Why reparations now?

Original Article

Posted By: DW626, 12/19/2022 5:47:52 AM

The absurdity of the concept of reparations for slavery, an institution that ended several generations ago, is beyond mind-boggling. But there’s a blatantly cynical reason for the sudden lurch in that direction: formerly reliable Black voters are now slipping away from the Democrats. This also explains Biden’s recently expressed profuse generosity towards the nations of sub-Saharan Africa. What is also painfully obvious is the lame, demagogic pandering that is the Democrats’ knee-jerk response, especially to a defecting constituency: just throw money at them and that’ll keep ‘em on the reservation.

Call their bluff. They get reparations if they agree to the following: 1. No more affirmative action. 2. No more quotas or firsts. 3. No more accusations of victimhood. 4. No more entitlement programs.

Once they get their shakedown money, they exceed income thresholds for welfare, Medicaid, TANF, Section 8 housing, so they are liberated from government slavery.

Its not just reparations or their timing. Just the demand represents an attitude, a world view that is unAmerican, divisive, unjust and most of all harmful for all Americans. Believe it or not blacks - the supposed recipients will be hurt the most in the long run. All this makes sense, yet why do people demand it? Disturbingly large percentage find it justifiable. That is the big problem.

Buying votes is always in style. This reparations boondoggle will never be implemented because the amount of money needed to supply every black person with a couple of hundred thousand dollars does not exist. Since Green is Number One, they will never see this bigger and better government check but the anticipation alone will keep them voting democrat. Mission accomplished. It worked for Obama, it's working for Biden and it will work for the next democrat fraudster to run for POTUS.

We have had 60 years of affirmative action, 150 years of welfare payments, 60 years of preference in hiring and black privilege. A one time reparation settle-up package would be a great bargain for the taxpayer, the final payment, everything else final.

Paying Reparations 150+ years after the fact makes no sense at all. Taking money from people who never owned slaves to pay people who never were slaves is only an excuse for using one injustice to inflict another injustice. To carry this to total absurdity, some black African nations want to get paid reparations. In this case, the descendents of those who captured and sold other blacks as slaves claim they should be deserve reparations because of the injustice their ancestors inflicted on these other blacks. That is up there with the person who kills his parents and then claims mercy from the court because he is an orphan.

Because (1) the world had gone crazy, (2) now is the time to push through any and all leftist initiatives because of #1, and (3) conservatives are being pushed into a corner and will eventually respond accordingly. After that, idiot ideas like reparations won't stand a chance of passing.

The vast majority of Americans today, probably up about 99% had nothing to do with old Southern Black slavery era that was ended over 150 years ago following the Civil War. There never were Black slaves in California. The leftist Democrat California reparations movement, to buy some low information Black folks votes, that historically have gone to the liberal Democrats anyway, by going along with such reparations, are risking a massive backlash from the people who actually do pay taxes, and through higher State taxes will be expected to fund those supposedly coming reparations.

The unlawfully constituted and conducted January 6 Committee referred Donald Trump for a criminal indictment to keep him from running again in 2024. The problem for the Democrats, unfamiliar as they are with the Constitution and with American history, is that there is no reason for Trump not to run and win, even if he’s deep in the bowels of Leavenworth or some other federal penitentiary. The United States Constitution is succinct when it comes to the requirements for president. Article II, Section 1 provides:

But what happens when government not only fails to perform as expected, but its execution is inept to the point of being an embarrassment? After leaving SNL, he’s had a decent Hollywood career, although he hasn’t had the fame his pal Adam Sandler has enjoyed. I hope, though, that Schneider will be remembered for something else. In a Twitter thread, he expressed his love for America and her constitutional values, especially when arrayed against the mindless emotionalism and techno-fascism that now threatens those values.

Given the FBI and CIA social media shenanigans that have recently come to light through the Twitter files that new owner Elon Musk has allowed to be released, it appears that Trump’s instincts regarding the “intelligence community” were correct.
