California Gov. Gavin Newsom, a Democrat, has signed two bills into law that will limit who is eligible to become a peace officer, even as many cities across the Golden State struggle with police shortages. Critics say the new laws will create an “ideological purity test,” preventing some conservatives and Christians from joining already-strapped police forces.
Newsom on Sept. 30 signed AB 655, which bars Californians who previously had been members of a “hate group” or involved in “hate group activity” (in the past seven years) from police service. It remains unclear when the law will go into effect.

I think that for Mini He Pelosi, his reflex thinking is: If that's how the CCP does it, that's how we're gonna roll!

If he applied the same dictates to himself, he would have to fire himself. He hates the Republicans just like his auntie hates them.

"Hate" groups prohibited: Christians, Republicans (particularly the black ones), MAGAs, election fraud, climate change and vaccine 'deniers', pro-lifers, anyone with he-him and she-her pronouns and anyone who ever worked for FOX News.
Permitted groups: Trannys, pedophiles, Islamists, climate alarmists, any gender fluid non-binary birth hosting person, pro-abortion screeching harridans and anyone who still has an I'm With Her bumpersticker.

Sorry #1 my finger accidentally touched the Report flag. Didn't even notice it there. And they don't give a way to "unreport". Actually I agree with your comment.

This has been going on for years. OJ Simpson claimed innocence because Mark Fuhrman collected the evidence from the murder scene. And Mark Fuhrman was overhard making inappropriate comments years before the incident. Therefore Fuhrman, one of LA's best detectives, was bounced from the police force and OJ was set free.

I neglected to include under the permitted list BLM, Antifa, MS-13 and any Venezuelan convicts conveniently relocated to our southern border. Sorry, too many to try to remember them all.

Isn't this just another way of transferring power away from citizens, by empowering California bureaucrats and outside lobbyists, none of whom are accountable to voters?
The SPLC has an exhaustive list of hate groups, but California needs to make its OWN list. If it wants to put Christians, Republicans, conservatives or Trump voters on its list of hate groups, so be it. But California's politicians should not be allowed to simply use a list of hate groups made somewhere else, to discriminate against individuals who happen to be Christian, Republican, conservative or Trump voters. This scheme abuses ordinary citizens by smearing them as members of "hate" groups without individuals having committed any crime or violating the rights of anyone.

Oh good. Then Christians can bring their bibles to school, pray and say the Pledge of Allegiance every day. After all, no one wants "hate" and "bias".

After removing as many 'old school' cops as possible, flood the ranks with new recruits who understand fealty to the State is paramount. The State may need to use them to thin the ranks of the stubborn citizenry.

Only extreme leftists will be permitted. Any person who has ever admitted believing in the U.S. Constitution or the Bill of Rights will be barred from their organized group of thugs.
