House Republicans have for months threatened to impeach Joe Biden and equally disastrous members of his administration for their intentional attempts to destroy America if — which is now pretty much when — the GOP retakes control of the House in the midterms, now just two weeks away.
Apparently, those threats weren’t serious. At least not in Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy’s case. McCarthy last Wednesday downplayed talk of impeaching Biden or officials of the disastrous administration if the GOP regains control.
Just one problem. Republican lawmakers have introduced more than a dozen impeachment resolutions targeting Biden, Kamala Harris, and controversial Cabinet members, including Attorney General Merrick Garland, Secretary of State Antony Blinken,

President Joe Biden celebrated the birthday of Vice President Kamala Harris on Monday, but mistakenly called her “the president” again.
“Happy birthday to a great president,” Biden said, referring to the vice president’s birthday on October 20th.
The president spoke about Harris during a White House reception for the Diwali holiday.
“I know well, celebrating Diwali about a few years, days ago, it was also Kamala’s birthday,” Biden said joking, “She turned 30.”
First Lady Jill Biden was also complimentary of the vice president as she introduced her.
“Your warmth, wisdom and strength are a beacon to us all,” she said to Harris.

A group of 30 House liberals is urging President Biden to dramatically shift his strategy on the Ukraine war and pursue direct negotiations with Russia, the first time prominent members of his own party have pushed him to change his approach to Ukraine. A letter sent by the group to the White House on Monday, first reported by The Washington Post, could create more pressure on Biden as he tries to sustain domestic support for the war effort, at a time when the region is heading into a potentially difficult winter and Republicans are threatening to cut aid to Ukraine

A man canvassing for Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) in the Miami area was brutally attacked Sunday night, as we reported earlier. According to a tweet from Rubio, which was accompanied by pictures of the bloodied and bruised man in an ambulance, someone told the canvasser that “Republicans are not welcome here,” and then four people physically attacked the canvasser, causing internal bleeding and a broken jaw.
Just hours later, ABC’s Miami affiliate ran a story headlined “Hialeah police: ‘No indication’ of political motive in attack on Rubio canvasser,” although the rest of the police spokesman’s statement said, “at this time,”

Border crossers and illegal aliens arriving at the southern border will now be offered a free flu vaccine thanks to an initiative by President Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
For the first time in American history, border crossers and illegal aliens will be offered free flu vaccines when they arrive at the United States-Mexico border.
The Biden administration started the initiative about a month ago and has already given the vaccine to thousands of border crossers and illegal aliens, many of whom will be released into American communities as part of an expansive Catch and Release network.

In the year 2022 alone, the Republican National Committee (RNC) has filed 73 different lawsuits in 20 different states, alleging various violations of election procedure and resulting in several key victories, with two weeks to go before the midterms.
As reported by Fox News, the lawsuits focus on such matters as the counting of ballots that are either undated or mismarked, as well as the rights of poll watchers to directly observe the counting of ballots. The large-scale legal action by the RNC comes after widespread accusations of voter fraud in the 2020 election cycle, which many believe was enough to swing the results away from President Donald J. Governor Ron DeSantis faced off with former governor Charlie Crist tonight in the Sunshine State.
The latest poll in Florida shows Governor DeSantis with a 7 point lead over the former Republican turned Democrat.
The line of the night was when DeSantis zinged Charlie Crist who has been a politician in Florida for decades.
Governor Ron DeSantis: “I know that Charlie’s interested in talking about 2024 and Joe Biden, but I just want to make things very, very clear. The only worn-out old donkey I’m looking to put out to pasture is Charlie Crist.”

I think once we get past the midterms, there’s likely to be a countdown to when the Democrats finally start being honest about Joe Biden to sweep him to the side because of his issues. Of course, their bigger problem is that they don’t have good replacements for him. His second, Kamala Harris, has her own issues stringing together coherent sentences and doing anything that isn’t a failure. She’s also as unpopular as Joe Biden. So it doesn’t help them much. All the other possibilities, like Gavin Newsom or Pete Buttigieg, are second or third-string at best. But whoever is looking better get on it, because it’s clear

oe Biden Sunday evening falsely claimed Congress voted on his unconstitutional student loan forgiveness package during a sit-down interview with NowThis ‘Make Your Mark’ to discuss the midterm elections.
“It’s passed. I got it passed by a vote or two,” Biden said.
This is a brazen lie.
Congress never voted on Biden’s loan bailout plan.Joe Biden unilaterally announced a massive forgiveness of student loans in August.
Biden canceled up to $10,000 in student debt for borrowers who earn $125,000 a year or less and up to $20,000 for recipients of Pell Grants, NBC News reported.

With just two weeks remaining for election day, it was the final chance for Crist to showcase his candidacy in the face of the incumbent governor’s bully pulpit. How did it go for the Democrat? People will have to make up their own minds on that, but for my money, the beatdown by DeSantis was so thorough that I almost don’t even know where to begin. Jonathan Weisman and Neil Vigdor of the New York Times urged the Democrat party on Monday to “switch tacks” on inflation they “exacerbated” through massive spending.
With the midterm elections in just 15 days, the Times‘ writers warned the Democrat party is facing a massive defeat primarily due to inflation with an article titled “Democrats Can’t Ignore the Economy. But Can They Survive It?”
“Democratic candidates, facing what increasingly looks like a reckoning in two weeks, are struggling to find a closing message on the economy that acknowledges the deep uncertainty troubling the electorate while making the case that they, not the Republicans, hold the solutions,”

“The President was referring to the Inflation Reduction Act, which reduced the deficit by hundreds of millions of dollars, creating room for other crucial programs. As you know, no Republicans voted for the Inflation Reduction Act in the House or the Senate, where it passed by a single tie-breaking vote by Vice President Harris,” read the statement.

Warner Bros. Discovery’s restructuring costs are beginning to take shape.
On Monday the company said in a securities filing that it expects to take $3.2 billion to $4.3 billion in pre-tax restructuring charges tied to its WarnerMedia acquisition, including writedowns related to content of between $2 billion to $2.5 billion.
WBD has been engaged in what it has called a “global strategic review of content” since the WarnerMedia deal closed, canceling projects, nixing development and shelving unproductive library content. In its first quarter after the deal closed, it disclosed an $825 million writedown on content, and a substantially similar number is expected in in its Q3 report.

Two major Texas newspapers tell contrasting stories in their endorsements for the gubernatorial race. Republican incumbent Governor Greg Abbott is running for re-election. His Democrat challenger is Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke. The Dallas Morning News (DMN) endorsed Governor Abbott. The Houston Chronicle endorsed O’Rourke. Go figure.
Both Dallas and Houston are Democrat-led big cities. Houston is traditionally a bit more liberal than Dallas, but in these endorsements, you’d think that Dallas is a conservative city. It is not, by the way, so keep that in mind. The Houston Chronicle endorses Democrats over Republicans on a regular basis. So, when a conservative garners its endorsement, it is worth noting.

During one of his podcasts, Victor Davis Hanson made a keen observation. That, in and of itself, is nothing new, but this remark was particularly apropos. Hanson commented that if one looks at Joe Biden’s career, one will see that he has never been a “good person.” The onset of his dementia has simply made that character flaw harder to conceal.
That character flaw will be on display sometime this Monday. Biden, his cronies, and his handlers understand that they may not walk away with the midterm elections.

Biden also used the opportunity to coin the term "Mega-MAGA trickle down," which is how he has chosen to refer to Republican economic policies. The president went on to name House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, arguing that he and his fellow Republicans would grow the deficit by $3 trillion if their priorities were to pass. He also argued the party plans to use the deficit as a bludgeon against him.

Endonuclease fingerprint indicates a synthetic origin of SARS-CoV-2
bioRxiv preprint October 18, 2022 doi: https://doi.org/10.1101/2022.10.18.512756; this version posted October 20, 2022
Lay Summary: To construct synthetic variants of natural coronaviruses in the lab, researchers often use a method called in vitro genome assembly. This method utilizes special enzymes called restriction enzymes to generate DNA building blocks that then can be “stitched” together in the correct order of the viral genome. (snip)
We found that SARS-CoV has the restriction site fingerprint that is typical for synthetic viruses. The synthetic fingerprint of SARS-CoV-2 is anomalous in wild coronaviruses, and common in lab-assembled viruses.

Newsom on Sept. 30 signed AB 655, which bars Californians who previously had been members of a “hate group” or involved in “hate group activity” (in the past seven years) from police service. It remains unclear when the law will go into effect.

One of the core strengths of the late, great, sorely missed, Rush Limbaugh was his ability and willingness to constantly reground his listeners concerning basic truths. We tend to forget basics in the heat of political battle, usually to the detriment of conservative causes and candidates.
An excellent current example of this has to do with polling. I cannot believe how many conservative pundits, radio/podcast hosts and writers react to polls early in the season with dismay or even panic. “Beto is within three points of Abbot!” “Fetterman up seven over Oz? How can that be?” The answer is: you’re right, it can't be. It isn't true.

When the vice president of the United States says the border is “secure” at the same time that illegal border crossings have surged to more than a million a year, then one of two things must be true.
Either the vice president and the rest of the Biden administration have to be delusional, or they are lying. The widespread and coordinated plan to divide the Republican Party has failed, and it’s a major reason why Democrat prospects for the 2022 midterms are so bad. Separating Republican officials from their growing coalition of voters and the issues they care about has been the Washington establishment’s goal for several years now. The “divide and conquer” plan is being run by the Democrat Party, its propaganda press, and former leaders of the Republican Party such as Liz Cheney, who see how the GOP’s new composition and approach has threatened or destroyed their hold on power. But critics were quick to point out that Ellison knew at least two people who supported the Defund the Police movement, with the Republican National Committee pointing out that the incumbent attorney general had attended a rally in support of Omar and Rep. Cori Bush, D–Mo., both of whom

The Biden administration’s plans on gun control are really bad and instead of addressing the real underlying problems when it comes to gun violence, President Biden is pushing politically divisive measures that could seriously damage our right to keep and bear arms without making the nation any safer.
Last summer he signed into law the first major federal gun safety legislation passed in decades.
“God willing, it’s going to save a lot of lives,” Biden said at the White House as he finished signing the bill.

The 2022 midterm elections are two weeks away. (snip) Republicans should not break out the champagne quite yet as the GOP, also known as the “stupid party,” is fully capable of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. (snip) One example is in my state of Colorado where the Republican Senate candidate Joe O’Dea made these remarks on CNN:
“I don’t think Donald Trump should run again,” O’Dea said in an interview Sunday on CNN’s "State of the Union." (snip) Instead, GOP candidates need to ask one simple question that has nothing directly to do with Donald Trump. “Are you better off today than you were four years ago?”

President Biden premised his cancelation or forgiveness of student loans of up to $20,000 per person on “the financial harms of the pandemic.” However, a Wall Street Journal editorial duly noted that “the government had halted student loan payments since 2020, holding borrowers harmless. A month before he declared the pandemic ‘over,’ Biden extended that student loan pause through Dec. 31.”
Biden’s “plan,” as he calls it, is blatantly unconstitutional. It’s not unfair to say that everything about it is wrong. The only question is whether any party has legal standing to challenge it.
Indeed, Biden has altered the “plan” since the original announcement to exacerbate the standing issue for possible challengers.

The Republican National Committee (RNC) has launched 73 lawsuits on election integrity issues in 20 states during the 2022 midterm election cycle, an increase from 2020 that has already secured GOP victories in battleground states this year.
The scope of the legal challenges stretches from the rights of poll watchers to observe the counting of votes to the illegal counting of mismarked absentee ballots.
This aggressive legal approach is an effort to meet RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel's vision of making this cycle the RNC’s "most litigious," according to an RNC spokesperson. The strategy includes offense-minded lawsuits, such as suing Democratic secretaries of state and challenging Democrat-friendly election laws,

Joe Biden’s interview with MSNBC’s Jonathan Capehart was a dumpster fire.
Biden said he could “get a disease tomorrow” and “drop dead tomorrow” when asked about his old age.
“Watch me. You know, am I slowing up? Am I don’t have the same pace? I’m a big believer in fate. I could get a disease tomorrow, I could, you know, drop dead tomorrow,” Biden said.
Biden then got handsy and grabbed the reporter: “I can’t even say the age I’m gonna be! I can’t even get it out of my mouth!”

When you bring down unemployment, inflation goes up.” — Nancy Pelosi, Oct. 18 interview.
For more than a year, Democrats have dismissed inflation, pointed the finger of blame at everyone but themselves, or tried to make it sound like we should be grateful because inflation “always happens” when the economy recovers.
Way back in June 2021, President Joe Biden said higher prices “were expected and are expected to be temporary” because, you see, “you can’t flip the global economics light back and not expect this to happen.”
The public never bought into this, but kudos to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for sticking with the Big Lie.

Lefty New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez praised the UK parliamentary system — and took shots at US politics — following Prime Minister Liz Truss’ resignation.
The Democratic congresswoman told a British Instagram follower who claimed to be embarrassed by the UK, that America was actually the more shameful of the two countries.
“Honestly I respect the UK for having a political system that is responsive and independent enough to swiftly make corrections in situations such as these,'” AOC wrote on her Instagram story Saturday night.

Despite both major parties claiming they have an advantage, the race for control of Congress appears to be a dead heat, the most recent I&I/TIPP data show. But there’s a big potential surprise element that could tilt the balance sharply: Nearly one out of every seven registered voters, or 15%, are “not sure” whom they’ll vote for.
The online poll of 1,158 voters across the country was taken from October 5-7, with a margin of error of +/- 2.9 points.
The poll asked those responding: “What is your preference for the outcome of this November’s congressional elections?”
Answers showed the sharp division among the electorate,

President Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) welcomed a foreign population at the United States-Mexico border in fiscal year 2022 that exceeds the populations of 15 states.
As Breitbart News reported, Biden’s DHS has overseen the largest inflow of illegal immigration in a single fiscal year with more than 2.2 million border crossers and illegal aliens having arrived at the southern border from October 1, 2021, to September 20, 2022.

As we head into the homestretch of the 2022 midterms, let’s see whether the press will pick up on an issue that they’ve been studiously ignoring: the effect of COVID policies. This will be the first time voters will have a chance to register their opinions in a federal election about COVID-related mask mandates, vaccine mandates, lockdowns, and out-of-control spending since the debate heated up in 2021. Those issues—and the attendant issue of parents discovering what the public schools are actually teaching their children—were massive factors in Glenn Youngkin’s victory in last year’s Virginia gubernatorial election. Just one year earlier, remember, Joe Biden beat Donald Trump in Virginia

The Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency carried out a nationwide sting operation that arrested 175 illegal aliens, all with multiple drunk driving convictions and some who killed Americans.
From August 20 to September 30, ICE agents arrested nearly 200 illegal aliens who had multiple drunk driving convictions across a number of states including the sanctuary states of California and New York.
Aside from drunk driving convictions, some of the illegal aliens arrested in the sting had prior convictions for vehicular homicide, hit-and-run, assault, child abuse, weapons violations, domestic violence, and fraud.

President Joe Biden falsely said he passed his much-ballyhooed student loan bailout package by a “vote or two” even though Congress has not yet voted on it.
The president made his bizarre comments while outlining the details of his student loan forgiveness program at a Now This News forum that covered a range of issues.(Tweets/Videos) President Biden’s plan would essentially give up to $20,000 in student loan cancellation to Americans earning less than $125,000 a year if they received Pell Grants and up to $10,000 in cancellation if they did not receive Pell Grants.

Joe Biden on Sunday participated in a sit-down interview with NowThis ‘Make Your Mark’ to discuss the midterms and the failing Democrat agenda.
The entire interview was a dumpster fire.
Biden relied on notecards to get through the discussion because his brain barely works.
Dylan Mulvaney, a transgender ‘activist’ (biological male) and raging misogynist who mocks women for a living, asked Joe Biden if it is wrong for states to ban sex reassignment surgery for children (genital mutilation).

“There will be no condoms. There will be no abortions. There will be no Plan B pills. There will be no birth control pills,” MSNBC/CNN contributor Tristan Snell tweeted. (Video)

November is almost upon us, and the consensus among credible election analysts is that any momentum the Democrats enjoyed this summer has evaporated. Despite implausible claims about the ephemeral “Dobbs effect,” the election was always destined to be about inflation, crime, immigration, and President Joe Biden’s job performance — all issues that favor Republicans. Yet the Democrats and the corporate media continue to engage in magical thinking about the midterms.

U.S. leaders have amassed a long track record of deception about Washington’s international objectives and the nature of U.S. foreign clients. Modest or even minor threats and disruptions became supposed existential threats to America’s security, as well as threats to regional or world order, in Washington’s overwrought propaganda narratives. In addition, multiple administrations routinely whitewashed the record of authoritarian foreign clients. Thus, autocrats such as Nicaragua’s Anastasio Somoza Debayle, Egypt’s Hosni Mubarak, and ugly extremists, such as Syria’s Sunni Jihadists, all became honorary members of the “Free World.”

Republican Congressman Tom Emmer has ambitions of being the third-highest GOP member if they win a majority in the midterms. Did his ambition make him commit a tactical error by attacking Tucker Carlson’s son, a staffer for Emmer’s biggest competitor?
Tucker seems to think so and lashed out at Emmer in leaked conversations. According to Axios:
An irate Tucker Carlson phoned Rep. Tom Emmer (R-Minn.), chairman of the House Republican campaign committee, with an ultimatum on Friday.

A week ago, Colorado senate republican candidate Joe O’Dea said on CNN, “I don’t think Donald Trump should run again.” He quickly added, ” I’m going to actively campaign against Donald Trump and make sure that we have got four or five really great Republicans right now; Ron DeSantis, Nikki Haley and Tim Scott.”
President Trump blasted O’Dea the following day. Today, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis picked Joe O’Dea as his only 2022 endorsed senate candidate, recording a robocall for O’Dea that says, “Hello this is Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. America needs strong leadership and desperately. That’s why I’m endorsing Joe O’Dea for U.S. Senate. Colorado, please vote for Joe O’Dea.”

New York - The Houston Astros freight train will roll into the World Series. Houston swept the New York Yankees on Sunday night, winning Game 4 by a 6-5 score in a battle that went back and forth as New York put up a fight to try to extend their season another night.
So far this postseason, the Astros have not lost, winning all three games against the Seattle Mariners in the ALDS and all four games against the Yankees in the ALCS. This is the fourth time Houston has made the World Series since 2017.

It looks like President Joe Biden might get his winter of death after all, and it’s not because of the unvaccinated.
If you live in the Northeast, you know that even in normal times, heating oil bills constitute a significant expense because winters are usually brutal. Unfortunately, this year could be the worst year ever for residents of the region hoping to adequately heat their homes. Not only are heating oil prices through the roof on anti-fossil fuel President Joe Biden’s watch, but even for those who have the funds to stock up, it doesn’t really matter: heating oil rationing is already taking place.

Washington’s Senate race between 30-year incumbent Sen. Patty Murray (D-WA) and Republican Tiffany Smiley has been placed on “upset alert” by the University of Virginia Center for Politics.
Larry Sabato’s Crystal Ball, the Center’s political prognosticating publication, also switched the race from “Safe Democratic” to “Likely Democratic.” The move in favor of Smiley also comes as the Republican outraised Murray by nearly double in the third quarter, beating her $6 million to $3.3 million. National Republican Senatorial Committee Chairman Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) also put Smiley’s race on his list of pick-up opportunities.
Smiley is also polling within the margin of error in several polls,

The Democrats have tried everything they can think of to convince voters that the Republicans are too scary to vote for.
Obviously none of their messaging has worked.
When the campaign season was ramping up things were already looking pretty bad for the Party. The economy was sputtering and Biden’s popularity was in the toilet, so they had very little to work with. So they pivoted away from talking about what their “accomplishments” were and what their future plans would be to a very simple, straightforward message: Republicans are very very scary.
