The Republican Party theoretically sits in a position of strength on government funding thanks to winning control of the House last month. But one man stands in the way of exercising this new-found leverage: Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.
The logical move by Republicans is to unite on a short-term funding bill for a few months. This gives the Republican House next year an opportunity to rein in the Biden Regime’s profligate spending which has driven up inflation and the deficit.

Much more inflation will be the result of all that "new spending".
MUCH MORE.

McConnell has rightly figured out to do exactly what he wants and not a doggone thing WTP can do about it. He's happy, Dems are happy, all the right pockets filled, and palms greased. He's good to go.

Remember, Ronald Reagan was originally a Democrat and he left that party because in his words the party left him. The Republican Party as left most of its base and has joined forces by adapting the ideology and goals of the Democrats. Where does that leave many of us? Unlike Reagan, I cannot bring myself to join the opposing party (Democrats) but like Reagan I can no longer support, the GOP, because the fact is the GOP does not want me or any Conservatives in it, Conservatives that support and cling to the GOP are the embodiment of the definition of Insanity.

I seem to recall Obama worked out a deal with the GOP to extend the budget for the last 2 years of his 2nd term simply to not have to deal with any of those issues (he never dealt with any budget issue his whole 8 years since it was all CR's).
Besides, you aren't going to control any spending with these CR's and Omnibus bills, as they don't allow any mechanism to do anything. Congress has given up the idea of "controlling the purse" since Harry Reid started the CR process back in the last 2 years of W's presidency.
Once government finds a revenue source, they are never going to relinquish it, just look at the tariffs that Democrats complained about to attack Trump, but have kept during Biden without any mention of it being a problem.

The best way to go broke is to run up your credit cards and raise your credit limit, then run them up again and ask for another credit increase, over and over again. Pretty soon you will self inflict financial disaster on yourself. All of this is part of the UN Agenda 2030 to destroy the US as a financial superpower. Nice job Mitch.
You traitor and saboteur.

McConnell is not bending over the aisle alone. I just got an email from Senator SCornyn a few hours ago insisting that we must stop "kicking the can down the road" and spend it now so the next congress (some that we elected) don't have to do it. as far as I am concerned, this dead beat, dead duck, lame duck - whatever, congress has completely forfeited the right to pass ANY legislation and should be taking the place of the J^ prisoners.

Never forget that McConnell was voted Minority leader by all of the republican Senators just like McConnell was endorsed by President Trump and re-elected by the voters of Kentucky. We can blame McConnell till the sky falls for being a traitor, actively destroying our Republic, and being a closet Communist Death Democrat (he is) but he has been soiling the Senate for many decades and his record of conduct has been clear for all that time. The blame has to rest for the voters (us) and all of the people who endorsed him during his last re-election.
We have to stop voting for the lesser of two evils (in this case the republicans) because in the end we are still voting for Evil.
Write your Senator and urge him to vote McConnell out as Minority Leader. They won't listen but at least they were warned.

With McConnell and McCarthy at the helm the Republicans will have their 2 year majority in the House and lose it in the next election. There are not enough Republicans with the guts to get rid of them, especially in the Senate. It is just more proof of the utter rot in Washington.

He knows once republicans take the house spending will be curtailed and he needs to fill his PAC coffer to manipulate the 2024 elections so this bill is his last chance for a huge taxpayer laundered money payoff for both him and his money handler masters who will no doubt get the lions share as usual.

No where, from No. 1 thru to No. 20 did I ever see even the inkling of the solution to some of these problems would be the immediate institution of TERM LIMITS!!
Twelve years for Senators.
Ten years for the congress clicks.
And ten years for ALL of the legislative, (or whatever they change their title to)!!!

I do not want to hear ONE REPUBLICAN blame the democrats and the Biden regime for the staggering debt. At this point, our financial ruin rests squarely on the shoulders of Mitch McConnell, senator from the used to be republican state, Kentucky, that moron Kevin McCarthy, congressman from the great communinst state of California and the other JUDAS REPUBLICANS, the new name coined by singer John Rich last night on Tucker Carlson.
At this point our ruin lies squarely on the republicans' shoulders since none of them, with very few exceptions, aggressively renounced McConnell, McCarthy and the democrats on this sickeningly corrupt so-called omnibus bill that does not need to pass at all before the end of the year. Moreover, these same republicans are not voicing aggressively the sickening and country destroying antics going on at the border and the end of Title 42. Yeah, a couple here or there, huff and puff but do they demonstrate, close down the senate and the house? NO. But, the time has come. Our country is being destroyed every single day and the party of Lincoln shrugs its shoulders, asks for more money and to be re-elected so they can continue to huff and puff and shrug their shoulders and rake in the lobbyist dollars and ride in private jets. What will it take to get rid of these people?
