatory strike against conservatives.
One of the bills that Gov. Abbott vetoed was SB 335, authored by conservative state Sen. Dr. Charles Schwertner (R-Georgetown).

All this is happening during the most controversial Pride Month in years. Why the controversy? Pride is departing from its original, noble goal of combatting discrimination against gay and lesbian people.

"If you care about living a prosperous life, you should care about what government economic policies are," says The Heritage Foundation's Derrick Morgan.
The foundation ranks countries' economic freedom based on things like rule of law, regulatory efficiency, open markets, fiscal health, etc.
The big reason the USA fell in the rankings is that Congress spends so much more money than government can squeeze out of us in taxes.

Intriguingly, Naomi Wolf has been alternately praised and scorned by both the Right and the Left. She was a darling of the Left as a third-wave feminist, and now that same cadre condemns her roundly for her questioning of the mRNA narrative; she was criticized sharply by conservatives for her feminism, but now is welcomed with open arms for her open-eyed revolt against globalist initiatives to enslave us all.

A recent Wall Street Journal lead story reported that "Republicans and big business broke up." The amount of corporate donations to Republicans was cut sharply in the last election cycle to a lower amount than in nearly a decade. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has backed many Democrats running for Congress in close and competitive races, which puts the GOP slim majority in jeopardy.

It is impossible for me to read reports of the Biden administration negotiating a deal to placate Iran’s Islamist regime today, without bringing me back to my cell in Iran’s notorious Evin prison in 2009. What the Biden administration is doing is misguided and dangerous. It will not bring peace or change the nature of the Islamic regime and its goals. Eastman is expected to spend the day testifying before the State Bar of California in a proceeding that could result in him losing his license to practice law in the state. There is nothing unique about being a scatterbrained 80-year-old. But a scatterbrained 80-year-old should not be president. The other day, Joe Biden ended a big gun-control speech in Connecticut with the words, “God save the queen, man.” Why did the president express adoration for the departed Brit monarch? Was he confused about royal succession? Is he a Sex Pistols fan? Who knows.
