In a letter to White House Chief of Staff and Assistant to the President Ron Klain on Friday, House Republicans set to take control of the Judiciary Committee put a handful of President Joe Biden's senior aides on notice that they would be the subject of Republican oversight and expected to comply with requests for information and testimony. In their letter, Reps. Jim Jordan (R-OH), Louie Gohmert (R-TX), Ken Buck (R-CO), Steve Chabot (R-OH), Darrell Issa (R-CA), and Matt Gaetz (R-FL) explain they are, "again," looking "to obtain your voluntary compliance with the outstanding requests for documents and information necessary for our oversight" in the 118th Congress.

We’ve been covering the questions regarding Hunter Biden, the laptop, the foreign business dealings, and what it all has to do with Joe Biden for more than two years now. We saw CBS finally get around to acknowledging that the laptop was real, catching up to us after two years. But as we noted, it means it’s getting harder for them to spin away from the truth now. My colleague Streiff thinks that it might be an intentional effort to let Joe Biden know what he’s going to be hit with if he doesn’t step aside for another Democrat in 2024.

Former President Donald Trump could stand to lose millions of dollars if he succumbs to temptation and resumes communicating with the masses through Twitter now that new boss Elon Musk reinstated his account. Despite Musk’s apparent attempts to goad Trump into tweeting again, Trump has insisted that he is content to stay put at his own social media platform, Truth Social, which he founded after he was banned by mainstream tech platforms last year. The reinstatement of Trump’s Twitter account comes at a pivotal juncture for the 45th president, who recently announced his intention to run again for the White House

The survey found Americans desiring the House to take a series of actions — some of which could happen with Republicans taking over the lower chamber.  Nearly two-thirds, 65 percent, agree that the House should investigate the “Hunter Biden laptop,” specifically. Further, 71 percent said the House should “investigate the origins” of the Chinese coronavirus, and 77 percent believe the House should “investigate the FBI and whether politics has been playing a role in its actions.”

Did the United States suddenly become a socialist basket case? It’s hard not to come to that conclusion after reading about the endless shortages plaguing the nation. While Biden was busy draining the Strategic Petroleum Reserve to tamp down gas prices before the midterm elections, the real worry was that supplies of diesel fuel have been running short. Two years after the short-lived COVID lockdowns ended, diesel inventories continued to trend downward

Mannequins used to practice life-saving CPR aren't diverse enough, doctors have claimed. Researchers want to ditch the reliance on default 'lean white male' models. Doing so will help overcome 'bias' among bystanders and help improve the survival of other groups, they say. This, the team claim, would be done by 'changing the perception of sudden cardiac death' — meaning people recognise it doesn't just happen to white men. Academics from Canada and Argentina found fewer than 10 per cent of mannequins used to promote CPR on social media represented black or Asian people. None were of pregnant women and barely any were of fat people, according to the study.

Kumar appeared as a guest host on MSNBC’s "Velshi," where a panel discussed former President Trump’s effect on the Republican Party. The discussion soon focused on DeSantis as a kind of successor to "Trumpism" for his rise in popularity However, Kumar claimed that his success, even in the state of Florida, is due not to DeSantis’ record as governor, but because he "gerrymandered" the state.
