President Joe Biden told a climate activist on Sunday he would not allow any new drilling in the United States, just days after he complained that oil companies are not drilling enough.
“No more drilling. There is no more drilling,” Biden said, speaking to a climate activist as he finished up a rally in New York for Gov. Kathy Hochul (D-NY). “I haven’t formed any new drilling.” A young woman standing front and center held up a sign protesting Biden for allowing drilling on federal lands. The activist responded to Biden by noting there is still offshore drilling in the Antarctic and off of the Gulf of Mexico. “That was before

What in the world just happened? That’s the big question after an event President Joe Biden held on Sunday evening with New York Gov. Kathy Hochul.
Democrats have been rushing to help rescue Hochul following Republican candidate Lee Zeldin’s meteoric rise in the polls. New York, a deep blue state, is not supposed to be in play. The fact that it is so close says nothing good about Democrat chances come election night. I could write a whole other article on the insulting, tone-deaf things Hochul said at the “rally,” but really, I can’t just ignore this. Seriously, what is this?

On Saturday, new Twitter head Elon Musk announced changes to Twitter’s censorship rules, insisting that “Twitter will not censor accurate information about anything.” The response came in question to a query about Twitter’s election censorship policies from Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. The declaration follows a promise he made last month that he will “look into” one-sided censorship during the 2022 midterm election season. “I will look into this,” he tweeted in response to a similar tweet from Fitton. “Twitter should be even-handed, favoring neither side.”

Democratic Pollster Mark Penn said this week on "FOX News Sunday" that the Democratic Party has denied the impact of inflation ahead of the 2022 midterm elections by focusing all their energy on warning about "threats to democracy."
"I think that was really a stupid strategy... We will see whether I'm right and that was probably one of the worst strategies I've ever seen in a midterm, or they were right, and they had tough issues and decided to completely avoid them," Penn said.

Arkansas Sen. Tom Cotton has decided that he won’t run for president in 2024 — making him the first big-name Republican to step aside as former President Donald Trump and others make moves toward running.
The senator has been reaching out to donors, supporters and senior Republicans over the last few days to inform them of his plans, according to two people familiar with his deliberations. Cotton has attributed his decision to family concerns, saying that a national campaign would take him away from his two young sons, who are seven and five years old.

I will always be grateful for the presidency of Donald Trump and, if he is the GOP nominee for president in 2024, I will support him. But I am very disturbed that yesterday, at an airport rally in Pennsylvania, he attacked Ron DeSantis...with one of his derisive nicknames, except that this one doesn’t even make any sense: President Reagan of blessed memory left us with a very useful 11th commandment: “Thou shalt not attack another Republican."

Chillicothe, Ohio — Republican J.D. Vance, running against Rep. Tim Ryan (D-OH) for Ohio’s open United States Senate seat, says the U.S. needs a “committed national policy of tariffs” to “rebuild the industrial heartland of America.”

The interview with Vance happened over lunch after one of Vance’s stops in Chillicothe — roughly 100 miles outside of Cincinnati — when he was making a swing through southeast Ohio

It’s times like these when you yearn for the perfect words to explain not only how important it is to vote Tuesday, but also to properly describe just how awful the people you’re running against are. In the case of Democrats, unfortunately, the words needed to describe them tend to contain four letters and generally are slang for body parts or directions for action involving them. That makes them unusable in a family-friendly column, but I’m going to try to get around that as best I can and paint as accurate of a picture as possible about why we should be grateful for these horrible Democrats.

As Americans head to the polls on Tuesday, it is Democrats who are constantly reminding us of the virtues of American democracy, and how much that democracy is under threat from “ultra MAGA Republicans.” These deplorables routinely foment “insurrections,” deny people their right to vote, contest election results, and exult in hitting their enemies over the heads with hammers.
In other words, Democrats’ closing argument in the 2022 election asks—actually, it insists—that Americans assume that the mild-mannered Republicans they encounter in daily life are actually bloodthirsty fascists.
Good luck with that!

The new Florida election crimes unit is on the job sniffing out fraud with the all-important midterm elections only days away and has announced the arrest of a woman who faces felony charges for casting ballots in two states in the same election cycle.
On Friday, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement announced that 55-year-old Cheryl Ann Leslie of Loxahatchee, a registered Democrat, was charged with voting in both Florida and Alaska in the 2020 state and federal primary elections.
According to an FDLE press release, “Inspectors with FDLE’s Election Crime Unit today arrested Cheryl Ann Leslie, 55, of Loxahatchee, on two counts of casting more than one ballot in an election.

President Joe Biden has had a rough week, getting fact-checked by Twitter, delivering angry speeches while avoiding battleground states, and being forced to “moonwalk” away from his ludicrous claim that he would close coal plants all over the country. On Saturday, he was at it again, saying in a speech in Joliet, Illinois that protesters lacked mental acuity.
He was apparently triggered by the demonstrators outside the event who carried signs reading “Socialism Sucks,” “Vote Pro-Life,” and “Where’s Nancy.” His response: (Tweet/Video) I love those signs when I came in. Socialism.
Give me a break, what idiots.

The Canadian healthcare system is experiencing an acute shortage of basic painkillers, particularly acetaminophen and ibuprofen, which are commonly used to relieve pain and fever in children during flu season.
Canada’s Association of Medical Assistance in Dying Assessors and Providers (CAMAP) chose this perhaps awkward moment to roll out a webinar for healthcare professionals that advised them to offer assisted suicide to their suffering patients.
As Canada’s National Post noted, doctors around the world are normally “explicitly prohibited or strongly discouraged” from bringing up the subject of euthanasia, even in jurisdictions where assisted suicide is legal.
Beginning with a “guidance document” published in 2019, CAMAP asserted that, on the contrary,

In preparation for upcoming Tuesday’s midterm election, the National Guard will be activating cybersecurity teams in 14 states to assist in keeping election authorities’ networks secure from cyber attacks and from any malicious activities, Politico reported.
“The move is part of a wider effort to ensure the midterms are secure from cybersecurity threats, which have loomed large in recent years since Russian interference operations in 2016,” the outlet added.
During a press conference on Friday, Washington Air National Guard Brig. Gen. Gent Welsh said, “One of the things making a lot of this possible are states that’ve just decided to do it.”

Outgoing Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) endorsed Democrat Rep. Abigail Spanberger (D-VA) over her Republican challenger, Yesli Vega, just days before the midterm election.
Spanberger is a far-left Democrat running against Vega, former President Donald Trump’s choice to represent Virginia’s seventh congressional district.
“We don’t agree on every policy, but I am absolutely certain that Abigail is dedicated to serving this country and her constituents and defending our Constitution,” Cheney told the Washington Post. She accused Vega of “promoting conspiracy theories, denying election outcomes she disagrees with, and defending the indefensible.”
“We need our elected leaders to be honest, serious, and responsible,

Progressive policies funded and foisted on the Big Apple by Gov. Hochul and her left-wing allies have caused a legion of drug-addicted zombies to descend on East Harlem and transform parts of the neighborhood into lawless, open-air shooting galleries, neighbors and critics told The Post.
The real-life horror show plays out daily in the neighborhood’s gritty streets where The Post witnessed dozens of raving, hunched-over junkies commandeering East 126th Street — now the home of a controversial public-injection site — as drug dealers hovered nearby like vultures.

If Republican candidates do as well as expected on Tuesday, they can credit the new, widespread, and coordinated effort to begin securing U.S. elections, helping give candidates the best opportunity possible to win a fair fight in the new voting environment of mail-in balloting.
The Republican National Committee, other party entities, and dozens of public interest election nonprofit groups built over the last two years a multimillion-dollar election integrity infrastructure that passed laws improving voter ID and other election security measures, defended those laws from legal attacks by Democrats, and sued states and localities that failed to follow the law.

I guess it was just a matter of time, but doing it three days before the mid-terms seems less than ideal.
Donald Trump held a rally in Pennslyvania tonight, but as usual, the candidates running for office were an afterthought. Instead, the former president spent the majority of the time talking about himself. That’s not necessarily a bad thing. It’s a Trump rally after all, and to be sure, they can be very entertaining. Unfortunately, instead of some of the good things he said making news, there’s currently just one clip going gangbusters on Saturday night. That would be this one where Trump engaged in friendly fire by taking

Democrat Campaign Chief Sean Patrick Maloney (D-NY) encouraged New York voters struggling to afford gas prices and groceries to eat Chef Boyardee to offset the record levels of inflation seen under President Joe Biden’s administration.
“According to @spmaloney, Hudson Valley residents who are struggling to put gas in their tank and food on their table should eat Chef Boyardee,” Maloney’s Republican challenger, Mike Lawle, tweeted along with a recent clip of the Democrat discussing inflation. “I have a better idea — let’s Fire Sean Maloney and reduce inflation so that New Yorkers can afford to live here and eat what they want.” [Video]

The New Yorker spoke to Republican insiders about the coming election. What they heard was that, as bad as things look for Democrats now, the reality Tuesday is going to be even worse. Author Benjamin Wallace-Wells says the word that kept coming up in his conversations was “bloodbath.”
On Wednesday afternoon, I spoke with a leading Republican political consultant about the Senate campaign in Georgia. That race is strategically significant for both parties, but it has a special symbolic importance for Democrats. The incumbent, Raphael Warnock, who for many years has occupied Martin Luther King, Jr.,’s pulpit at Ebenezer Baptist Church, in Atlanta, is seen as a potential national leader
