Jimmy Kimmel says he lost at least half
his fanbase over anti-Trump jokes

Original Article

Jimmy Kimmel this week said that he has lost at least half of his fanbase due to his anti-Trump jokes on his late-night show. "I have lost half of my fans — maybe more than that," the "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" host said on the "Naked Lunch" podcast Thursday, adding that "10 years ago among Republicans I was the most popular talk show host," according to research. He said when former President Trump was first running for office ABC executives "hinted" he should back off on his jokes about the candidate.

Comments:

Does anybody remember Johnny Carson? People loved his show because it was funny. Jimmy wants to be controversial, who cares? Another Hollywood liberal who thinks personal hatred matters. Not very funny. I'm above all the hicks who live in flyover country. I'm superior because I'm so intelligent I don't care about the bottom half of the audience. They don't matter.

Where did they come up with the figure of 18.9 million subscribers on Kimmel's You Tube Channel? Sounds pretty farfetched. Wonder what Adam Corolla, who has more talent in his little left toe than Kimmel, thinks of his former co-host on the Man Show?

The late-night leftist pseudo comedians are really getting full of themselves lately, imagining they are some kind of heroic revolutionaries fighting the evil capitalists with clever snark. They've even grown their scraggly beards to pose like some stand-up Che clones. Give it up, Doofusses. You look ridiculous. And you're not funny.

It’s not the anti-Trump jokes per se that tanked Kimmel’s ratings. It’s his typical leftist contempt and disrespect toward people who disagree with his politics. Who’s going to volunteer to watch themselves be verbally assaulted? Kimmel is a second rate Hollywood entertainer who seems to think he has some sort of political influence. He’s preaching to the choir because his remaining audience are the same liberal loons as he is.

Speaking as an EX ever single night Kimmel watcher for more than 15 years, I stopped dead in my tracks with his first politically biased statements and have never gone back. Are "they" counting those of us who were regulars for multi years back who stopped at the first inklings? I suspect not. If they did losing "half" his audience would be a very generous number. (And I am sure Jimmy thinks of himself as a brave soul, willing to give up ratings for "his values"---this from the guy who got away with painting himself Black on The Man Show and beyond. He is no hero.)

Remember Johnny? More recently, remember Jay Leno who was "middle-of-the-road" as well despite his wife's urgings. If Jimmy Kimmel was a "star" before getting the Tonight gig, I don't know how. His monologues are generally a harangue of one sort of another, funny as a heart attack. But that's the sort of "comedy" the sought demographic demands. It's not a bunch of "old folks" watching anymore. Does Budweiser still sponsor...if they do, they're pushing "Ultra", not the "King of Beers."

"Comments like these are the reason the American people are losing trust in President Biden and instead believes he does not understand the need to have an all in energy policy that would keep our nation totally energy independent and secure."
