In a nearly 1,800-word piece posted Thursday afternoon at The New York Times website (but buried on A-16 of Saturday’s print edition), longtime White House reporter Michael Shear blasted the Biden administration for having “protect[ed]” the President through his first two years in office with only 54 interviews and the fewest press conferences in his first two years since Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan (who, as Shear would only note until paragraph 29 that Reagan’s count was due to him being shot).
Shear’s piece was likely at least partially inspired what’s been the occasional missile at a White House press briefing over the last two-plus years

President Joe Biden, stymied by congressional inaction, has signed an executive order that opens a back door for hundreds of thousands of migrants to enter the United States by the end of the year.
The measure, the New York Times unveiled, expands a previous policy granted to refugees fleeing Ukraine, Haiti, and parts of Latin America. Using the temporary protected status label, once sought for elimination by former President Donald Trump, the White House hopes to see 360,000 new entrants from Venezuela, Cuba, Nicaragua, and Haiti by the end of 2023. The move is being made under the guise of attempting to reduce

My colleague Jennifer Oliver O’Connell wrote about the interview that “60 Minutes” did with Ray Epps. It amounted to “60 Minutes” screaming to leave him alone. But people had questions because it seemed like everyone that even breathed near the Capitol that day including grandmas was locked up or pursued into next week. Then there were his statements about going to the Capitol that were caught on video. Then the other question was why Democrats including those on the Jan. 6 Committee and some of the media seemed concentrated on defending him when they’ve demonized every other person. related to Jan. 6.

The Washington Post quietly dropped a ‘bombshell’ about current President Joe Biden’s expected presidential campaign announcement this week.
According to reports, Joe Biden is seriously considering an election rematch against former President Donald Trump.“Biden’s top aides have quietly undertaken extensive preparations for a run, holding regular meetings with the president and first lady since last year in the White House residence,” the report said.
The Democratic National Committee is once again going to protect Joe Biden on the campaign trail. This time “Basement Joe,” who was accused by his critics of dodging campaign events during the Covid pandemic, will be shielded from having to debate in the Democratic primaries.

Harken back to 20 January 2021 when the doddering fool who occupies the Bully Pulpit was inaugurated. He appointed Nicholas McQuaid, a White House lawyer during the Obama presidency, as Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General and Acting Assistant Attorney General for the Criminal Division.
Why should we care? McQuaid was a colleague of Chris Clark, the lawyer Hunter Biden hired in December 2020 to assist with his federal tax problems. A month later Joe Biden appointed McQuaid to oversee the agency that began its investigation of Hunter's tax situation in 2018.

Michelin is recalling more than 542,000 light truck tires in the U.S. because they don't have enough traction to work in all snowy conditions.
The recall covers certain Agilis CrossClimate C-Metric tires that Michelin says don't meet U.S. safety standards.
The tire maker says in documents posted Thursday by safety regulators that tires, which were first sold in the United States and Canada in 2018, without sufficient traction can increase the risk of a crash.

Jorge Masvidal, a legendary UFC fighter, invigorated Trump supporters after praising former President Trump in an amazing interview after his last ever fight earlier this month.
On Sunday, Masvidal appeared on Fox News to double down on his Trump support where he called the 45th president the “greatest president in the history of the world.” Masvidal explained that he felt like he “had to say that to the world” after seeing Trump in attendance at his final welterweight fight in Miami on April 8.

Prince Harry will be sat ten rows back from other senior royals at his father's coronation before making a hasty exit, according to one royal insider.
Former butler Paul Burrell says the Duke of Sussex may have little time to speak to the King or his brother, The Prince of Wales, during his visit next month.
He added there is 'no chance' of a reconciliation following the fallout from his bombshell memoir Spare earlier this year, The Sun reports.

President Joe Biden allegedly promoted a debunked letter from 51 former intelligence officials that was put into plan by Secretary of State Antony Blinken to falsely undermine a New York Post story about Hunter Biden's laptop as supposed Russian disinformation. In 2020, former President Trump questioned Biden during a presidential debate arguing that he could be compromised amid bombshell revelations that the now-president is involved in the shady family business.
However, the Biden campaign quickly dissolved any speculation that Trump's concerns were valid.

Ray Epps, the man accused by many of being involved with federal law enforcement during the January 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol, said over the weekend that Fox News host Tucker Carlson was “obsessed” with him and trying to ruin his life.
Epps made the remarks in an interview that aired Sunday night on CBS News’ “60 Minutes.”“Brings back some bad memories,” Epps said when asked what he thinks when he looks at video of the riot. “It’s hard to see our Capitol under attack.”
The show then highlighted how conservative media and Republican lawmakers have called into question Epps’ role in the riot.

A “60 Minutes” interview with Ray Epps aired Sunday night, prompting backlash from GOP Republicans and conservatives across social media.
In his interview, Epps, who is believed by many to be guilty of orchestrating the events of the Jan. 6 protest, said it was “stupid” of him to encourage Trump supporters to go into the Capitol.“I said some stupid things. My thought process: we surround the Capitol, we get all the people there. I mean, I had problems with the election. It was my duty as an American to peacefully protest, along with anyone else that wanted to.”
He went on to explain why

Former Major League Baseball great Lenny Dykstra took a shot at first lady Jill Biden in his tweet congratulating the Philadelphia 76ers for sweeping the Nets in the first round of the NBA playoffs this weekend.
As the 76ers clinched the first round, the former Phillies center fielder jumped to his Twitter account to congratulate the NBA team, Fox News reported.“Congratulations to the @sixers on sweeping the Nets in the first round. Hopefully it won’t get all f****d up in the Finals, like with the Phillies and Eagles, by the curse of DOCTOR Jill Biden showing up,” he snarked.
