With all due respect to Walgreens CFO James Kehoe, inventory shrinkage mostly at the hands of organized retail crime is still worth crying over if you are a retailer. Take Target (TGT), for example. "It [inventory shrinkage] was certainly a headwind [last year]," Target CFO Michael Fiddelke told Yahoo Finance on Tuesday (video above). "We know we're not alone in seeing elevated levels of shrink and organized retail crime driving some of that theft." Fiddelke said the profit impact amounted to "hundreds of millions of dollars of headwind." The issue is likely to challenge Target's bottom line in 2023, he

They are pretty slow in addressing the rampant theft. Across the country ''shrinkage'' losses totaled $94 Billion.

Since the local governments seem to be ok with it and refuse to prosecute, I'd say the reparations are paid in full. No further blackmail will be accepted. Enjoy your Nikes and purple drank. Its amazing that any businesses can stay open after that.

Target decided to alienate so many of their sane, moral, normal customers with their woke bathroom (and other) policies. I remember shopping their 2 to 3 times a week several years ago. In the last 5 years or so, I think I have been in a Target maybe 3 times, and only to buy something I couldn't find anywhere else and had to have that day. But I didn't look at, or buy, anything else. So a few limousine lie-berals, and a lot of feral criminals, are all they have for a customer base these days. Stupid and evil self-inflicted wounds.

They have no business complaining, Target is woke as heck, they launched a trans clothing collection for kids, invested $10 million to support social justice, and then, blocked their ads from running in negative news stories related to BLM. Interesting side note: Jewish owned BlackRock and The Vanguard Group, are major shareholders in the company, it is no coincidence that where you find them you find woke.

Brought it on themselves as have others. Big box stores are fading and it's about time. I haven't been in Target, a place I frequented frequently, since the day a woman in the cashier's line behind was hysterical because when she walked into the ladies' room with her young daughter, there was a man urinating in the kids' sink. Men were in the ladies' dressing room too.

A friend and neighbor is a retired police officer, and worked "bunco" for about 15 years after retiring from the PD, for large grocery chains and big box stores. He told me about organized and well trained gangs that move from city to city and hit the big stores with various different planned thefts, checks, fraudulent credit cards, and other organized theft. And after a week or two working an area.....they just disappear and go to a different city to set up their thefts there.
