Newsom's promise to appoint a Black woman
for a Senate vacancy creates a quandary

Original Article

Gov. Gavin Newsom promised two years ago to appoint a Black woman to replace Sen. Dianne Feinstein if she resigned. If he merely appointed a temporary “caretaker” would that honor his pledge? I wouldn’t think so. It wouldn’t be in keeping with the spirit of his promise. The governor seemed to be swearing that if given the opportunity, he would fill a glaring Senate void and make sure there was at least one Black woman member of America’s most prestigious and powerful legislative body. She’d be a full-fledged senator, not a temp. She would follow in the footsteps of California’s

Comments:

Gov. Grecian Formula is prone to spouting off inane pronouncements. But in this case far-left Barbara Lee is waiting in line to fulfill his pledge.

To keep his promise Governor Newsome should appoint Meghan Markle as California’s next US Senator as she reportedly hits just about all the key elements of the leftist and socialist Democrat political agenda. Besides she believes that she is “Royalty” so she should fit right in with a good number of the current US Senators who believe that they are high mucky-muck US style “Royalty”.

The obvious answer is Kamala. She ticks the right boxes, and solves the Dems’ cackling word salad problem, allowing them to appoint a new VP with better presidential prospects. Newsom appoints Kamala, she abdicates the VP slot saying she misses serving the citizens of California, and this saves face for her instead of being booted off the ticket. Brandon then appoints Newsom as VP, Brandon later announces he’s not running for re-election, or even resigns allowing Newsom to run as an incumbent eligible for two more terms. It just depends how much dirt and pull the democrat powerbrokers who are actually running things have to make Kamala and Brandon comply. I thought this was going to be the game plan last year when the NYT did a hit piece on DiFi.

Quotas make up about 5% of the Californistan population. Hispanics and Asians make up a far great % of the population. Just goes to show some quotas are more equal than others. Obviously Newsom needs the quota vote in a Dem primary in all the key Blue states other than Californistan. This isn't about empowering quotas or benefiting Cailfornistan. Its about get Newsom the Dem nomination. Cool, callous political calculation at the expense of merit.

Under the banner of "Democracy"(majority rule) he promises to appoint someone from a pool of less than 6% of the National population. Yet California is only 5% Black, hence he has limited the pool to 2.5% of the Calif citizens, since obviously he will ONLY appoint a Democrat, in the name of Majority Representation...he will only draw from a 1% cohort, excluding 99%..after railing against 1%'rs his entire Life. Though he COULD appoint Star Parker, wouldn't THAT be a hoot!

Some 41 percent of U.S. adults would not buy an electric car, according to an April 12 Gallup poll of a random sample of 1,009 people. This, if extrapolated to the wider population, would represent around 106 million Americans who are against a key plank of Joe Biden's vision of a green economy. While this comprises a sizeable minority, the survey, conducted between March 1-23, found that a majority of 55 percent either currently own or were considering owning an electric vehicle (EV). Those against buying an EV tended to be older, and 71 percent of those who identified as
