Over US Days Before Blinken Trip to Beijing

Days before Secretary of State Antony Blinken is scheduled to arrive in Beijing on Sunday, Communist China President Xi Jinping disrespected Blinken and Joe Biden by sending a giant spy balloon over the Northwest United States this week where it was spotted by a civilian on Wednesday and caused the Billings airport to shut down for several hours.(Photo/Tweet) Video shot Wednesday by Montana resident John Martin: (Tweet/Video) Martin followed-up by noting the Billing airport was shut down for about two hours Wednesday:

Lots of military training goes on low level and maneuver areas in Montana and South Dakota. The Chinese are probably observing and recording weapons tactics and defensive maneuvers with HD cameras in preparation for a Taiwan showdown. B-52 B-1 and maybe B-2 ops. Also detecting locations of nuclear missile silos in ND SD and Montana. Biden is selling secrets for free by allowing them to observe our military capability.

How do we know this "spy balloon" doesn't have a nuclear weapon onboard? One good-sized blast, high above us, as the balloon is, would take out electronics across the entire nation, including those on military bases. It's ridiculous that we didn't shoot it down before it came into our air space.

FTA: "where it was spotted by a civilian on Wednesday" interesting. We didn't see this thing until it was spotted somewhere over the Billings area. Where was this thing launched? If it floated it's way from China how is it nobody saw it until it made its way to Montana? Or is it more likely that a military surveillance act was launched from our own soil or perhaps Canada? Is that not an act of war? Shoot the damned thing down, this is war. Try to pierce it and bring it down gently for analysis but bring it down now. Hey Elon what you up to today, got a minute?

From the video, it's hard to tell if there was any payload attached to that balloon in order to spy on anything. It looked more like a weather balloon with no means of control except the winds. So, if it was a spy balloon, it was a pretty weak attempt. The Japanese tried the same thing in WWII by flying balloons with explosives attached to them to try and explode them over U.S. cities. I don't think that worked out very well either.

The Biden crew is so full of crap by claiming that if they were to shoot down the Chinese Communist surveillance balloon over the State of Montana that it might endanger US citizens on the ground. Montana is an ultra rural State with a very small population where you can drive for many miles without ever come across another person. It’s much more likely that the balloon would land in the Little Big Horn National Battlefield then land on any people.

Another loser defense official, “Currently, we assess that this balloon has limited additive value from an intelligence collection perspective. But we are taking steps nevertheless to protect against foreign intelligence collection of sensitive information,” the defense official said. The CCP collects and tracks data on their domestic population of over 1 billion people. But, no worries. It's just a signals capturing project. Don't worry, they can't do anything with it. This is why our nation is doomed. The theater of fighting back from the brink is entertaining, but we passed the tipping point long ago.

Anybody remember Gary Powers and the U-2 spy plane incident? Late 50's cold war era. We were flying high altitude planes over Russia until one was shot down. Russia rubbed our noses in it by putting Powers and the remaining parts on display for the world. It should be shot down, or somehow captured, and put on display. Maybe some people will wake up to the danger. The government didn't even tell us about the incendiary balloons Japan was dropping on us in WW II.

I knew Blinken would find a way to chicken out of this trip and China provided him with a lifeboat. This inept administration is good at two things, avoiding conflict with countries who are walking all over us and lording it over the American people, the ones who pay their salaries. If Blinkin' had any cojones [pause for mass expression of derision] - the trip would be off. Instead, he will go furrow his brow in public and grovel in private. As #28 said, there is effectively ZERO chance of this hitting anyone on the ground if it were to be shot down. We are leaving it up there - and it is more than a simple, drifting "balloon," but clearly an airship which can maneuver as commanded - because we choose to permit it to continue its mission. How can this be less than treason?

I think #17 has a point. It would not be beyond the Chicom's to have the balloon loaded with a new strain of Covid, made JUST FOR US and very deadly! It could be dispensing that Virus a bit at a time. Let's see if an outbreak happens downwind of the Balloon in a few days/weeks. If that is what the Chicoms are doing it's an ACT OF WAR, just like the first round of Covid when they sent their Wuhan infected ALL OVER THE WORLD but no one from Wuhan could go anywhere else inside CHINA...that to me was the intentional spreading of the Virus! Of course Joey Perv Biden wouldn't do a thing!

Is there anyone watching the store? The idiot we have at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave seems to think it’s okay for an enemy of the State to fly whatever over our country. I have a question for the guys in the clown car that are tasked to protect us from evil. What if this spy balloon is loaded with an EMP devise that can render all things that need a computer chip to run, DOA? In less than 30 days, most of the former USA ill be back to the ‘Stone Age.’ Not many will survive the attack. But that’s okay, we’ll just keep an eye it, so when it does go off, we will know who to blame. Or an aero spraying system to spray the bread basket of our country with some deadly pathogen that would affect our crop yields, or worse yet, kills all plant life that comes in contact with the pathogen? And don’t forget boys and girls, this enemy craft can be carrying the military grade CV19 that WILL kill everyone that comes in contact with it. So, the Jacka**es in DC see no down side to this insanity? Either this administration fixes this debacle now, before we end up back in the 17th century, or our military take matters into their own hands, and shoot it down. Or have our military gone completely ‘WOKE?’ MSgt USAF (ret)

Montana is famed for its empty plains, wild river canyons and its status as home to one of the nation's three publicly known large-scale nuclear missile silos. So when a suspected Chinese spy balloon was spotted loitering in the air of the 'big sky state' it was not long before analysts suggested its most likely target: Malmstrom Air Force Base, which has been dubbed America's 'doomsday' base. 'Montana plays a vital national security role by housing nuclear missile silos at Malmstrom AFB,' state senator Steve Daines wrote in a letter to the Pentagon, raising the alarm on Thursday. Its location in the west of the country meant the air base was marked out in the 1950s

Former Pentagon officials have been left scratching their heads by the Biden administration's decision not to neutralize a Chinese spy balloon floating over U.S. mainland.  David Stillwell, who served as Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs under the Trump administration, told the balloon was likely form of mind game by Beijing ahead of the meeting between Sec. Antony Blinken and Chinese President Xi Jinping.  'This demonstrates a common tactic by Beijing to test others before important meetings.' He noted that in 2007 the Chinese shot an anti-satellite weapon before then-Defense Sec. Robert Gates arrived in the nation. The U.S. didn't cancel, but 'should have,' Stillwell said.

Yes, he actually said that with a straight face. “We’ve spent a lot of time with [Hunter Biden’s] laptop … and there isn’t much that ties the President to any wrongdoing, which I think has got to be the focus in order to be relevant” said Viser. WATCH: (Tweet/Video) I guess Viser isn’t aware of the many mutual business dealings that Hunter had with his father? Or the “10% to the big guy”?

Just when we were starting to really like Kevin McCarthy he defends the cold-blooded killer who shot Ashli Babbitt dead in the US Capitol. During questioning on Thursday, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy was asked if he thought Ashli Babbitt was murdered by Officer Mike Byrd? McCarthy answered the reported, “I think the officer was doing his job.” Apparently, shooting a 100-pound female Trump supporter in the neck without warning is “doing his job.”

Trump's line of attack on DeSantis is
uncharacteristically stupid

Donald Trump is not stupid. His opponents have always underestimated him because of the colloquial way he talks–sounding vastly different than most people in the highly educated class. Not sounding educated, they assume he isn’t and by extension isn’t smart. But in recent weeks Trump has been acting as if he is stupid, and I have to say I am surprised. Trump has been attacking Ron DeSantis on the COVID lockdown issue, arguing that the governor’s reputation as a freedom fighter is unearned. Trump even implies that DeSantis was something of a COVID fascist, while Trump himself was fighting to reopen the American economy. That is a profoundly stupid line of attack.
