The average child in Britain begins consuming harmful pornography online at the age of 13 while as many as ten per cent start watching the often violent and disturbed content at the age of nine, a government report has found. A paper issued by Children’s Commissioner Dame Rachel de Souza this week said that there is an “urgent need to protect children from the harms of online pornography,” with the report noting that “by age nine, 10 per cent had seen pornography, 27 per cent had seen it by age 11 and half of children who had seen pornography had seen it by age 13.”

Parental failure for not blocking or limiting phone access and rampant uncountable sex websites. You can’t go to the library and see this stuff so don’t go all first amendment on supporting access this crap. Unfortunately young children will wrongly perceive that sex is purely mechanical and love has nothing to do with it. Women being treated roughly as sex objects.

I was about eight or nine when I found my first Playboy. At the time it was a scandalous publication that would not be carried by most retailers. Good stuff. If my parents knew about it, they probably fell down on the side of "at least he isn't gay."

This is absolutely ruinous. Parents give their children smart phones very early, they need to block damaging content and constantly check for it. Kids are smart and know how to manipulate these devices. So easy to warp a young mind with that crap.

How can parents protect children from online pornography, when kids know more about computers than their parents do. Many parents have to ask their kids how their own smart phones work.

with all of the various Dot suffixes already in play, Mandating a DotRRR/DotXXX suffix for such stuff wouldn't constitute Govt Overreach to me. They already do it for every film, and even TV. And then blocking any access from various devices would auto defeat it. If "Big Tech" can independently, yet in concert, block/ban/defund/delink/defeat every utterance of a sitting President, and or a particular topic, they can certainly do so with Porn.

#1 "You can’t go to the library and see this stuff " actually people can, and DO. It has been an issue in many many places, some where homeless, stinky, vagabonds regularly perch in the public library daily perusing it...and the Lefty Librarians Groups terribly upset....that anyone should complain about them doing so. In fact, it is worth a visit to your local library to check out for yourself...simply sit down at one of the public computers and click on the drop down "History" tab. You likely will be shocked. I certainly was at a local College Library computer lab, lower level schools are likely the same.

Libraries are a preferred venue for perverts who want to view kiddie porn. They avoid the risk of having it found on their home computer. I would imagine that the libraries have methods of blocking that stuff or your local library would be overrun with men in trenchcoats who are not spies.

Nearly seven years after most media abandoned standards of fairness in a stampede to defeat Donald Trump, it is widely accepted that those outlets can not be trusted to deliver accurate reports. Rather than perform the journalists’ duty of informing the public of news, many of today’s reporters and editors concoct narratives about events that consistently align with the agenda of the Democratic Party. This overt embrace of partisanship is a major factor in two developments roiling the nation. The first is a hardening of polarization that deeply divides voters

As we are law-abiding people, that was out of the ordinary. At my door was the animal control officer. That seemed odd since our dogs stay in the backyard and don’t roam around the neighborhood. The issue that warranted said knock on my door was the fact that I had inadvertently left one of our dogs out a little longer than usual.

The United States could bring down the Chinese surveillance balloon currently flying eastward across the country by shooting it with a laser, which would cause it to gradually descend without inflicting serious damage to civilians on the ground, according to an aerospace specialist. The Defense Department previously ruled out shooting down the balloon, which was first spotted earlier this week in Montana, saying that its size could cause a debris field large enough to harm Americans. But Art Thompson, CEO of California-based company Sage Cheshire Aerospace which provides stratospheric balloon launching and research services, believes that a “semi-controlled descent” could be a solution.
