John Fetterman Might Resign. It Could
Be an Opportunity for Democrats

Original Article

Senator John Fetterman's health remains under scrutiny as he continues his treatment in the hospital and there are serious questions about what Democrats might do if the senator chooses to resign. Fetterman's team has made no indication that he will resign and Pennsylvania's Democratic Governor Josh Shapiro has said there is no "contingency plan" if he does resign. Shapiro would be tasked with selecting someone to fill Fetterman's seat in the event but there would then have to be a special election in 2024. That would take place at the same time as Democratic Senator Bob Casey is seeking reelection

Comments:

Dems and the media are already plotting his replacement.

#1 beat me to it. Remember when Biden said Mrs. Fettermen would make a good senator? He let the cat out of the bag. Fettermen is claiming clinical depression. How can you disprove that? So Gisele steps in, noble woman and wife that she is. Our government has become a cruel joke on the American citizens.

How can Fetterman resign if he is so depressed that he had to be hospitalized and does not apparently realize which way is up? Obviously the leftist and socialist Democrats just wanted to hold that Pennsylvania Senate Seat and really don’t give a hoot about Fetterman personally. What really happened is that the leftist and socialist Democrats “faked out” the voters of Pennsylvania when they nominated the disabled Fetterman as their Senate candidate and the voters of Pennsylvania should remember that political deceit that the Democrats perpetrated against them. If and when a resignation is received from Fetterman, chances are the leftist Democrat Governor of Pennsylvania will appoint someone who is a leftist or socialist Democrat to that Senate seat who could not win such an election based upon his or her own right.

If shapiro (or any other governor) does not/did not have a "contingency plan", especially considering Fetterman 's condition, then he is shortsided, incompetent and unqualified for the position. But, I doubt Fetterman was legitimately elected and this was planned all along.

I think that Philadelphia mayor Jim Kenney could be in line for Governor Shapiro to fill the Senate seat vacated by FetterLurch. Kenney brought his leftist agenda to Philly and has been spectacularly unsuccessful. From his failed Philly soda tax, to his proposed supervised injection sites for drug addicts (stuck down by the 3rd circuit court) to his hands-off policies of the Kensington neighborhood "Badlands" (the largest open-air drug market on the East Coast and plagued by drug-related violence), to his failed sanctuary city policies, to the spectacular increase in violent crime, and much more. Kenney would fit the anti-American, leftist agenda.

Congress and the president are expected to nullify a Washington, D.C., law for the first time in more than 30 years, and District leaders are expressing frustration over what they say is a major step backwards for statehood. President Joe Biden said Thursday he won't veto a measure that would block D.C. from enacting a controversial criminal code reform bill if it lands on his desk. During the 2016 elections, Kellyanne served first as a campaign advisor to candidate Trump and then as his campaign manager, while her husband co-founded the Lincoln Project with the express purpose of keeping Trump out of the White House. As soon as this month, air quality officials in the San Francisco Bay Area are expected to adopt the nation’s first rules phasing out new gas-fueled water heaters and furnaces in homes and businesses starting in 2027. When they do, it will mark a significant step in the effort to curb health-damaging and planet-warming emissions from buildings. The California Air Resources Board adopted plans last year to phase out sales of gas water heaters and furnaces statewide by 2030 but isn't going to consider setting rules to do so until 2025. Democrats have lacked an outright majority this week in the Senate as a number of temporary absences complicate their ability to confirm Joe Biden's nominees and give Republicans an easier time sending legislation to the president's desk. Four senators have missed all of their votes this week, three Democrats and one Republican, underscoring just how tenuous the 51-49 Democratic control of the upper chamber is. Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) has left Washington to deal with a “health matter,” according to a spokesperson, and it's not clear when she'll be back for Senate votes. “She hopes to return to Washington soon,”

We’ve seen that Democrats don’t seem to understand some of the basic principles of the Constitution. Or perhaps, more accurately, don’t seem to care about complying with it. We’ve also seen that they don’t understand that Joe Biden isn’t king. He doesn’t get to declare, by unilateral fiat, the cancellation of student debt. That’s not within his Constitutional power, no matter what Democratic politicians may think. But they wanted to do it to pay off their base for their votes.
