Washington, D.C. residents, including students, can soon read a book by Tara Reade, who has accused the president of sexually assaulting her. “I was asked to respond to your inquiry about Tara Reade’s book Left Out: When the Truth Doesn’t Fit In,” a D.C. Public Library staffer wrote to me on Wednesday. “I was able to find it listed in one of our vendor’s ordering databases, so [I] have placed an order for this title.” The purchase finalizes a quest that began in September 2022 when I first sought to see if the D.C. library would expand its offerings, given First Lady Jill Biden’s statement that “all books” belong in libraries.

The latest numbers are in, and the folks over at Anheuser-Busch may wanna look away. According to Beer Business Daily, Bud Light’s off-premise sales volume — the amount of beer sold outside of restaurants and bars — was down 26.1% from a year earlier in the week ending in April 22.
That’s even worse than the 21.1% decrease from the week prior, while Bud Light numbers are now down 8% this year.

WASHINGTON — Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen on Monday warned that the United States may run out of measures to pay its debt obligations by June 1, earlier than the government and Wall Street had been expecting.
In a letter to House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, Yellen said new data on tax receipts forced the department to move up its estimate of when the Treasury Department "will be unable to continue to satisfy all of the government's obligations" to potentially as early as June 1, if Congress doesn't raise or suspend the debt limit before then.
