President Joe Biden revealed Tuesday that he will pitch raising taxes when he releases a proposed budget on March 9, but insists he will stick to his campaign promise not to hike taxes on Americans making less than $400,000 a year.
Biden made the remarks during his trip Tuesday to Virginia Beach, Virginia, in a speech that was mainly dedicated to defending the Affordable Care Act and Medicaid against Republican cuts.
'I want to make it clear, I'm gonna raise some taxes,' Biden said in the speech. 'Many of you are billionaires out there. You're going to stop paying at 3 percent.'

I am paying more for everything. Especially food and gas. I am newly retired and holding off selling my home until prices go up again and maybe apartment rent will go down. But we are being "taxed" because of inflation and NO it is NOT going down, FJB has swiss cheese for brains and everyday the holes keep getting bigger and the connection a normal brain makes is no longer functioning. He is becoming dangerous and a national security liability. He needs to be in a secured dementia ward at a local NH. And I don't mean the WH with Nurse Ratched (Mrs. FJB) in charge of the store. And this bag of manure still wants me to pay for junior's college education! And send $billions to other countries while fellow Americans have issues and defend foreign borders but now our own. And our children are being educated to become the stupidest students not the best. Go to hell and I mean it. FJB and I mean that too. Yes, I am upset and sad and concerned. I love this country and we need a cool steady hand and this administration is the worst at every level.

Hopefully House Republicans are not stupid enough to go along with this in a fit of “bipartisanship” (which in DC means RINOs folding to Dems).

The inflation tax is already costing us 12% more on every dollar spent. And about the tax rate indexing, which is based on the government's computation of the inflation rate, that computation leaving out everything that people buy. As a result, the real tax paid or withheld is increasing every year on regular working Americans.

Every time they say they are going to raise taxes on the rich they end up raising taxes on the middle class. EVERY TIME!

Will the wimpy Republicans who control the House of Representatives take a cleaver to Biden’s proposed budget that is bound to be loaded up with pork for the leftist and socialist Democrat advocacy and political groups. Based upon the wimpy Republicans recent history in DC, that factor certainly remains to be seen!

Hey Joe! You do realize the government would raise more revenue if you implemented policies that grew business and jobs? Taxation has reached a point of diminishing returns.
The reason he does stuff like this is all about control. Control business. Make people dependent.
Enough.

He could generate even MORE funds, much faster...by simply reversing the Unique Tax Haven status of his "home" state of Delaware that shields corporations from federal Taxes, and taxes in other states...as well as tax, investor, financials disclosures.
OR...he could allow EVERY state that wants to, to operate under the same rules.

Complete, total, evil lie. No amount, even 100% tax, on billionaires, will make a dent in the deficit. I know a Trojan horse when I see it.

I wish I could tell my customers inflation is only 6 or 8%.
I see a lot of the "essentials" of their business going up I've had to break the news of prices of things like toilet paper and bath towels increase as much as 40% in the last 12 to 18 months. That's more like a 25-30% increase. I can tell you that money isn't going in my pockets or my employer's pockets, but directly to increased costs from the producers/manufacturers. Their cost of materials goes up, the cost of products go up, and we can only absorb so many cost increases before we have to raise our prices as well.

FTA: He said, however, that 'no one over 400 - making less than $400,000 - is going to pay a penny more in taxes.' Ah...Clintonian Weasel Words! The grift that keeps on grifting. Of course not a penny more. The IRS doesn't even recognize amounts of a penny. They insist you round amounts up. SO...a meaningless, but convenient lie.

Biden you cheater, what happens when you decide to tax the hell out of the uber wealthy? They lose interest in generating more wealth for themselves and us. Think about that for a minute, pal.
No steady well-paying jobs, no prosperity, the Great Reset controlling us like circus animals, and no longer the "pursuit of happiness". Or is that your plan.

Obama made the same promise regarding $200,000, On February 4, 2009, just 16 days into his Administration, Obama signed into law a 156 percent increase in the federal excise tax on tobacco, a hike of 61 cents per pack of cigarettes. The price of my cigars increased $20.00 per box. I think that tax still applies.
