Stanford University's Black Law Students Association will no longer help the university recruit black students after the law school's dean, Jenny Martinez, apologized in early March to Fifth Circuit appellate judge Kyle Duncan. The students cited what they described as the "scapegoating" of the school's diversity dean, Tirien Steinbach, for an incident last month in which students disrupted Duncan's remarks and Steinbach egged them on. "The apology was intimately aligned with White supremacist practices," the group's board wrote....

Good.
It may be the best thing that "Black Students' Group" ever did for aspiring black students looking for a good school to attend.

Seems to me that in refusing to help Stanford recruit Black law students—who would presumably reflect the obviously insanely-Leftist philosophies and values of the BLSA itself— the BLSA is not hurting Stanford but doing it a big favor. Although that said, it’s difficult to see how anyone or anything could bring any positive change to the
obviously insanely-Leftist Stanford University.

Recruit? Since when does filling a quota position with a Quota require recruiting. Now if it were the best and the rightest, different story. But a certain amount of positions will be filled by a certain number of Quotas and recruiting isn't needed.

That’s doing a big favor for the diverted students. It should give them a better chance of success.

Which only proves that an entire generation (um, 4-yrs worth, at least) of black law students at Stanford have sold their souls to the devil of racial grievances.
Jesse Jackson did okay by it...maybe there's enough to go around.

I guess that they’ve never heard the phrase, “biting off your nose to spite your face”. When all you listen to is rap lyrics, you probably miss that one.

It’s time. Time to leave behind quotas and other vestiges of preferential treatment, time to give up all of outmoded, obsolete, and nonfunctional shibboleths. Stanford…drop your quotas. End your pandering. Serve the best and brightest.

I don't think any black applicant who has the intellectual ability and qualification to complete the Stanford Law program needs 'help'. So I don't see what difference this makes.

Maybe, just maybe, Ms Martinez apologized for the behavior that was reflecting the 'content of their character' rather than the 'color of their skin.'

Even more reasons not to hire a recent Stanford law school graduate! Everything is about race to them. How unintelligent. Just shows that admissions quotas do not work.

Systemic White supremacy is the result of hard work. black students want supremacy, not through hard work, just skin color. This will give the country more black dem lawyer politicians, like Hank Johnson, Maxine and Sheila.

Gosh, they're attending Stanford Law School and they need "safe spaces". Did someone get ahead of another person in the cafeteria line? This would be an indication to me of a future graduate who would not aggressively represent me in a dispute. You don't want an attorney who sees himself as a victim.
And, again, more of the "white supremacy" blah, blah. Our court system already has way too many of those who do not promote "equal justice under the law", but I could see those marauding "teens" who were recently filmed jumping on cars and destroying property in the city of Chicago seeking a Stanford Law School graduate, who has the same mindset as the BLSA members, as their defense attorney.
Whoops, forgot, they'll never be held responsible for their actions because they were only out for a night of springtime fun.

The white donors they object to help fund the university, but that’s besides the point. These people are disruptive and need to be disciplined. If they are going to spend their time protesting, they should go somewhere else. Institutions and companies have to put their foot down and put and end to all these “isms” and safe space demands. Expel the lot of them and don’t let them back on campus—“isms” be damned!

Black groups are racist. They should not be allowed, as they are not inclusive or diverse, and harm the esteem of others.
