During their joint appearance at the forum, both Manchin and Sinema reiterated their support for the filibuster, a position that frequently drew ire from Democratic members of the Senate. The Biden Administration announced another record-setting month for migrant encounters along the U.S.-Mexico border. The report of nearly 252,000 migrant encounters came in a Friday-night after-hours news dump. This represents the largest single-month report in U.S. history.

A CNN reporter claimed Thursday that government employees mishandle classified documents and materials “every day” and that many of the instances are “completely accidental” in the wake of the Biden administration’s classified documents debacle.
