One persistent myth in today’s materialistic society is that money rules everything. Those wishing to understand why people act the way they do are told to “follow the money.” The lust for power and wealth trumps everything. However, there are more important things than money--even on Wall Street. Some liberal businessmen and investment management firms often sacrifice profits to promote their leftist ideological causes.(Snip)On January 15, 2020, BlackRock founder and CEO Larry Fink sent a letter to CEOs saying that he will use its power to ensure “every government, company, and shareholder must confront climate change.”

FTA: “ . . . every government, company, and shareholder must confront climate change.” Well - - about two weeks ago - - I did exactly that. I was walking past a Korean grocery store - - and as I turned the corner - - whom did I come face-to-face with? Yes - - climate change! At first I was a little stunned. But I said to myself - - "It's about time I confront climate change." So I shouted out - - "Hey - - what are you doing here?" But climate change just gave me a sly smirk - - and then turned and ran down an alley way. Folks - - I managed to sum up the courage. So I'm asking all of you - - when you see climate change - - confront it! Larry Fink willl be very proud of you!

Blackrock recently launched an ad campaign. Blackrock commercials are all over Fox News. These ads considered against the backdrop of bad publicity such as this article and holdings in decline, have the look of a survival tactic, even desperation. To ‘ll with Blackrock and Larry Fink.

Back in the 1960s, the word FINK was a negative label used to describe an undesirable person of low repute. RATFINK was a label for a really really despicable, undesirable, very bad, untrustworthy person. The CEO of Blackrock seems to be going for maximization of his own name.

2nd post apologies, but I just remembered a character from The Office, a pompous fool named Robert California, who for a short time, was CEO of Dunder Mifflin. Robert thought he was discussing business strategies with Kevin, the fat accountant, who was actually talking about cookies, and their proper placement in the office vending machine. And in the midst of that dialogue, Roibert California says, 'why should Black Rock be viewed as being right about investment standards?' I didn't get it at the time, but now I do.

The Trump Corporation and the Trump Payroll Corp., two corporate entities under the Trump Organization umbrella, were found guilty on all 17 charges in a tax evasion trial in New York. The company faces a $1.6 million fine.(Snip)The prosecution relied on Allen Weisselberg, the organization’s former CFO. He “pleaded guilty to charges that he manipulated the company’s books and his own compensation package to illegally reduce his taxes.” Weisselberg never once implicated former President Donald Trump or the Trump family: “It was my own personal greed that led to this.”

Some New York lawmakers are renewing the push for a state law that would lay the groundwork to pay reparations to black residents whose ancestors were enslaved. Proponents gained steam after a task force in California last week recommended that the Golden State shell out $569 billion in reparations to slaves’ descendents there, or $223,200 apiece, because of lingering housing discrimination practices. A previously proposed New York measure called for creating a commission to study the impact of slavery and providing reparations but failed to pass the legislature. It is now being revised, backers said.

Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA) won reelection Tuesday, fending off a spirited challenge from Republican Herschel Walker while helping Democrats grow their thin Senate majority in the midterm elections after a bruising four-week runoff campaign. Warnock was leading Walker 50.4% to 49.6% when the race was called, earning the senator his first, full six-year term after ousting an appointed Republican incumbent in a special election runoff nearly two years ago. Walker’s defeat was a major blow to the Republicans. They capped a disappointing midterm election season with yet another loss that effectively surrendered a Senate seat to the Democrats, who saw their majority grow from 50 to 51.

Bolton wants to goad other Republicans into fighting Trump now over his remarks about “terminating” the Constitution, while at the same time misrepresenting what’s actually happening among GOP elected officials:

New York is poised to become the sixth state to legalize ‘human composting’ — which sees people turned into soil. It has already been legalized in California, Colorado, Oregon, Vermont and Washington, with more than 200 Americans opting for the process to date. And the latest eco-craze is surging in popularity with the center pioneering human composting — Recompose — tripling in size in just two years. They now have 1,200 people on the ‘waiting’ list.
