Rep. Wesley Hunt (R-TX), who is joining former President Donald Trump for a rally in Waco, Texas, Saturday evening, told Breitbart News Saturday that the target on Trump’s back clearly shows that he is “our guy” moving forward, contending that the far left is “running scared” because they know Trump is going to restore the country to how it was during his first term. (snip) he expects Trump to give a powerful message to the American people during tonight’s rally in the Lone Star State, drawing a stark contrast between the state of the country now and how it was with former President Trump at the helm.

Comments:

Rep. Hunt, who happens to be black, is all in for Trump because of his policies and his guts… We can wimp around about PDJT’s tweets. Hunt has his eye on the big picture.

Like almost all polls, Morning Consult gets mixed reviews. Trump leads by 54 percent to 26 percent, or by 28 points, over Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis in the poll. On Jan. 2, he held an 11-point lead in the Morning Consult—quite a jump. What accounts for it? Idaho Gov. Brad Little signed legislation into law on Friday that added firing squads as an alternative method of execution for the state’s death-row inmates. The bill—dubbed House Bill 186—stipulates that the form of capital punishment will only be used if the state is unable to obtain the drugs needed to perform lethal injections. “I have not given up on the state’s ability to require the chemicals,” Little wrote in a transmittal letter (pdf) after signing the bill. “And, I believe the bill I signed into law last year helped expand options that would not have been available without it.”

A health-care executive who claims Jim Biden defrauded him was interviewed multiple times by the lawyer Joe Biden just nominated to serve as U.S. attorney for the Western District of Pennsylvania. According to two sources, while the Delaware U.S. attorney’s office is aware of the allegations, that office is not investigating the potential fraud, leaving the matter solely in the hands of the conflicted-future U.S. attorney. On Monday, President Biden named Eric Olshan, currently an assistant U.S. attorney in the Pittsburgh office, to fill the vacancy left open when former U.S. Attorney Cindy Chung was confirmed to the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. Investigators probing the 2015 death of Stephen Smith ordered a rape kit examination of the victim’s body — an uncommon move for what was purportedly a traffic accident death, according to a recent report. The 19-year-old South Carolina nursing student’s body was found near a Murdaugh family property, but despite initial officers on the scene reporting the death appeared to be a homicide, an autopsy ruled it a hit-and-run. Mike Duncan, a now-retired corporal with the South Carolina Highway Patrol, told NewsNation it was the first time he had heard of a rape kit examination ordered for a death in a traffic collision (snip): “When it comes to traffic accidents, never.”

Two House Energy and Commerce Committee Republicans announced on March 20 they are introducing legislation to prevent the Biden administration from banning gas stoves. The legislation was introduced by Reps. Kelly Armstrong (R-N.D.) and Debbie Lesko, (R-Ariz.) in response to the Biden administration’s two-pronged push to ban gas stoves, and might go to the House floor for a vote later this year. Lesko introduced H.R. 1640, also known as the Save Our Gas Stoves Act, while Armstrong introduced H.R. 1615, the Gas Stove Protection and Freedom Act. Both bills are currently in committee. The pieces of legislation would prohibit the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) from using federal funding to implement any regulation

At a rally in Waco, Texas, former president Donald Trump spoke to thousands of fans about what he believes are the biggest issues of the day. If you were to pay attention to the news cycles and the American people’s biggest concerns, you might think Trump spent hours talking about persistent inflation, a minor financial crisis, border security, the fentanyl epidemic, China, Russia, energy independence, etc. None of that really seemed to be on Trump’s agenda Saturday night, however. Instead, what we got was an airing of grievances from the former president. It was a rally focused on his personal enemies – the Department of Justice, Ron DeSantis, Joe Biden, Mitch McConnell,

When Dianne Feinstein arrived in Washington in 1992, her home state of California was solidly purple and Republican Pete Wilson occupied the governor’s office. More than 30 years later, as the oldest member of Congress and California’s longest serving senator prepares to retire, her state is arguably the most reliably blue in the US. Feinstein’s protracted career as a senator also charts the rise of California as a political power player on Capitol Hill, whose 55 electoral votes – the largest block by far, with Texas and Florida as distant seconds – have helped guarantee a Democrat in the White House for six out of the last eight terms.
