Cops pitch in to help family after Tennessee
Grinch steals kids’ Christmas presents,

Police in a Tennessee city showed the true holiday spirit as well as outstanding service to their community when they pitched in to replace a child’s gifts after a human Grinch stole them and then set the family’s Christmas tree ablaze. Earlier this week, the Dyersburg Police Department said on Facebook that they had arrested a man after they responded to a call at a local apartment complex where the suspect was observed purloining the presents by an observant neighbor, also torching the tree in an act that reportedly stemmed from an “altercation” between the perp and the victim that took place prior to the incident.

Comments:

I hope someone helped with a new tree as well. And beat the crap out of the Grinch who torched it!!

It may not seem to be in the Christmas Spirit, perhaps, but crucifying the thug would not be out of order. When you ask, "What would Jesus do?", remember that knocking over tables and thrashing thugs is one of the answers to that question.

One of my favorite people is a friend who was the oldest of 14. Her mother had died in childbirth with the 14th baby, so this teenager had a lot of responsibility. That next Christmas after losing their mom, their house burned down due to a Christmas tree fire. She is an amazing person! I hope this family will be as resilient.

I'm gonna hazard a guess...This "Acquaintance" was a current, former, or aspiring "Romantic Partner", had purchased the presents, and likely the tree, when his expectations of "Gratitude" were not forthcoming he took it badly, was he a total jerk that had been given the heave-ho just prior to Christmas? Or was he catfished and misled by a gold digger?. The presents he removed to his car...where they the ones HE bought, the ones burned, were they bought by another one of her Flames? He did it, should and will pay the butchers bill...buuuut...what led up to this?

From the Gospel According to Luke, Chapter 2, Verses 1 through 20: And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Cæsar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed. (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.) And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city. And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judæa, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David). To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.

If you live in the United States, chances are you have probably encountered a Salvation Army volunteer ringing a bell outside of a supermarket. Dressed in red, standing alongside a donation pail hanging from a chain, Salvation Army volunteers are a sign Christmas is near and a great reminder it’s always better to give than to receive. Most volunteers are only known to their communities and are rarely known on the world stage. But that wasn’t the case outside of a Publix in North Tampa, Florida. Super Bowl champion head coach for the Indianapolis Colts Tony Dungy was spotted by several football fans ringing bells for charity.

Once again, Americans rank Christmas as their favorite holiday, and half of U.S. adults plan to attend religious services this season, a Rasmussen Reports poll found. Sixty percent of 1,100 American adults polled between Dec. 19-21 say Christmas is one of our nation’s most important holidays, up from 59 percent in 2021. The margin of sampling error is ±3 percentage points with a 95 percent level of confidence. “Christmas has consistently been rated the most important holiday by Americans, usually followed by the Fourth of July and Thanksgiving. This year, however, Veterans Day jumped into second place,” the poll report states.

I have many pagan, atheist, or agnostic friends who bypass Christmas, dismissing it as a commercial and religious quagmire in which they would rather not partake. But when December 21 (or whichever date is designated as the precise time) rolls around, they are big on the Winter Solstice wishes, rituals, and festivals. The Winter Solstice, also known as “Yule,” is a celebration of the sun, renewal, rebirth, and the continuation of life. It is the shortest day and the longest night of the year. Yule has been considered the “Festival of Light,” or “The Festival of the Sun,” as it celebrates the return of the sun

Let me suggest you read Oliver Cromwell’s speech to the rump Parliament of April 20, 1653. I can’t reproduce all of it in this article, but here are a few choice selections: “Ye are a factious crew, and enemies of all good government…Is there a single virtue now remaining amongst you? Is there not one vice you do not possess?...Ye have no more religion than my horse. Gold is your God…Ye are grown intolerably odious to the whole nation. You [who] were deputed here by the people to get grievances redressed are yourselves become the greatest grievance…Go, get you out! Make haste! Ye venal slaves, be gone!...

The NORAD Santa Tracker has been activated as the jolly old elf soars over rooftops and chimneys in the eastern hemisphere, where Christmas Eve is already in full swing. The North American Aerospace Defense Command’s high-tech monitoring tool has added a modern tradition to countless households, as families show the young ‘uns exactly where Saint Nick and his team of reindeer are flying. And it also times out perfectly (at least where we live) for parents to be able to hasten the children to bed. All the adult needs to do is point to the screen and say, “Uh oh, Santa’s already in Florida! He’ll be here soon!

On Thursday, the Florida Supreme Court gave the go-ahead to a request by Gov. Ron DeSantis to impanel a statewide grand jury to investigate potential wrongdoings related to COVID-19 vaccines. The Tampa Bay Times reported that Hillsborough County Circuit Judge Ronald Ficarrotta will preside, with members to be selected from five judicial districts. DeSantis made the initial request on the 13th of this month, stating at the time that “there are good and sufficient reasons to deem it to be in the public interest to impanel a statewide grand jury to investigate criminal or wrongful activity in Florida relating to the development, promotion, and distribution of vaccines

Add yet another government overreach to the “Things You Didn’t Think Could Happen in America” file: Democrats on the lame-duck House and Ways and Means Committee voted Tuesday to release six years of former President Donald Trump’s tax returns. Why? Because they um, uh—because they want to? But wait, you say to yourself, that’s not possible; your tax returns are private by federal law, and therefore protected from release. The Dems of course found a sleazy way around that. The tax code allows the committee to look at people’s tax returns to provide “oversight” of the Internal Revenue Service, and by writing an official report on their findings,

President Joe Biden’s administration reportedly failed to send National Guard troops their final paycheck of the year during the week of Christmas, according to a letter sent to troops obtained by The Post Millennial. The National Guard troops’ paychecks were disrupted due to congressional drama surrounding the $1.7 trillion omnibus spending bill that Congress recently approved. After weeks of negotiation, Congress came to a deal on the omnibus spending package. Included in the spending bill is, among other things, a $45 billion aid package for Ukraine. The $45 billion is on top of the $66 billion taxpayer dollars that have already been used to fund Ukrainian aid.

I wrote about one actor with a little common sense earlier, Dean Cain. He isn’t afraid to state the simple truth that men are not girls. Unfortunately, common sense and the courage to use it publicly seem a quality in short supply in Hollywood, which seems more dominated by liberals who go along with whatever the prevailing narrative is. Instead, it’s more common to see liberal false narratives pushed, as was the case with what Bette Midler tweeted about Kyle Rittenhouse on Friday. [Tweet] Let’s start with: it’s not clear that is even Rittenhouse. But, that didn’t slow down Midler’s effort to attack. So much of the liberal establishment is truly ignorant
