Christian Ziegler, the vice chair of the Republican Party of Florida, who is running for the chairmanship, told Breitbart News Saturday about the successes the Sunshine State has seen over the past four years, noting that Republicans are in a strong position politically, particularly in terms of voter registration in Florida.
Florida will be electing its state chairman in a matter of weeks, Ziegler said, noting that his challenger is the chairman and lobbyist in Leon County. Ziegler also highlighted how important the chairmanship role is, particularly given how significant Florida is politically and the impact it has made over the past few years.

The many pukes in NYC should enjoy the rising level of the cesspool.

From the article...
"“Out of a million, about half a million have registered as Republican, and only 17,000 have registered as Democrats. So we’re just obliterating the Democrats,” he said.
“I did not believe it. I had to go back and redo the numbers because I just couldn’t believe it, but it ends up being true,” he added."

I came to FL in 2014 (from NY), and I'm glad to see this trend. (It's a horrible recurring nightmare to remember how close Gillium came to beating DeSantis.)
The constant worry was that people would bring bad liberal habits down to Florida. That doesn't seem to be happening.
But there IS a downside. NY progressives like their execrable governor Hochul may cry crocodile tears, but they're not that unhappy to see conservatives and Republicans leave. Every now and again they're unload some rant about how NY is the progressive capital of the nation (Cuomo) or that conservatives don't belong here (Hochul).
Were it not for this exodus from NY Zeldon would've creamed Hochul the Horrible.
I believe the 2020 census was rigged, and I take two indicators as clues. For the first time since World War II New York only lost 1 seat. In every other census they lost at least two; once five. And this miracle followed DeBlasio trashing the city and igniting the exodus. And second, then-governor Cuomo got his macho on and threatening major investigations into the census, the day it was released, but promptly shut up the next day and ever after. Somebody called him and said, "Look this is the best we can do. Don't blow it."
Anyway, the red get redder (I like that), the blue get bluer (sad, as Trump would say). The result isn't clear, but it's not necessarily a good thing for the country.

I hope this is correct but I have lived in two lovely small cities where incomers ran for public office as Republicans and performed as progressives. Know who you are voting for in local elections especially the races with very low turnouts.

17,000 is more than enough to swing some elections in FL. Make them go home.

This rings true to me. To be a conservative in a blue state means being cut off from the political process. Worse, it's like the school bullies are waiting for you out in the playground. We are all the descendants of immigrants and our ancestors voted with their feet. Why not vote with our feet from blue states to red states? Blue states seem strong, but it's like standing on the shoreline as the sand washes away under your feet--a lot of that strength is illusion. Politicians like Hochul might want Republicans gone but New York State will miss our money. And the days of funneling fed tax dollars to failing blue states will end soon now that we control the House, for now.

They better closely watch those 17K. And for that matter, how many of the 500k lied about being republican.

That really means nothing. We have seen many places where democrats register as republicans and run for office as republicans only to make decisions and "rule" as democrats would. Additionally, many democrats register as republicans so they can have a say in republican primaries but then actually vote democrat in the main elections.
