Lee Zeldin’s Bid for New York Governor
Created Wins for Republicans Across the
Empire State

Despite Lee Zeldin’s bid to unseat incumbent New York Democrat Gov. Kathy Hochul being unsuccessful, the Republican’s candidacy created significant inroads for other GOP candidates across the Empire State, and could turn out to be the unsung savior of the House majority. Zeldin, who conceded to Hochul on Wednesday after running one of the closest gubernatorial races in New York in 20 years, acknowledged his success in helping other Republicans win in the Empire State — which amounted to 11 House seats for the GOP, including flipping the one held by Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) Chair Rep. Sean Maloney (D-NY).

Imagine if Republicans fielded aggressive candidates in every state. Maybe some places would not be so ''blue'' - there would be a good reason for conservative voters to come out to the polls and cast ballots up and down the ticket.

Zeldon would be an awesome governor. Hochul will keep things the same and deny there is any crime to worry about as she marches around with an army of guards and secret service.

With the House race remaining uncalled, discussions have emerged on both sides of the aisle regarding who should be the next speaker. On the right, the discussions have naturally centered largely around current House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, a Republican. But on the left, the discussions have centered around someone else altogether — outgoing Rep. Liz Cheney, also a Republican, albeit one who just got voted out of office this election cycle (not that House rules require the speaker to be in Congress). The idea appears to be the brainchild of Jennifer Rubin, a Washington Post columnist who for most of her career was a staunch Republican, but who completely flipped positions

The Hill is out with a column from an apparent left-winger who’s proposed that President Joe Biden make California Gov. Gavin Newsom the president. According to Douglas MacKinnon, a political and communications consultant who worked in the Reagan, H.W. Bush, and Bush administrations, all it’d take is for Biden to pull off some bizarre, potentially unconstitutional shenanigans. “In one scenario, Biden could ask [Vice President Kamala] Harris to resign and replace her with Newsom, who then becomes the heir apparent for 2024.

On Tuesday morning, The Gateway Pundit reported that when polls opened in Maricopa County at 6 am on Election Day, voters were told that the tabulators were not working. This was happening across Maricopa County and resulted in long lines and voters being told to go to another location to vote. Katie Hobbs is the current Secretary of State in charge of elections. Instead of tabulating their ballot directly, voters were also told to put their ballot into a box under the tabulator so that their ballot may be tabulated at a later time

Is the gubernatorial race in Arizona over? Not quite, but the fat lady is warming up. After four straight days of promises from certain analysts that heavy Republican ballot drops were going to arrive and save the day, Sunday’s results were again underwhelming. While Republican Kari Lake did win the overall vote in the Maricopa County (the largest and most important) batch, it wasn’t by the margin she needed to eliminate the gap. (Tweet) When you look at the outstanding ballots, it’s very unlikely that enough votes for Lake exist to put her over the top. Deep blue Pima County still has 38,000 left while Maricopa County has 94,000.

Republican Lori Chavez-DeRemer won a critical U.S. House seat in Oregon necessary to win the majority over Democrats. Called by the Associated Press on Sunday, Chavez-DeRemer won her race in Oregon’s 5th U.S. Congressional District, beating out Democrat Jamie McLeod-Skinner. Per the Associated Press (AP): Chavez-DeRemer’s victory makes her the first Latina congresswoman from Oregon, a distinction also sought by 6th District Democratic candidate Andrew Salinas. That race remained too early to call. The district was previously held for seven terms by moderate Democrat Rep. Kurt Schrader and was targeted by the GOP, which saw the 5th as vulnerable after the long-time incumbent’s primary defeat

The advent of alternative media has created a whole new world when it comes to disseminating information. But not everyone is happy about this – particularly members of the activist media. Elon Musk ruffled more than a few feathers when he took over social media company Twitter. But when he tweeted about his vision of making the platform friendlier towards average citizens participating in journalism, at least some members of the once-vaunted fourth estate took umbrage. On Friday, Musk tweeted: As Twitter pursues the goal of elevating citizen journalism, media elite will try everything to stop that from happening.

With the ruling D.C. establishment having successfully beaten back the midterm election challenges to their unchecked power by congressional candidates who were supported by former President Donald J. Trump, the job now turns to snuffing out the MAGA movement and, in the eyes of many, two former leaders with much in common will be spearheading the effort. Two of Trump’s fellow White House alumni Barack Obama and George W. Bush will be holding back-to-back “democracy” conferences following the expected announcement that he will be officially declaring a 2024 presidential run, something that the corrupt uniparty appears to be determined to prevent at all costs.

PHILADELPHIA—Call it “the White Wave.” A flood of white envelopes containing mail-in ballots lofted Democrat candidates to victories in several key Nov. 8 races. Case in point: Democrat John Fetterman will occupy Pennsylvania’s coveted U.S. Senate seat instead of Republican Dr. Mehmet Oz. In that race—and several others—mail-in ballots acted as a breaker against the “Red Wave” of wins that Republican leaders had hoped would wash across the nation at a time when Congress and the White House are both Democrat-controlled.

Then, like most liberals this week, he suggested Gov. Ron DeSantis was worse. Wallace began by asking for a preview of how the media will try and cover Trump for President 2024: "Viewers of this program know you all have some version of history with Donald Trump, and I really want this conversation to land on what we should do and how we should cover another run for president from him." Surveying the wreckage of the disappointing Republican midterms, voters were left scratching their heads, trying to figure out what went wrong. With the fundamentals being as bad as they were this year, Republicans underperformed expectations, and it was fairly obvious that they would experience no red wave by early in the evening on Election Night. While I've seen plenty of postmortems already, the single biggest issue that wrecked the wave was mail-in voting combined with ballot-harvesting, which all but eliminated Republican hopes in states where Democrats control the voting rules. This is why Senate polls were so wrong in these states.

Election Day is increasingly looking like election month, and frankly, unless state residents under our federal system get control of this, I see no end to it. In the worst cases, ballots are emailed to everyone who has ever been registered to vote whether or not they’ve died or moved away, faulty ballot printing results in valid ballots being tossed, equipment failures misregister votes, ballot drop boxes are left unmonitored, and so on -- all of which contribute to an atmosphere in which corruption flourishes. The more this happens, the more voters believe they cannot vote themselves out of policies and politicians with which they disagree.
