Joe Biden’s utter lack of economic knowledge was on full display Saturday and Twitter CEO Elon Musk thoroughly humiliated him in the process.
Biden sent out a tweet claiming that billionaires do not pay their “fair share” in taxes. To resolve this, he demanded a minimum 25% tax rate on billionaires.
Look, I think you should be able to be a billionaire if you can earn it, but just pay your fair share. I think you ought to pay a minimum tax of 25%.
It’s about basic fairness.
As noted by the Blaze, Biden’s tweet also included a graphic containing a message from his

The opinions of demented old sleepy Joe are hardly a sound basis for income tax law.

Musk paid a few times more in taxes than Biden and his ill-gotten gains are worth, so maybe Joe should cram it.

I always hated that term, "fair share". Who decides what is a fair share? Its always some worthless sob who didnt earn the money and wont be paying it. The real fair share is zero.

Bidet set up a company; the company hired bidet to give speeches; the company paid less to bidet to give speeches than the venues paid the company to have bidet give the speeches.
The company paid to bidet the difference between what it was paid and what it paid bidet.
Bidet thereby avoided paying employment taxes on the company's profits.
Bidet is a 1970s caliber marketing slob, not a leader.

Much like the phony narrative that Republicans are going to cut Social Security, the false narrative that the wealthy don't pay their fair share in taxes is a demoslut talking point that has had a shelve life of at least fifty years.

When Elon paid his $11Billion in tax, he said it was a 53% cut of his earnings that year.
joe wants him to pay "his fair share," or a 25% cut of his earings.
That $5Billion would have been less than half of what he did pay!

#3, ditto. 'Fair Share' was the amount (pre-determined) I was always forced to 'voluntarily contribute' to the annual United Way campaign, even though I disagreed with most of the beneficiaries. I was assured I could designate where my 'voluntary contribution' would be directed. Behind the scenes they moved the funds around to benefit their goals. And don't forget the annual gala to celebrate how wonderful they were.

#3 it is funny to watch these fair share morons squirm when somebody has the audacity to ask them to define "fair share". Since they are really nithing but trained parrots they cannit even begin to explain fair share. Name calling usually ensues.
I remember a time Hannity was interviewing Kerry early in his presidential run. Kerry was spouting off the "tax the rich to save America" nonsense he was running on and Hannity just pounded him on exactly who was rich. What income cutoff was Kerry using. Finally Kerry threw out his number for income at whuch the government and IRS would consider you the rich that need to be taxed.
40,000 to 50,000 per year. A point that was pretty close to the average annual salary in the US at that time.

America was founded by guys who didn’t want to pay taxes. It took a constitutional amendment to allow income taxes. There is no such thing as a “fair share” of taxes. No one should want to pay taxes, and making people who work hard, take risks and make a lot of money pay more is as far from fair as anything can be.

There's also a saying about doing your fair share of work and very few democrat senators or the one that they selected for POTUS have ever come close to that limit, especially those like Fat Teddy and Di Feinstein who slept through most of their final days. I have a hard time believing that Biden knows how to use Twitter, it was probably little Mophead who typed it for him.

#7, that's exactly why United Way was formed, to prevent people from contributing to charities of their own choice through their job and force everybody to support only the liberal causes. Corporations were soon "encouraged" to make it mandatory over 30 years ago and those who did not have 100% participation were publicly shamed.
Imagine my surprise at learning that the current CEO of United Way Worldwide is Angela F. Williams, an African American woman with a salary in the million dollar plus range. Her actual salary is methodically omitted from news articles but her predecessor made $1.2 million and ranked in the top 10 of non-profit salaries. What better way to target and pay "deserving" charities in an "equitable" manner.

How many of those "3%'rs" are headquartered in Biden's Delaware...where they use it's unique "Caribbean Bank" style Tax Haven laws to get away with that?
IF Biden simply called for ending Delawares tax haven rules he could raise ALL of the funds he is demanding...just by treating everyone the same nationwide. (OR he could demand ALL states get to match Delawares rules as well, inducing economic growth to raise national receipts...which are already setting records every month/quarter)

If billionaires pay 25% and others pay a different percentage, lower or higher, how is that fair? Wouldn't "fair" require everyone to pay the same percentage?

#17 might not be considering the "fairness" of taxing somebody into poverty, as a tax that is strictly flat can drag somebody's effective income below the nominal cost of living. There needs to be at least some consideration of means and exigencies in the game.

Fair share? How is one person paying $11,000,000,000.00 in income taxes fair? Seems a bit excessive to me! I don't care how much you make, once you get to a certain amount in income taxes per person, it seems that you have paid more than your "fair share". In most cases, the income is only on paper, not cash in the person's pocket. The money may count as income but it is left to be reinvested in the person's company. Of course, this cannot happen if they have to pay all of their (on paper) income in taxes? Do the wealthy use more government services or get better services for their extra money paid? The tax the wealthy, pay your fair share may make a great sound bite, but the financial reality of it is not very smart or good for anyone in the long run.

"Fair share" is the Dem talking point to whip the sheeple up into a frenzy against those who are successful. The Dems never define what it is, they just keep shouting it.
