Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has reportedly pulled dissenter Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) from the important Commerce Committee, which could be interpreted as retaliation for challenging his leadership bid.
Further lending credibility to the retaliation theory, McConnell also pulled Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) from the Commerce Committee. Lee supported Scott’s bid to oust McConnell at the time.
“People told me not to run for Republican Leader against Mitch McConnell. They said I wouldn’t win. I knew it was going to be hard. But we’ve got to start somewhere,” Scott said in an ad released in early January.
“We are on the road to woke socialism

The Republican AG of Kentucky needs to check on McConnell and if he finds anything criminal, open an investigation on him ASAP. McConnell must go!

McConnell is a loathsome viper and is exactly why I abhor the Republican party I vote for. Were it not for the glimmer of hope I cling to that the few bright spots among them can bring positive goals for our nation, I've given thought to just turning my back on the whole process. There are more than a few, like the turtle, I despise more than Dems.

How did a Democrat become the GOP Senate minority leader? He and McDaniel withheld money from Trump endorsed candidates the same way McConnell opposed tea party candidates last decade. GOP of Kentucky, stop dumping your trash in Washington.

37... I can't believe there are 37 supporters of the treasonous Chinese Asset, McConnell! No elfin wonder the US is in such dour shape. It's a difficult choice to pick who is the most heinous, Hunter Biden or Mitch McConnell, after all Biden didn't marry a "Honey Trap Wife".

Will none of our oak solid perfect establishment never Trumpers come to the defense of Mitch-MItt-Thune and the lifetime members of the Senate club?
One this site, the same people who defend the Senate status quo are the same ones who yesterday told us it can only be DeSantis, that Trump and is a language is an unelectable bully. Yet here we have cocaine Mitch and all his connections to Chyner bullying the few statesmen left in the Senate.
If your Republican Senator isn't being punished by Mitch, ask yourself" why not"?

What a small little man Mitch McConnell is. He has shown exactly what he thinks of anyone who would dare oppose him. He would be a better fit in the democrat party because he certainly is one of them both temperamentally and ideologically. I’d like to see Republicans call him out on his vindictiveness but I certainly won’t hold my breath.

The GOP put this man in charge. The GOP is not your friend. The GOP is anti-Conservatism. They are not RINOs. They are todays GOP. Stop voting for them. Stop sending them money.

Both Scott and Lee were pulled from the Commerce Committee. The important question may be what is that committee up to? Guessing sweetheart deals with China that are good for certain Senators but bad for the United States and its citizens. If McConnell could force Republicans from a committee, does that mean he could force Democrats too? If so, why isn't he focusing on the Democrats?
The Senate needs term limits. McConnell has been in the Senate since 1985 thanks to voters.

Rich323 - unfortunately the KY AG (Daniel Cameron) is a McConnell protege AND he's endorsed by Trump, so Cameron is attempting to walk a very fine line of not doing or saying anything that would sour his benefactors during Cameron's expected run for Governor (Cameron hasn't officially announced yet but he's the expected leading candidate.) Cameron was also one of my wife's proteges when they worked at the same law firm here in Louisville.) It'll be interesting to see which way Cameron will eventually be forced to lean when he makes his run for Governor official.

In the original Constitution, Senators were appointed by the State Legislature by ANY MEANS that they chose. And presumably, they served at the pleasure of the State Legislature, and they could be removed by the State Legislature.
Going to elected Senators was a HUGE, massive distortion of our Constitution. The Senators were indended to represent their STATES, and not the people. The people are represented in the House.
Now we have Senators who are essentially in for life once elected twice. That's wrong.

My only comfort is that McConnell is mortal and the Almighty will eventually take care of him as He took care of Ted Kennedy, John McCain, Harry Reid, and Exalted Cyclops Robert Byrd.

MItch McConnell and Nancy Pelosi have so much in common.
They both believe in punishing conservative Republicans for acting like conservative Republicans. McConnell and Pelosi both hate conservative Republicans for pretty much all the same reasons!!!
