Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are allegedly demanding a place on the Buckingham Palace balcony during King Charles’ coronation — and an acknowledgment during the festivities of their two young kids, according to a report. The requests, and the couple’s apparent holding out until their wishes are granted, may throw the historic event into “chaos,” royal insiders fear. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex — who recently received their invitations to the May 6 ceremony — are still mulling over whether or not they will make the 5,459-mile-long trip. If they do go, the exiled royals will be met with a “cold shoulder” from senior members of the royal family

Haven't heard anything from or about Meghan's mother. I recall her being very warmly and graciously welcomed into the family by the Queen herself right from the start. (I guess I must have missed that horrific "racism" we're told I'd bet Harry's mother-in-law in none too happy with the couple, depriving her of the fairytale relationship with the Royals. I understand that this drama is seen as tedious and annoying to many people, but I find it fascinating as a psychological study. H&M were handed a fairytale life and literally threw it away. But they also demonstrate behavior we in lesser social strata deal with in our own families. Textbooks will be written about these two brats!

Meghan's desire for royal fame and fortune is at the heart of this problem, but I expect that Harry's jealousy of his older brother being in line for the monarchy lit the match that started this dumpster fire. Ignoring the riches you have and focusing on what you don't have is never a good idea.

I think they have not planned to go to the UK, and this is their way of blaming it all on King Daddy. Now they can say He wouldn't meet any of their "Demands", so they will not be attending. Imagine the Chutzpah of Those Two Grifters! They are living off the Money Harry made from his Book (the One that tried to tear the Royal Family apart), and now they think they are calling the Shots. I think they KNOW they burned their Bridges with the People in the UK, so they were never going to go to this Event. Hard to believe King Charles didn't understand that and defied the wishes of his "People" and sent them the Invite anyway. But then, Nobody ever said he was very Bright!

FTA: "Prince William’s children are expected to take part in the coronation" Prince William's children are the children of an actively working member of the royal family. They are somewhat older than Harry's kids, and to a limited extent, they have been attending events like this for all of their lives, unlike Harry kids. Also, Prince William and his kids represent heir #1, and spares 2, 3 and 4. Then we get to the guy that doesn't want to play, except when he can whine about it. Has Harry not noticed is is no longer the "Spare" - that would be #2, Prince George? Maybe Harry should change the name of his book to "Fifth Wheel".

Russia's invasion of Ukraine cannot be equated with the US-led invasion of Iraq, former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair said Saturday, ahead of the 20th anniversary of the conflict that toppled Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein. Blair said Moscow's forces had invaded "a country that has a democratically elected president who, to my knowledge, has never started a regional conflict or committed any aggression against its neighbors." The former British leader said Saddam Hussein, on the other hand, had brutalized his own people, engaged in two wars in violation of international law and used chemical weapons to kill 12,000 people in a single day.

If Democrats really wanted Donald Trump to fade away, as they claim, then they would stop persecuting him. Maybe they are so blinded by hatred that they can’t see that every time they use the heavy hand of the law against the former president, they just cement his status as MAGA martyr. Or maybe they are so terrified of running against Ron DeSantis in 2024, that they actually want to martyr Trump to ensure he wins the Republican presidential primary ready for a repeat contest with Joe Biden. In that scenario, Democratic prosecutors in New York and Georgia, and a partisan DOJ, play the role of picadors

“With the law books filled with a great assortment of crimes, a prosecutor stands a fair chance of finding at least a technical violation of some act on the part of almost anyone. In such a case, it is not a question of discovering the commission of a crime and then looking for who has committed it, it is a question of picking the man and then searching the law books, or putting investigators to work, to pin some offense on him. It is in this realm — in which the prosecutor picks some person whom he dislikes or desires to embarrass, or selects some group of unpopular persons

The missile flew across the country and landed in the sea off its east coast, according to South Korean and Japanese assessments – which reported that the missile traveled a distance of about 500 miles.

President Joe Biden has repeatedly denied that his family received money from China. He has also denied any knowledge of his son’s foreign dealings despite direct evidence to the contrary, including a recorded message from the President to Hunter referencing the deals. The White House has simply refused to address the recording or photographs contradicting the President. Now, there is confirmation that millions were sent from China and then money from a third-party account was distributed to at least three, and possibly four, Biden family members. However, when confronted with the evidence on the way to Marine One, the President again declared “that’s not true.”

The lawsuit filed against Fox News by Dominion Voting Services, set to go to trial on April 17, may turn out to be a seminal case in First Amendment jurisprudence, with effects that reach well beyond Fox. In a nutshell, Dominion charges that Fox defamed them by putting on air people who claimed that Dominion’s voting machines yielded incorrect results, to the benefit of Joe Biden. More than this, the plaintiffs have secured, through depositions, evidence that Fox News hosts and news executives themselves disbelieved the claims their on-air guests were making. For all that, the irony surrounding this case abounds. If Americans have learned anything during the past six years

Always outnumbered in a sea of enemies, the Byzantines' survival had depended on its realist diplomacy of dividing its enemies, avoiding military quagmires, and ensuring constant deterrence. Generations of self-sacrifice ensured ample investment for infrastructure.
