Former first lady Michelle Obama revealed that she was not invited to the White House for the hanging of her official portrait, in a veiled swipe at former President Donald Trump. When asked whether she had returned to the White House, Michelle Obama said that "wasn’t invited" during an interview with late night show host Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday. She has previously stated she was relieved to leave the White House, and apparently had no interest in visiting the Trumps.

One of the things I loved about Trump was how he refused to turn the other cheek and play nice with all the snakes in D.C. - like refusing to go to the White House Correspondents' dinner (the nerd prom) thereby killing it for four years, and refusing to pretend that news organizations were fair and unbiased. If it is true Mooch was never invited to the WH during the Trump administration, it was only what she deserved. Trust me, if Obama had succeeded Trump, they'd have never invited him either.

This from a quick internet search, and published in People magazine May 19, 2020: The longstanding hostility between Presidents Donald Trump and Barack Obama will end a White House tradition that has been observed for more than 40 years, according to an NBC News report. The outlet reported Tuesday that Trump doesn't plan to host an unveiling ceremony at the White House for Obama's presidential portrait — and that Obama isn't interested in such a ceremony so long as Trump is in office. The absence of a ceremony would break a a longstanding tradition between sitting presidents and their predecessors that dates back to 1978. Notice the "and that Obama isn't interested in such a ceremony as long as Trump is in office". So, it was BY CHOICE it was delayed.

I will never forget how Michelle behaved the day the Trump's arrived on the Steps of the White House. Barak and Michelle stood there, waiting to greet them (with Both of them looking like they would give ANYTHING not to have to do it). Then, when Melania handed Michelle a Gift, Michelle practically threw it to someone to get rid of it! She was not gracious at all. Melania was stunned. So, WHY should the Trump's EVER invite those Two Ungrateful Losers to the White House? They probably did, but if they did not, it was exactly what the Obamas deserved!

I vividly remember Inauguration Day in 2017 when Mooch showed up in a trench coat and her natural hair pulled back in a pony tail plus no makeup. It was a clear message the the Trumps were not worth her time and attention to bother to look nice that day. And the first time the Trump’s visited the WH shortly before moving in, Melania brought a gift for Mooch which was clearly from Tiffany’s - there’s no mistaking that light blue color wrapping paper. When Melania handed it to Mooch, she took it and immediately shoved into the hands of an aid without even looking at it. I don’t think that she said “thank you” either. I wouldn’t invite anyone back to my home who had acted like that either. Suck it up, Mooch. Nobody cares.

Egypt has accused Netflix of misrepresenting history by casting a Black woman to play Cleopatra, its most famous historical figure, in a new series. “Queen Cleopatra,” which is released May 10, features Adele James in the lead role, a casting decision that the streaming giant says is “a nod to the centuries-long conversation about the ruler’s race” but which officials in Cairo have dismissed as “blatant historical fallacy.” The government statement issued Thursday marked an escalation in a feud that has sparked demands for the show's cancellation, amid a broader debate over representation in popular culture. Protesters smeared black and red paint on the case and pedestal of Edgar Degas’s “Little Dancer Aged Fourteen” sculpture at the National Gallery of Art in D.C. on Thursday to bring attention to the climate crisis and demand that President Biden declare a climate emergency. The protesters — a man and a woman, dressed in black suits — slathered their hands, then crouched down to paint the pedestal on which the ballerina sculpture is displayed. They then stood up and smeared their hands across the clear case protecting the artwork. Police removed the two people in handcuffs and ushered out

PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland is about to be one of the first cities in the U.S. with blocks dedicated as a zero-emission delivery zone, thanks to a $2 million grant the city received. These vehicles can include electric vans and trucks, cargo bikes or hydrogen-fueled vehicles. The goal is to reduce traffic from heavy trucks in the downtown area. The governor seemed to be swearing that if given the opportunity, he would fill a glaring Senate void and make sure there was at least one Black woman member of America’s most prestigious and powerful legislative body. A troubling societal issue called "transableism" is attracting attention these days. The point of "changing the identifier" from a psychiatric condition (BIID) to an advocacy term (transableism) is to "harness the stunning cultural power of gender ideology" to the cause of allowing doctors to "treat" BIID patients by "amputating healthy limbs, snipping spinal cords or destroying eyesight," according to Evolution News and Science Today
