One Simple Question Republicans Can Ask

The 2022 midterm elections are two weeks away. (snip) Republicans should not break out the champagne quite yet as the GOP, also known as the “stupid party,” is fully capable of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. (snip) One example is in my state of Colorado where the Republican Senate candidate Joe O’Dea made these remarks on CNN: “I don’t think Donald Trump should run again,” O’Dea said in an interview Sunday on CNN’s "State of the Union." (snip) Instead, GOP candidates need to ask one simple question that has nothing directly to do with Donald Trump. “Are you better off today than you were four years ago?”

Somehow someway this election is going to be a lot closer than the media claims it's going to be. While every poll shows the Republicans leading in almost every state, somehow the demosluts will come up with the votes to make it much closer than it should be. Call it fraud or whatever, but far too many people are going to vote demoslut against their better instincts. Demoslut voters will vote in lock step despite record inflation and everything else the demosluts have screwed up. There is an obvious record of just the last 15 years that points to the fact that voting demoslut makes life harder and more expensive. Yet like lemmings marching to the sea, there will be people who like Stepford wives will vote demoslut. People will vote to make their lives worse. Perhaps the name the Stupid Party should apply to the people who vote demoslut no matter what.

Republicans should not be too self-assured and confident. I just pray that leaders will not do something stupid. as they have been known to do. to turn victory into defeat.

Very foolish on O'Dea's part. This is why he does not have a snowballs chance in hell of winning that election.

So often, the wisdom of moms everywhere rings true: If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. Donald Trump is not on the ballot in CO. Why comment on him? It is an irrelevant distraction.

Kamala Harris has just scored a hat trick of buffoonery. While we are accustomed to her embarrassing herself virtually every time speaks extemporaneously, her verbal tomfoolery may be keeping pace with the accelerating dementia of her boss, Joe Biden. We’ll start with an outright lie, committed during an interview with Esme Murphy of WCCO-TV in Minneapolis. (snip)The Vice President of the United States called claims that she supported the Minnesota Freedom Fund, established to bail out rioters arrested during the first round of arson and looting following the death in police custody of career criminal George Floyd "misinformation": [video] This is an easily proven lie: [tweet]

A few days back it was reported that a GOP super PAC aligned with Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (Kentucky) would withdraw a significant $5.6 million reserved for TV ads from New Hampshire’s Senate race. McConnell's PAC is spending about $9 million on Murkowski. Kanye’s Anti-Semitism Remarks Warrant Debate 8 replies

One of the reasons I rarely post on Twitter is that it’s very easy for typos to become memes. Remember Trump’s Covfefe tweet? What did it mean or was it a just a slip of the mouse? Thus, we don’t really know whether Kanye West really meant death con3 to Jews or did he mean defcon3 which is a military term for increase in force readiness above that required for normal readiness. These misreads especially occur when someone is speaking rather than typing into a computer. In my old age, I need subtitles for everything I watch and the subsequent incorrect translation of speech can be quite amusing.

There will be some surprising results this year in races almost nobody is covering. Most of the surprises wil be due to a general sense of misery among voters, which leads to anti-incumbency. (snip) Chuck Grassley is in big trouble in Iowa (and of course no money is being spent to prop him up one last time). (snip) Incumbents below 50% this late are in big trouble (snip) In Connecticut, Richard Blumenthal is ahead by 5, with only 49% support. (snip) Kevin Stitt, the Republican governor in Oklahoma (!!!!) is trailing in latest poll. In Washington state, Tiffany Smiley is only a few points behind Patty Murray.

Were the fate of the free world not in the hands of this man, the setting of Joe Biden’s many dementia moments to a catchy tune would be hilarious. Actually, it still is hilarious despite the awful reality underlying it. This is a brilliant satire that is also self-evidently accurate. Whoever came up with the tune, the selection of clips, and the electronic means of making Biden’s voice follow the music did a wonderful job. It is so catchy that it is staying in my mind with the chorus, “My mind’s going blank now” repeating endlessly, a political ear worm of devastating impact. There is no effective response

The tactic described as the October Surprise holds the juiciest fruits of opposition research until late in the election cycle. What if they all were electric? (snip) cars from southern Florida would start running out of juice after 100 – 250 miles. They would then have to spend hours at recharging stations, which would rapidly be clogged with other cars and trucks waiting their turn (snip) Cars waiting to be charged would spill onto the highways (snip) Those cars that ran out of juice on the highway would block traffic.

t almost sounds like a scene from an Indiana Jones movie: a dusty warehouse. The smell of must permeating the air. The only sound the scurrying of the occasional rat. And entombed within it, thousands of boxes upon boxes, practically stamped “TOP SECRET.” But this is no flight of Hollywood fantasy. It is the reality of what remains of the Barack Obama presidency: Twenty truckloads of crates, kept in a space that formerly housed the inventory of Plunkett Furniture, containing roughly thirty million documents generated during the eight years of Obama’s time in the Oval Office.

On reading about the Saturday arrest of pro-life activist Mark Houck, I thought the author at this alternative site had to be exaggerating. For two years, a U.S. presidential administration has perpetrated a racial hoax. Teamed up with Black Lives Matter (BLM), an unscrupulous, failed, corrupt organization that promotes violence, Americans have been duped by the world’s largest racial hoax. In mid-2019, driven by Trump hatred, congressional hearings on Confronting White Supremacy laid the groundwork. Those hearings introduced a concept that Team Biden and the media would recite endlessly: White supremacists are extremist domestic terrorists and the biggest threat to the nation. Democrat congressman Jamie Raskin said that, in 2018, the FBI identified 39 such murders (less than 0.02% of deaths from drug overdoses).

House Republicans have for months threatened to impeach Joe Biden and equally disastrous members of his administration for their intentional attempts to destroy America if — which is now pretty much when — the GOP retakes control of the House in the midterms, now just two weeks away. Apparently, those threats weren’t serious. At least not in Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy’s case. McCarthy last Wednesday downplayed talk of impeaching Biden or officials of the disastrous administration if the GOP regains control. Just one problem. Republican lawmakers have introduced more than a dozen impeachment resolutions targeting Biden, Kamala Harris, and controversial Cabinet members, including Attorney General Merrick Garland, Secretary of State Antony Blinken,

Ron DeSantis (R) is recording a robocall for a Republican candidate whom Trump has rejected. That candidate is Joe O’Dea, the underdog Senate contender in Colorado who is trailing Sen. Michael Bennet (D-CO) in public opinion polls and last week made waves when he vowed to "actively campaign against" Trump and spoke favorably of other party heavyweights, including DeSantis. Sharing the article written by Washington Examiner senior political correspondent David Drucker on his Truth Social platform, Trump added a brief message. "A BIG MISTAKE!" Washington — Plastic recycling rates are declining even as production shoots up, according to a Greenpeace USA report out Monday that blasted industry claims of creating an efficient, circular economy as "fiction." Titled "Circular Claims Fall Flat Again," the study found that of 51 million tons of plastic waste generated by U.S. households in 2021, only 2.4 million tons were recycled, or around five percent. After peaking in 2014 at 10 percent, the trend has been decreasing, especially since China stopped accepting the West's plastic waste in 2018. Virgin production — of non-recycled plastic, that is — meanwhile is rapidly rising as the

President Biden attacked Republicans in a speech to the Democratic National Committee headquarters on Monday, stoking claims that Republicans would "crash the economy" in an attempt to force him to gut Medicare. Biden also used the opportunity to coin the term "Mega-MAGA trickle down," which is how he has chosen to refer to Republican economic policies. The president went on to name House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, arguing that he and his fellow Republicans would grow the deficit by $3 trillion if their priorities were to pass. He also argued the party plans to use the deficit as a bludgeon against him.
