During an interview with FNC’s “Your World” on Thursday, Sen. Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV) pledged her support for Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY).
McConnell’s hold on his leadership post has come into question as Republicans seemingly underperformed in this week’s midterm elections.
Partial transcript as follows:
NEIL CAVUTO, HOST FNC’s “YOUR WORLD”: When you and your fellow senators do regroup, Senator, is it too early to start talking about who should be your leader?
Mitch McConnell’s name comes up, that he would be a good Senate majority leader if you got the majority. Donald Trump has made it clear Rick Scott,

So she has signed up for the evil side.

Everyone hates on McConnell, apparently forgetting (or showing a Trump-like concept of loyalty) that McConnell saved Trump's miserable backside after the Jan. 6 debacle. After impeachment passed the House, he could easily have said, "He has abused his office and needs to be impeached", and the Dems would have had enough votes to convict and preclude his ever running again. So before you trash the man, remember that without him, there would be even less chance than there is now of a second Trump term.

To be very clear - If either McConnell or McCarthy are returned as leaders of the republicans in Congress, I am done with the republican party of which I have been a registered member for most of my life. I will not participate ever again in voting for candidates who betray us after every single stinking election and have skated into office because they are the "lesser of two evils" which means in the end that I am voting for evil. We republicans are guilty of voting the same way again and again which leads to failure and expecting a different result. No More.
McConnell
McCarthy
McDaniel
They killed us and are killing or country.
Only here Florida are the republicans doing the right thing.

It's a shame that none of the DC elites (in either party) are in America's camp.

Capito comes from a long line of corrupt politicians. Her father, ex-WV governor Arch Moore was convicted of mail fraud, tax fraud, extortion, and obstruction of justice. Great governor, but totally corrupt. Her son is a state legislator and a political weasel. .Her nephew Riley Moore, is WV state treasurer and is using that as a stepping stone to bigger things. He was a vice president of the left wing Podesta Group in DC and regularly lobbied Congress on behalf of former Ukranian president Viktor Yanukovych.
They're the WV version of the Bush/Kennedy family.

Can't get a reservation at a good manhatten or DC restaurant if they were seen cutting Trump a break on TV.
This is a coordinated, day by day, full court press on Trump by the GOPe.
Wish he Rush to help, but he's gonna have to break the press and sink the free throws himself.

Of course the RINO is for Mitch "MultiUseless" McConnell. Oh BTW, she voted to confirm Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro "Monster" Mayorkas" :
February, 2021
"The Senate voted 56 to 43 to confirm Mayorkas. Six GOP members voted with the Democrats: Mitt Romney (Utah), Susan Collins (Maine), Lisa Murkowski (Alaska), Rob Portman (Ohio), Shelley Moore Capito (West Virginia) and Dan Sullivan (Alaska)."

Well Shelley old girl I suppose it's wise to make your feeling about the turtle known, since he more than likely will be selected, but as a supposed representative of the people, maybe you should think on that.
Mitch needs to find a new office somewhere in the basement near a bathroom.
He doesn't belong in the office of the Majority leader.

The old chestnut about insanity being a repetition of doing the same thing over and over, expecting each time a different result comes to mind. McConnell is the leader of the Republicans in the Senate. He lost the Senate in 2020 and, so far, has failed to regain it in 2022.
President Trump is not responsible for these losses. McConnell and his close advisers are. Any rational senator should realize McConnell has to go. I guess Capito is insane.

The monolithic MSM managed to frame the midterms as a referendum on Trump, which swung a lot of independents Leftward. It should have been a referendum on Chairman Joe, instead.
"Mitch McConnell’s name comes up, that he would be a good Senate majority leader if you got the majority."
Nice miss, Neil. It's not a theoretical thing; the Turtle has been Majority Leader before, and he's demonstrated pretty clearly that he knows only how to be Minority Leader. And maybe that helps explain his seemingly-panicked drawing back from supporting some swing-state candidates around a month before the election.
