Don Lemon says he has been fired from CNN

Original Article

Don Lemon was terminated from his anchor role at CNN, he announced Monday. The news comes after Variety published a story earlier this month on allegations that he mistreated his female colleagues over the course of his career there. And earlier this year, he faced backlash over widely criticized comments he made on-air. Lemon announced the news on Twitter, saying he was informed by his agent that he was being terminated. "I am stunned," Lemon wrote. "After 17 years at CNN I would have thought someone in management would have had the decency to tell me directly."

And the worst of it is, Lemon can't figure out why. But THE BiG STORY, barely mentioned thus far on Fox but lighting up Twitter like a Christmas Tree, is the network forcing Tucker Carlson out--------they already hit Dan Bongiorno on the weekend, and now Tucker! !!!!!! It's like a real life version of "Succession", with the Murdoch son, led by his liberal wife and none too bright himself but arrogant enough to think he knows better than his own father did, one by one killing the geese that lay the golden egg along with everything Rupert and Roger Aisles built.. And does ANYONE believe that this was an amicable parting? Does ANYONE trust Fox's version. Absolutely NOT!

Yep #10. Vivek was calm, cool and logical. Don looked like he was having a coronary, sputtering and bulgy eyed right on camera. Don has never been very professional but that was really so far from proper journalistic etiquette even I was wondering what his "handlers" were screaming in his earpiece. Probably "For the love of Pete, shut up Don!!" Speaking of Vivek, the first time I heard him speak himself was during a 1.5 hour interview on Mike Rowe's podcast "The Way I Heard It" at the end of March and I was very impressed. He and President Trump have a lot in common. Both are smart successful businessmen who know how much they owe this great nation and her freedoms.

Tucker Carlson’s firing from Fox News came after he used vulgar language to describe a network executive, the Wall Street Journal reported. Carlson described a senior Fox News executive as a C-word in a text message obtained by lawyers as part of a defamation lawsuit between the network and Dominion Voting Systems, according to the Journal, which like Fox is part of the Murdoch media empire. In a case settled last week for $787.5m, Fox lawyers reportedly convinced the Delaware judge to redact the message from public filings. Carlson, however, was still reportedly furious the network was not doing enough to protect him.

The San Francisco Board of Supervisors voted Tuesday to end a boycott of 30 states that passed conservatives laws after the rule proved costly and ineffective. The board voted 7-4 to repeal a 2016 law that prohibited city employees from traveling to or doing business with companies in states that passed conservative laws. The board of supervisors first enacted the law in an effort to punish states that had enacted what it viewed as restrictions on LGBT rights after the Supreme Court’s decision in Obergefell v. Hodges legalized same-sex marriage nationwide. Since 2015, the board had amended the law to include states that, in its view

Now that President Biden has rolled out his first campaign advertisement of the 2024 cycle, we’ve learned that his theme is going to be “Let’s finish the job.” As with so much else that we’ve watched unfold over the past two years, that video left me feeling like I was watching some sort of poorly scripted dystopian movie. He’s hardly the first president to adopt such a theme, but surely he’s aware that most of his target audience (likely voters who are interested in the election) have access to the internet or at least a television, right? We’ve all witnessed “the job” that he’s done thus far and the results

Biden’s announcement, which was highly anticipated by absolutely no one, came in a video titled “Freedom.” In the video, the president reiterated his tired old diatribes about fighting for the “soul of our nation,” fighting for “democracy” and “blah blah blah.” While some in the activist media are unsuccessfully trying to garner excitement for this development, recent polling suggests that even Democrats aren’t all that enthused about Biden seeking another nap term as president. According to a recent CBS News/YouGov poll, only 22 percent of Democrats expressed excitement

Lots of rumors regarding why it happened are floating around, and as with all breaking news stories you should wait for a bit before you trust anything anybody says. “Inside sources” or outright speculations are unreliable. Was it Dominion? Was it Tucker wanting to defend himself? Was it something else? I don’t know and only a small circle of people so far do. And even they will probably have diverging views. What interests me is how Tucker is a very different kind of media voice and one who can’t easily fit at any cable news station.
