A new study of nationwide hospital databases found that at least 1,130 adolescents between 2016 and 2019 received “gender-affirming” chest surgeries in the U.S.
The study, published in JAMA Pediatrics, saw a 389% increase in adolescents (ages 12-17) obtaining chest surgeries from 2016 to 2019. An overwhelming majority (1,114) of the adolescents seeking this surgery were female (98.6%), and just 16 were male (1.4%).
“To our knowledge, this study is the largest investigation to date of gender-affirming chest reconstruction in a pediatric population,” the paper’s authors wrote,

Is there a reason that the powers in charge want to neuter the country? Think about it.

Gender affirming?
Hell no. Let's call it what it is.
Gender DENYING.

It's become a cliché but where are the feminists? Feminists have remained silent while men destroy women's school, professional and Olympic sports. They're silent while troubled young girls are destroying their bodies because they do not want to be female. Speak up before it's too late.

Where are the feminist's? Just a few short years ago doctors were warning against "boob jobs" for teens. They advised girls to wait until they had stopped growing and could make the decision as an adult.
I'm not surprised that the majority of surgeries were done on girls. Teenage girls can get caught up in all kinds of crazy fads during that time in their lives. In the early 90's, I had one who suddenly became a Vegetarian "Wiccan" because her new friends in high school claimed to be "empaths." The Vegetarian part lasted until dinner on first day. The other took a bit longer, but a short leash and the new best best friend walking off with her Walkman.
Now, she just brushes that time off as "stupid," but in that moment, if there was some surgery that could have made her fantasy permanent, she would have insisted that she needed it and her life would have no meaning if we refused.
Of course, we would have refused and society and the medical profession would have sided with us. We were the parents who had loved and cared for her since her conception. It was our job, our responsibility to protect her from herself. Thank God we had our teenager's before the medical profession was flooded with sex crazed therapists and unethical surgeons. Internet and "Influence's" were a thing.

Making an irrevocable decision before you're 18 is a recipe for a disaster. Even at that age, heads are full of mush, but they're legally "adult," so there's not much to stop them, except maybe the cost. If I had an 18 year old who wanted sex change surgery, I'd take them off my insurance, and tell them, "get a job and pay for it yourself."

Is there a reason that a child who can’t marry, even have sex legally, have a beer, drive, most of them, or vote can decide to permanently change their body?

Yes there is a reason #8 - MONEY !!!
Not from the child of course, but from the parents or people the who pay premiums for insurance, or both.
Along with, I afraid, another possibility - a relatively small group of sick
people who missed out on the German wave of 'experimentation' in the 30's & 40' but
still would like to take a crack at some more 'experiments'. But the second point is just my opinion.

South Park did an episode a few years ago, still shown in re runs, where a 4th grade girl begins to grow little breasts, and that drives the boys wild, making them act like animals.
The little girl decides to go to a surgeon, who tells her his specialty is enhancing breasts, not removing them, but will do her breast removal for 4000 dollars.
I suspect that South Park will revisit the subject soon.

The only breast removal surgery that could possibly be okay for those under 18 is because there is a super strong breast cancer history in the family, and lots of her relatives had died from that. When I was growing up, I knew an adult woman who had that in her family. It really terrified her. I know Angelina Jolie has that in her family and removed them. But there are genetic tests that could be done to verify you do have one of those bad genes and that is a legitimate medical reason.
