For Hollywood, 2022 was truly an annus horribilis.
Major studios, streamers, cable providers, and other media giants lost a combined $542 billion in market value in 2022, with left-wing studios the Walt Disney Co., Netflix, and Comcast accounting for the bulk of the bloodshed.
The Dow Jones Media Titans index, which tracks the performance of 30 of the world’s biggest media companies, shed 40 percent this year, with its total market value declining from $1.35 trillion to $808 billion, according to a Financial Times report.
The losses outpaced indices for other sectors, including banking, which saw a 14.5 percent drop for the year, and telecommunications, which fell by 11.2 percent.

Hollywood...push foul, depraved, and slatternly behaviour as normal and even desirable, then notice the negative financial results. It has been years since I set foot in a movie theater. Disney now endorses homosexuality even in cartoon characters. I don't think that is what the public wants. Maybe Democrat activists, yes; for most people, no.

Only problem being Nancy and Paul (and a guy with a hammer, according to undisclosed sources) had insider information, sold short and made off with another bundle.

It's not just Disney. Every network has lost money as well with viewership dropping off as well. Attempting to cram all the woke BS down the throat of viewers just results in fewer people watching and the loss of advertising revenue.

More good news with the worst of the in-your-face wokesters, perverts, vulgar content and all-black-all-the-time producers suffering the worst. My money wasn't included in that total because I stopped watching their garbage twenty years ago when it was still relatively mild.

They need to star Meghan and Harry in some big money movie where they complain from start to finish about how life has treated them, that will surely do the trick for Hollywood market value!

Yes, Maverick Top Gun did well telling about an American military person succeeding against all odds. By contrast you have Avatar about an environmentally perfect group of beings living in unity with their animals being attacked by evil American, highly mechanically destroying and attacking these beings and their world. People saw the last episode and thought, ya, OK, that's enough of that, I don't need to see it again.

Has wokeness crested yet? It's infested a huge portion of the media. My wife has always enjoyed Hallmark movies - formulaic and feel-good. Now an increasing portion of them feature woke content. Even though she's more tolerant than I am, she immediately switches off when two guys start making eyes or kissing each other (they ought to have a gay content advisory). Soon it'll be gone from our channel lineup.

Sorry Hollyweird but when you tell me as a Christian Black Conservative straight man that I'm nothing but a Bible thumping, White Nationalist in Blackface, racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, transphobic, Q Anon loving, misogynistic, election denying, ignorant, smelly, Walmart shopping, critical racist theory non-having, science denying, 2 genders believing, fossil fuel using, truck driving, gun toting, keep perverts away from children having, clueless, fly over country rube then you richly deserve everything you get. Like the old saying goes go woke, lose your shirt bigly.

I quit watching television back in the late 90’s and have only been to two movies in a theater in the last 10 years - Downton Abbey 1 and 2. I watched the series itself on my iPad, streaming it from the BBC. I know that the BBC is going woke too but some of their older productions are worth watching.

Good, they can afford it. I certainly contributed to their losses. They could recoup their losses by stopping producing such trash and start promoting patriotism and good old Americanism.
So spake me.

I watched "League of Super-Pets" this Christmas, and it was awful. I've been wanting to see animated DC superheroes in theaters for ages...and this tripe is what makes it finally happen? Krypto the superdog gets a movie, and it's this superpowered ripoff of "The Life of Pets" with Maui's personality grafted on to Krypto. I kept wondering who the movie is for. For kids, there's poop and pee jokes galore. For adults, there's sexual references (Krypto nonchalantly talks about not getting to be in the bedroom when Lois "stays over." In a kids show.) Hollywood doesn't know how to make stuff for kids without an agenda. (It's brief, but another dog talks about her owner getting engaged and we see two women nearby.) This isn't a movie I'd feel good about showing a kid. That's messed up.

Are they blaming it on Trump?

When they started allowing their stars to insult the paying audiences, the slide down to bankruptcy started for real. Most of us won't pay for the privilege of being insulted by overpaid morons with low IQs. But they have an even bigger problem. They are pushing the foulest of filth on audiences, and they need to realize enough is enough.
