If Democrats really wanted Donald Trump to fade away, as they claim, then they would stop persecuting him. Maybe they are so blinded by hatred that they can’t see that every time they use the heavy hand of the law against the former president, they just cement his status as MAGA martyr. Or maybe they are so terrified of running against Ron DeSantis in 2024, that they actually want to martyr Trump to ensure he wins the Republican presidential primary ready for a repeat contest with Joe Biden.
In that scenario, Democratic prosecutors in New York and Georgia, and a partisan DOJ, play the role of picadors

This whole escapade appears to be a Trumpesque hoax. A "leaker" lets it be known of this arrest plan. FPDT gets the hedlines by "expecting" to be arrested. His attorneys say he'll surrender. And...
1) The Trumpistas are ready to mobilize and march on Washington, encircle Mar-a-Lago and Trump Tower to prevent any arrest, despite the surrender aspect.
2) Trump's "inner circle" fire at DeSantis and Haley for not making statements supporting the Great Man. Again, riling up the MAGA crowd and perhaps hardening opposition to either on the flank.
3) The arrest story falls apart as there is at least one more witness to appear before the grand jury, and then the formalities of charging anyone. This is trumpeted as fear by the top Dems/Libs as the Trumpistas make their opposition known to any "arrest". Also fear of promoting the candidacy of the Great Man.
4) FPDT has deniability...he was merely "expecting" arrest Tuesday on the word of a leaker...and see 3) above.
3-D chess...who's the winner in all this?

So, Miranda is toeing the Murdoch line (pro-DeSantis) and thinks that the Dems prosecution of Trump is planned to get him the GOP nomination and they he will lose the general election.

#2, sounds like he is blaming Trump. What is it with that? The guy did outstanding things for this country despite the daily attacks. He won the 2020 election and has been dealing with relentless lawfare since he was inaugurated. The fact that he is still standing and ready to take this corrupt, lawless, anti-American cabal on again is amazing. If you believe anyone would take what he has taken since 2015 and do it merely to feed his ego, that is absurd. He had multiple ways in his career to prove himself and succeeded with the accolades from the very same people who are attacking him now. What changed? The guy saw a problem and knew he could execute a solution and he did in spades. Trump is on a mission to save this country, is battle hardened and most importantly is not beholden to the Republican elites for anything. The rub is that far too many in the Republican hierarchy do not want the country fixed. They like it just like it is now. They like that game and know how to play it, but still haven’t figured out how to stop Trump from putting the country over politics. All they know is destroy him at all cost. Then choose someone they know they can manipulate which is pretty ridiculous because the base is not going anywhere and they will not be told who to vote for ever again.

#8, I am accusing Trump of a brilliant coup that creates turmoil all around him to his benefit. It's all anyone is talking about. And to seal the deal is a text I received from Trump encouraging me to stand tall...and send him money. Stand back once and look at this chaos objectively. Who is benefiting? DeSantis, Haley, Bragg, Biden, the Dems/Libs? Only one answer, and you know how that is...

For those paying attention, every time something bad breaks under Biden ... banks fail and crypto-scams get discovered ... balloons spy on us ... Russia and China agree to trade ... trains derail ... more Hunter scandals ... etc ... something negative comes out about Trump or his kids. Always. And he's been out of the POTUS office for over 2 years!
#2's logic is the same as saying that there is no such thing as bad publicity as long as they spell your name right. Utter nonsense. Being indicted on phony charges will help no one ... especially a guy like Trump. They're trying to bleed him to death with 1,000 cuts. Wake up.

Miranda Devine is correct. Focusing on Trump’s legal problems, no matter how bogus, takes the focus off the horrendous damage Biden and the Democrats are inflicting. Nonetheless to complain about Trump defending himself is futile. Of course he will do whatever it takes to protect himself. Anyone would do the same.
Were he not running the persecution would diminish but probably never completely disappear. Democrat focus would switch to demonizing DeSantis. He, however, has much less baggage. For example he would never be accused of getting it on with a porn star. Can Trump win in 2024? I have my doubts.

It IS a gift. It distracts from the horrible economy and especially from the communist policies the Biden Admin wants to adopt: CRT, DIE, ESG and SEL. These things are where the real Biden agenda is being implemented. So long as people are watching the Trump sideshow, they won't watch what Biden & CO are doing to Communize our country.

The democrats never make a move...unless it's to further their takeover of America...they forgot one important thing....this is not Russia or china...where their people are bullied and cheated out of their right to live their own lives...this is America...where WE were raised to believe in our freedoms...and WE don't take kindly to people who play with our Constitution.....WE stand with our leader...President Trump...the lion with the golden mane....
