There’s a lot to cover from Saturday evening’s annual nerd prom, otherwise known as the White House Correspondents Dinner. Rest assured, we’ll cover it all in various articles, but the night is best-enjoyed bite by bite. With that said, at some point, Joe Biden took the stage to give the crowd what they all came for. Specifically, a bad president reading bad jokes with all the skill and precision of a budget barber. In other words, Biden is the bowl cut of comedians. Case in point? This battle in Biden’s ongoing war with his teleprompter where he suggests that Mickey Mouse beat the hell out of him for some reason.

The Resident was a blithering idiot before his brain went on the blink. Now he's a demented blithering idiot. And the Donks put him in putative charge. There should be no coming back from that.

WASHINGTON — Congressional hearings are frequently acrimonious, but they rarely descend into the kind of personal attack that Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., waged against teachers’ union leader Randi Weingarten at a House hearing last week on pandemic-related school closures, an issue that continues to excite strong passions. Those passions were expressed in a “very homophobic” way by the outspoken congresswoman, Weingarten told Yahoo News last Friday. The hearing had taken place two days before, but she was still plainly rattled by the exchange. During the hearing, Greene repeatedly noted that Weingarten is not a “biological mother,” a seeming reference to the fact that the 65-year-old American Federation

The Left has launched a comprehensive war on modern agriculture. One aspect of that war consists of attacks on animal husbandry, which to some degree ties in with longstanding crank theories espoused by vegans and others. However, contemporary attacks on meat are mostly climate-based. As such, they are dangerous to your family’s health. The Telegraph reports: "Meat is crucial for human health, scientists have warned, as they called for an end to the 'zealotry' pushing vegetarian and vegan diets. Dozens of experts were asked to look into the science behind claims that meat eating causes disease and is harmful for the planet in a special issue of Animal Frontiers.

It is great fun to joke about how the Clintons must be the force behind the suspicious death of Jeffrey Epstein in his New York City jail cell in 2019, but after the bombshell story published this morning in the Wall Street Journal about heretofore unknown close connections Epstein had we’re moved to ask: who didn’t have a motive for wanting him gone? The story is behind the Journal‘s paywall, and if you don’t have a subscription it will be worth buying at the newsstand tomorrow, when it will surely appear in print. Here are a few highlights and surprises from the story: • Epstein had several meetings

A mass shooting in Texas has left five people dead, including one child, and three more kids wounded. The whispering imps in the lefty, Pravda news industry didn’t want to mention that the shooter is a Mexican national, though at least one was quick to point out the type of gun he used. “5 dead in Texas ‘execution-style’ shooting, suspect armed with AR-15 is on the loose,” ABC reported. Fast facts about the mass shooting in Texas: Francisco Oropeza, 39, was firing his rifle around midnight. His neighbors asked him to stop. Oropeza approached his neighbor’s home, entered, and began firing. All of the dead victims were shot “execution style” in the head.

Have you heard Robert Kennedy, Jr. speak? This cat is on a mission. He takes no prisoners. He talks about “the system” as though it killed his dad and uncle. RFK Jr. announced he is running for president. As of April 19, 2023, he had snagged 14% of Biden’s voters just by declaring his candidacy. Then he began to talk. Now, ten days later, RealClearPolitics currently has RFK Jr. at 20%. Not too shabby. FACT-O-RAMA! The name “Kennedy” is still considered to be American royalty by people 55 years and older, and those people tend to vote. RFK Jr. is saying a lot of things I wish more Republicans would say.

While I’m not fond of “unpack” in this usage, there’s a lot to unpack in answering the headline question. Yes, Kamala Harris is arguably the most unqualified person in history to serve as vice president. Even worse, given the reality of 80-year-old Joe Biden’s mental decline, her ill-advised selection in 2020 puts the Democrat Party in a precarious position with respect to the 2024 presidential election. As conservative columnist Kristin Tate told Fox News Digital, “Kamala Harris is one of the most unlikable and uninspiring public figures in modern political history.” The approval rating of the Cackling Queen of Word Salads™ hasn’t surpassed 40 percent since her first year in office,

In light of what we are witnessing and experiencing in the world today, integrity may seem like an old-fashioned concept unrelated to modern life. If we look up the definition of integrity in the Merriam-Webster online dictionary, we will learn that integrity means “adherence to a strict moral or ethical code; incorruptible; honest; virtuous.” Unfortunately, when we read the daily news headlines, we may think there are no people left with any shred of integrity because almost every news story has to do with corruption, dishonesty, or lack of virtue. We also don’t hear much about “walking your talk” these days unless in conjunction with a Twelve Step addiction recovery program

This week Joe Biden touted a laundry list of immigration carrots and sticks intended to disincentivize illegal immigration at the southern border now that he's lifting the sparsely enforced Title 42 restrictions on May 11. They were mostly carrots. The New York Times called them a "new back door on immigration," and explained that its permissiveness went well beyond the lawful congressional parameters for the admission of immigrants. The response? More migrants at the border than ever. They're massing now in record numbers. Call it 5/11. (Snip) That sounds extreme, but it's based on local Border Patrol reports and there are confirming reports of very large numbers of migrants massing

Next month, it will be 31 years since The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson aired its farewell episode. We all knew that Carson was irreplaceable. Greatly modified expectations got late-night fans through the first several years after Carson retired. The Jay Leno/David Letterman succession mess really threw a dark cloud over the beginning of the post-Carson era. It is well known that Carson wanted Letterman to replace him. Personally, I always thought that Dave was too quirky for the Tonight Show audience. Heck, I thought he was too quirky for that time slot, but he proved me wrong on that one. So-called “transgenderism” was once a weird sexual-fetish activity that existed at the periphery of American society. It’s now moved front and center, something that is inordinately dangerous. Americans are beginning to understand the danger to our children from a movement that is compulsively and pathologically drawn to children, both for sexual excitement and recruitment, but people need to recognize that the so-called “transgender” crowd is also encouraging itself to be violently dangerous to all Americans. Mark Tapson, one of the most insightful writers about cultural issues, has written a powerful essay about the nexus between gender ideology, violence, and, inevitably, full-blown terrorism.

A new report is shedding more light on one of Biden’s biggest liabilities as he heads into his coronation as the 2024 Democratic Party presidential nominee. That’s exacerbated by the fact that their attempts to hide Biden only highlight the issue further. Schumer wrote in a “Dear Colleague” letter that the Senate would begin examining the bill, which passed in the House last week, in a Budget Committee hearing Thursday.“This bill was hastily drafted and forced through the House at a break-neck speed,” Schumer wrote, arguing it was not vetted in a House committee the way bills typically are.

The Democrats have left the goal wide open. Almost anyone could defeat President Joe Biden, whose physical and mental decline can no longer be hidden from the public. Almost anyone.Yet, with a kind of hideous slow-motion inevitability, the Republicans seem determined to pick the one candidate that we know Biden can beat. We can say that definitively, for it is a matter of observed fact rather than conjecture. It is agonizing for friends of the United States to watch the two parties, in the grip of their weird internal dynamics, plumping for candidates whom they know in their souls to be unsuitable.

A Biden administration rule is set to take effect that will force good-credit home buyers to pay more for their mortgages to subsidize loans to higher-risk borrowers. Experts believe that borrowers with a credit score of about 680 would pay around $40 more per month on a $400,000 mortgage under rules from the Federal Housing Finance Agency that go into effect May 1, costs that will help subsidize people with lower credit ratings also looking for a mortgage, according to a Washington Times report Tuesday. “The changes do not make sense. This date is earlier than Wall Street economists were expecting. Goldman Sachs' latest estimate this week
