The FBI on Wednesday finally broke its silence and responded to the revelations on Twitter of close ties between the bureau and the social media giant—ties that included efforts to suppress information and censor political speech. “The correspondence between the FBI and Twitter show nothing more than examples of our traditional, longstanding and ongoing federal government and private sector engagements, which involve numerous companies over multiple sectors and industries,” the bureau said in a statement. “As evidenced in the correspondence, the FBI provides critical information to the private sector in an effort to allow them to protect themselves and their customers. I love to listen to old time radio. I just finished hearing an episode with Dana Andrews in "I was a Communist for the FBI." As I listened to the agents going on about truth and patriotism of their fellow undercover agent, Matt Cvetic I couldn't help but think of today's FBI. Which I really think is populated my more Communists than Patriots. Today, FBI agents spy on an American president, plant evidence and lie under oath. They surveil American parents who object to perverted history and obscene material being provided to their small kids. They entrap ordinary American's in kidnapping plots and they infiltrate and instigate and participate in a riot and then implicate others. They arrest innocent people, imprison them, trample their Constitutional rights violating every law on the books. Just about every institution that I believed in my entire life has been upended. "Fidelity, Bravery, Integrity," is now a joke. Only hope that I am around to see these traitors, and all of the others involved, brought to justice.

Once again, an article laying out all the corruption but very thin on any solution. Are we all just to sit back and hope the good guys prevail? That seems very risky if you ask me. If good men do not come together and stand up and demand accountability, nothing changes. The bad guys will still have jobs on liberal media outlets proclaiming their innocence and denouncing Trump for inciting an insurrection that they and their buddies with the enabling of Nancy Pelosi are trying to pin on President Trump knowing that he is innocent. The criminals skate, the innocent are persecuted and the country is destroyed. When is our side going to have someone to stand up and defend us and point a accusing finger at the actual perpetrators of treason? VDH has the facts straight. Does he fear offering a solution or does he know there is none?

Poor Kamala Harris. The press refuses to focus on “the strength of my leadership,” as the veep puts it, denying her the attention she deserves. OK, we’ll give you a minute to stop laughing. Harris has made zero progress on her top priority — stopping the flood of migrants rushing the border, supposedly by addressing “root causes” in their native countries — yet apparently she thinks she’s been an important leader in other ways. Such as her role at the Munich Security Conference in February just before Russia invaded Ukraine, as the Washington Post’s Jonathan Capehart bizarrely suggested. Trouble is, she did little there besides getting mocked for claiming Europe

GOP Can’t Be Successful Until Mitch

Comments Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell made on Tuesday show why he has become the single biggest obstacle to GOP success. The Kentucky Republican claimed giving more money to Ukraine is “the No. 1 priority for the United States right now, according to most Republicans.” The new $1.7 trillion Democrat spending bill he enthusiastically supports would give Ukraine another roughly $45 billion in assistance, bringing the total over the past eight months to more than $100 billion, a staggering figure even if it weren’t happening during a time of inflation, looming recession, and other serious domestic problems. The comment about Republican priorities is so false as to be completely delusional.

The life expectancy for the average U.S. citizen has hit a 25-year low, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Life expectancy for people born in the U.S. during 2021 stands at 76.4 years, the lowest on record since 1996. Life expectancy for those born in 2019 was 78.8 years — a drop of 2.4 years, according to CDC data. This marks a dramatic reversal from the steady growth in expected longevity of U.S. citizens for the past two decades. CDC officials blamed the drop on two factors — the COVID-19 pandemic and a rapidly growing epidemic of substance abuse and drug addiction.

"They are probing & pushing everywhere." That line sums up an increasingly alarming element in the seventh installment of the so-called "Twitter files." "They" were the agents of Federal Bureau of Investigation, and they were pushing for the censorship of citizens in an array of stories. Writer Michael Shellenberger added critical details on how the FBI was directly engaged in censorship at the company. However, this batch of documents contains a particularly menacing element to the FBI-Twitter censorship alliance. The documents show what writer Shellenberger described as a concentrated effort "to discredit leaked information about Hunter Biden before and after it was published."
The Jan. 6 Committee's Referral Is Unconstitutional 24 replies
Posted by Moritz55 12/21/2022 10:40:20 AM Post Reply
The Jan. 6 Committee has voted to refer former President Donald Trump to the Justice Department for possible criminal prosecution. This referral violates both the letter and spirit of the Constitution for at least two reasons. First, Article 1 of the Constitution grants Congress "all legislative powers" and only "legislative powers." Under our system of separation of powers, the power to prosecute lies exclusively with the executive branch through the justice department. Congress has no authority to refer specific individuals for prosecution. It is beyond the scope of its constitutional authority. Second, Congress is specifically denied the power to pass any "bill of attainder."

Abbott told "Jesse Watters Primetime" that Raddatz's claim that such messaging "reverberates in Mexico and beyond" while being acted upon by cartel smugglers is simply untrue. The midterm elections were closer than expected with Republicans seizing a slim majority in the House of Representatives and Democrats retaining narrow Senate control. That presents an opportunity for the GOP if it plays it right. Although the widely anticipated “red wave” didn’t materialize, the political and economic situation is the same. The Biden administration has no effective plans to address record inflation or improve the economic outlook. Those fundamentals will continue to plague Biden and Washington Democrats, who appear to want to continue their progressive policies. The shift in House control provides an opportunity for the business community and the House GOP to work together to chart a new course.

The Dow Jones Media Titans index, which tracks the performance of 30 of the world’s biggest media companies, shed 40 percent this year, with its total market value declining from $1.35 trillion to $808 billion, according to a Financial Times report. The losses outpaced indices for other sectors, including banking, which saw a 14.5 percent drop for the year, and telecommunications, which fell by 11.2 percent.
